Il Mulino New York - Uptown
There’s no place like Il Mulino New York. The luxury Italian restaurant’s flagship Greenwich Village outpost initiated New York’s fine Italian dining trend and is still prized in the city’s elite dining scene. Zagat has rated Il Mulino New York as Manhattan’s No. 1 Italian restaurant for decades and has said the restaurant provides "one-of-a-kind" cuisine filled with delicious flavors, creating an "outstanding Italian classic" restaurant where "every dish is a masterpiece."
Executive Chef Michele Mazza, who hails from Naples, Italy, has proudly carried this tradition since 2003. Fresh ingredients, artistic preparation and impeccable service distinguish Il Mulino New York as one of the world’s premiere restaurants. In addition to fine dining, Il Mulino New York provides excellent off-site catering and products.

Food was good-room is tired to the point of being run down -
Excellent service and delicious food. Highly recommend for business or special occasion meal.
Muy buen servicio y ambiente, pero Muy caro para la calidad de la comida.
We came here for our wedding anniversary and it's always fantastic. Amazing service and food. Couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate.
My favorite restaurant!
As always, Amazing!!
The food was outstanding but extremely expensive. $78 for a plate of pasta with truffles. We sat outside in a plastic seating area due to Covid protocols. So the ambiance was clearly lacking. The food is so good that it didn’t matter. I’d like to go back when seating inside is available
an oasis of ability and civility. the food is wonderful. the service is unparalleled. go here if want to remember what it is like to be in NYC
Creo que la calidad de la comida ha bajado un poco
Service was rude by the Garson.
The food for my wife was nothing like what she was explained of.
My dish and my moms dish was good, but again the lack of quality personnel was a big downer.
Very disappointed cause we thought very highly of that restaurant, and we couldn't believe that Il Mulino was a below average place to eat.
I would not recommend this restaurant, and much less promote it as a top of the line place to dine
Delicious food beautifully served. We will definitely return.
Outstanding 5 stars in every way !!
Great salad, great veal chop and nice complimentary starter
Good was fabulous! Very attentive servers…will be a go-to when in NYC
The BEST Italian and dining experience in NYC!
Great dinner with excellent drinks, food, and overall vibe.
Pricey but wonderful
Perfect food and ambience. Waiters were all friendly and attentive.
chicken Parm amazing and service excellent
After telling the waiter that the pasta was under cooked, he said he couldn’t tell the chef we didn’t like it because we at more than one bite! I’ve never heard of something so ridiculous in my life. There we two of us and we both tried it and agreed it was crunchy! He of course changed his position when I got upset with him but by then it was too late and we cancelled the remainder of our order and left. Beyond disappointed.
Excellent staff fabulously food amazing atmosphere
Best Italian restaurant in NYC.
Food superb along with the service.
Always look forward to our next visit.
We absolutely love all of the staff. The food is always delicious.
This is always a wonderful experience. The service is impeccable and warm and the food is outstanding. We took my brother and sister in law out to celebrate a retirement and had a great time. Looking forward to many other happy return visits!
Great service and the food’s delicious.
This was a perfect conclusion for Restaurant Week!
Would never go again.
Annoying waiters, can’t hear , repeat themselves, too much in your face , took long time to get Anyone’s attention initially.
Waste of my last night in nyc
Food was extremely salty and overpriced
The service was excellent. Food was good. Best tiramisu!
Restaurant Week lunch at Il Mulino was superb. Choices were great, food was excellent, service was wonderful. We ate outside in the well-decorated shed which due to its location (60th off Madison) was somewhat noisy. However, it did not detract from our very pleasant lunch. This was altogether a most enjoyable experience!
Really wonderful food and service as always. The restaurant week lunch menu was excellent with generous portions. Would highly recommend.
The food continues to impress. We had the Mushroom Risotto, the Branzino and a side of sauteed spinach. Perfect summer lunch. The flourless chocolate cake topped it off. Absolutely delicious. The team makes it feel like a second home and the service is spot on!
Great experience amazing food and service
We went for Restaurant Week. We still received the complimentary appetizer which was delicious. We each had different, very good appetizers (beet salad, jumbo shrimp, melon/prosciutto) and all different entree's (salmon, veal, pasta, red snapper) also excellent. This was 3 courses and gave us a choice of sorbet or tiramisu dessert. Probably the best tiramisu I've ever had, served w/sorbet, strawberries. All for $39, a bargain. Service was quite good, but a bit brusque for my taste. Moderate noise level as music kept low. We were very pleased with the number of choices offered for each course. Only one problem was that the restrooms were located in the basement, so not handicap accessible.
Went for restaurant week.
Everyone that works in the restaurant are great! They did everything they could to make our lunch super enjoyable! The appetizers were just average but the entrees were sooo good and the dessert was delicious too! I wanna go back to try other plates from their regular menu!
Delicious food. Great service. A great place to bring someone you want to impress and enjoy delicious Italian food with.
For such an elegant-appearing restaurant, the service was far from elegant. For example: there were no serving utensils for the amuse-gueule, our forks were inadequate (spoon would have been approprite), and were not replaced with clean forks for the first course; kitchen staff rushed through the restaurant from time to time, arms loaded with cooking equipment; glasses of sparkling water were about to be refilled with tap water, until I reminded the server that we had a bottle of Perrier sitting in the ice bucket; etc. As for the food: melon and prosciutto very good; veal very tough; red snapper a bit overcooked and too many onions; coffee old and bitter, server a bit sassy when fresh coffee requested.
Maybe the restaurant is better when it is not restaurant "week." I will never know.
