Everything was AMAZING! Service and food were flawless! Thank you!!
Very good food and services
Consistently very good dining experience. Service is always friendly, variety and taste of food delicious and wait staff professional and friendly. Only surprising thing was the special of ossobucco was $70!! Pricing in Manhattan is simply shocking.
A beautiful meal. Looking forward to our next visit.
My daughters and I love this restaurant. We come here every time we’re in NY.
Great ambience and service!
The food was excellent. The waiter was very helpful. Wonderful evening.
We had 8 pm reservations. Did not get seated until almost 8:45. Had two glasses of wine at the bar and was surprised that the bill was $38 - but fine. The noise level was incredibly high - we were shown a table which seemed very much at an intersection of waitstaff. Asked if there was another table available and we were told no. the waitstaff was basically yelling over our heads making the dining experience miserable. Told the maifre-d it wasn’t going to work and that we would leave at which point he offered us another table ... but it was too late. Overall - unnecessarily unpleasant experience at a restaurant where we exptected much better. They need to fix their noise level and improve client service. My experience at their place downtown was very different - what a pity. Definitely would not recommend ...
Perfect. We were very impressed with service and food. Best Italian restaurant!
Excellent food, nice staff, only caveat was it was very loud.
We love treating ourselves to Il Mulino. Today, they had a special that was a real treat--stuffed zucchini flowers. Fantastic. Then we both had the langustine--incredible. Sweet, tender, and accompanied by risotto. Incredible food.
Il Mulino is one of my favorite spots for dinner in Las Vegas and New York. We were only disappointed this visit due to the EXTREME dim lighting. No one could read the menu without their cell phone lights which was really annoying. Other than that, it was a great dinner!
Food was great. Service was atrocious. I ordered a specific bourbon that I always drink and received the rye from the same company and they refused to change. Then I was having still water and somewhere along the way it had sparkling poured into it. On top of that when my pasta came (which was undeniably good) I was shouted at to not start eating - when I had a forkful already in my mouth - as a particular garnish they apply at the table hadn’t come out yet. Been here a few times before. Can’t say I’ll be back.
One the best Italian restaurants in NY. They never disappoint with their authentic dishes and some the best wait staff there is in the industry. This is a must go each visit we make to New York.
as always Il Mulino is a extraordinary option for food and wine
Amazing staff and food. Will definitely come back on our next trip!
We waited for 30 minutes past our reservation, but the table, food and service more than compensated for the wait. Wee will definitely go back!
It’s a challenging balance to achieve but, I always feel that the service signals an obnoxious desire to rush me way too much through dinner. They need to find a more consumer - friendly way to “turn the covers” without making the patrons feel like cattle.
Fabulous service and amazing food. Il Mulino never disappoints!
For restaurant week, this was the best value. It was my husband’s birthday so I thought I would take him to a nice lunch. Just the two of us. The family treated him the night before and that same evening and continued through the weekend at different restaurants. This was the best one he enjoyed. The sea bass entree was perfect and so delicious. He enjoyed his appetizer meatball with risotto. They even sang for him when they brought his favorite chocolate dessert. Service excellent and actually was surprised. We definitely found another place to return to.
Lunch restaurant week--veal parmagiane was awful, wine and de-caf coffee were were overpriced, coffee tasted like dishwater
This is my best choice while in NY or Miami - the Fettuccine is second to none. Service is outstanding with reasonable prices for such an excellence - mandatory on any stay in NY.
We did not realize it was restaurant week. Il Mulino had an exceptional menu for $29 for three courses. Unlike most restaurants during restaurant week, there were very good options to select. I had the cheese ravioli, risotto and flourless chocolate cake. Quite a value. We normally spend $200 or so for lunch, so this was a treat. I missed my langustines but will have them next time!
We thought this had advertised as restaurant week for dinner as well as lunch and were surprised, as was another couple sitting near us to find it was not. Nevertheless we were eager to try the food. The food was good and surprisingly plentiful but the prices were extravagant. The restaurant was very noisy and very, very dark. Not what we'd expect from a 4 star restaurant. We won't go back.
It was a Restaurant Week Lunch.
Service was frenetic, room was noisy, overwhelming.
Food was ok, nothing memorable.
Would not return, wine very expensive.
Some friends took my husband and I here and we received white glove treatment. My friend was visiting from Boston so I was excited to take her to this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best, the portions were extremely small and they never brought us out the usual appetizers. A waiter asked if we would like some fresh cheese and pepper, left to get it and never came back. When we asked for it they seemed to be annoyed. I was really disappointed. Apparently if you are not a regular they treat you very differently. I would never go to this restaurant again.
I always have an amazing time
Best service we had in all of the restaurants we visited! They took impeccable care of us.
Food was good. Service was lacking when I asked for something it was acknowledged but never surfaced. When leaving we gave the girl at the front our coat check and she stated the girl would be back soon to get our coats. We stood in front of her for awhile without her making any motion to help and get the coat. When I asked if someone else could get the coat she repeated quite nastily that the girl would be back soon. The male greeter was no better stating that it was two floors up for the coat so we would have to wait. Better more pleasant greeters in a restaurant like this would be expected
Fine Italian dinner, with extras, but what's the hurry?
Nice options for restaurant week lunch.
Delicious little light ricotta meatball in fresh tomato sauce with a ricotta ?sauce, very good fish, veal parmigiana was a little dry, the pear dessert was two tiny slices that must have added up to one eight of a pear, BUT the flourless chocolate cake was DIVINE. So a kitchen that wasn't at its best.
The wait staff is prompt, but the busboys must think they ballboys at a Grand Slam tennis match, very eager to clear things away, with no eye contact and too fast.
Enjoyed Restaurant week lunch..I will return ! The food was super, waiters polite and helpful..it was difficult getting to the restaurant with all the chaos on the outside street.I hope it will be complete soon !!!!!
Came for Restaurant Week lunch. Really good. Some "welcome apps", nice size portions, outstanding, friendly, accommodating service. Always a treat!
Lovely experience. Been to the 2 in Miami Beach, 1st time at this one. Was not disappointed. Everyone from the hostess to the server & busboy were delightful. The decor is great with photos of icons such as Jackie & Audrey. The food was really good. I shall return.
We are big fans and Avid customers of all of your restaurants around the country and Puerto Rico. It was very good as usual, maybe a little overpriced. Waiter did Rush us and even had an attitude when we took a little time to order. Talk to the manager and it was resolved pretty quickly.
Had an 8pm reservation and wasn’t seated until 8:15. Frenetic service and food was mediocre at best for the high price.
It was my birthday celebration. The service was wonderful and the staff were so friendly.
We love late lunch at Il Mulino, and this one was special. We had a late lunch New Year's Eve Day Lunch. We don't like going out on New Years' Eve. The restaurant was decorated with balloons, and it was a delight to be able to order from their regular menu. We skipped an appetizer, and ordered the langustine with risotto. Unbelievably delicious. They also make an amazing risotto. We loved our waiter (we've had him before--Vladimir) who remembered the wine we drank the last time we were at the restaurant as well as what we ordered. Cudos to a well run restaurant with a terrific chef.
Put aside how extraordinarily expensive this restaurant is: the food is excellent and beautifully presented. The plain decor would be enhanced by a few flowers, which is the minimum one would expect here.
Amazing food! Veal saltimbocca and chicken parmesan are amazing!
Excellent food, try pasta with caviar, it's not in the menu, and endive salad, you just request , of course the pasta it's expensive but is really good. The langoustines very good. Service excellent, good ambiance.
