Il Mulino New York - South Beach
4 course prix fixe dinner, $49 per person.
Miami Spice Menu - August 1st thru September 30:
3 course prix fixe lunch, $23 per person; and dinner, $39 per person.
Very disappointing food..
Beware! They advertise a special lunch menu on their website which is a great value and perfect portion sizes for lunch. However, now that is "season" in Miami Beach, they only offer the dinner menu for lunch.
Poor service. Inattentive staff. No manager in sight.
Everything was great accept the chicken parmigiana . The Chicken was Thick It had No sauce just had cheese , it was awful . I had to send it back . The waitress said that she was going to take it off the bell and then she ordered us desert and said it was on the house I was on the end she round of charging us for the chicken cutlet anyway.
She was a very nice waitress but I was disappointed in that
The A staff was clearly not working with that said the staff there did try.
Elegant, warm, inviting and food was excellent!
Excellent service! So much food! But everything was wonderful!
In one word, FANTASTIC! Great service, atmosphere, and of course the food. The staff was synchronized to perfection. The key to a great restaurant is of course the food, but the fact that we were served our food at the same time. Neither of us had to wait for the other to get something. Bravo! We will definitely come back next time in Miami.
While the food was good, the service was eoefully lacking. The server was chatting with a coworker until we reminded her we hadn’t ordered. It took an hour to get our entry’s snd there was only one other table occupied.
When we finally called the captain, things picked up.
The food was excellent but the overall experience was very disappointing.
I dined on a slow Sunday night with my parents. The service was phenomenal, but they were out of the dish that my parents ordered which was a slight inconvenience, but they were very accommodating and found something that my parents enjoyed a lot. All of the food was excellent (including the complimentary cheese, bruschetta, and spicy zucchini at the beginning).
So the food is amazing - among the best Italian you’ll find. Service is fair - server messed up drink order and desert order
We live in the neighborhood and always take notice of how empty this restaurant seems to always be.
Last night it was pretty busy and it’s obvious that they may not have been prepared. I’m still not sure who our server was.
We ordered our wine, which by the way, was the only good part of the experience. It took a while for someone to take our food order, we shared a grilled octopus, my husband had the lobster ravioli and I had the tuna carpaccio as my entree. None of it was good, food was lukewarm and not good tasting. The lobster ravioli had chunks of salmon on top, odd way to prepare this dish. We made a comment to the host, who was the one who brought the dish to the table and his comment was “more protein for you”.
Once the half eaten food was taken from the table, I told one of the three servers that it was my husbands bday.
No one came to ask if we wanted dessert, and once we finished our wine we asked for the bill and left.
Needless to say we will not be returning.
Horrible service. Very confused staff mid managed average fare
I did not receive the 100 points credit for our lunch on Sept 17th The food was very good and service excellent
It was very good, but I feel they cut back on some of the foods they provided before dinner . They used to have cut salami along with the Parmesan. It was still very good. They give you Parmesan cheese, fried zucchini, and bread before you order your meal.
We had an outstanding 7:00 PM Friday dinner in an almost empty restaurant (almost full when we left at 8:15). Excellent service, food, and ambiance. Appetizers, lentil soup, pasta, and veal entrees all excellent. Certainly, a top Miami Italian. Staff was outstanding.
Great food and very attentive service! Speed was perfect - never waited long or felt rushed in any way. Down side - $15 valet parking. Will reconsider returning based only on that.
Have been to NYC and Sunny Isles and been this was the first time at the SOBE location. Food was mediocre but what was good is the porcini rlmelushroon ravioli.
Great food, service, music, decor!
One of The best italians of All Miami .
Really Special food
Great appetizers, great service, atmosphere and dessert. Very small main course but may be because of Miami spice.
Not enough words to describe how awesome the food is!!
Nice place. Nice ambience. Bad food.
My wife had a Veal Milanese that looked and tasted as airplane microwave cooked food.
I had a Saltimboca and I still cannot define what it was nor how it tasted! Sorry guys, didn't like it at all.
I went with my girlfriend for a special dinner and to take advantage of Miami Spice. Sadly, we found out after we were served our bread that they do not do Miami Spice on the weekends. The manager at the time was helpful enough to allows us to order from the Miami Spice menu. Aside from going above the extra mile to allow us to order from that menu, the food was AMAZING. Much thanks to the team who made our night so special.
Great food and atmosphere. Service is amazing and they pay attention to detail.
Wonderful lunch spot. Great Miami spice menu. They start your meal off the correct way, with parmesian, bruschetti, bread and zuchnni chips.
If you think you are going to get IL MULINO 3rd St experience you are wrong
This is a total scam as they call it Il MULINO New York....very different from the original in NYC
Food doesn’t resemble any of the dishes you get in NYC, and the quality is well below you get there. I tried the traditional veal coteleta and I left almost all of it!
I have been a client of Il Mulino (3rd st) in NYC for over 20 years and the one in Miami is a very bad copy
Moreover it is an all white very cold decorated restaurant and it doesn’t look like a real trattoria, as the original Il Mulino is
Bottom line: don’t waste tour money as there are much better restaurants in the area
Great service and good food, but not worth the price tag
The service was not good and the food was poor ! I was dissapointed with the restaurant .
One of my favorites in MIAMI. Super clean and stylish ambiance.
Minable aucune saveur
Ne respecte pas Miami spice
Aucune classe pas comparable avec il mulino sunny isles que je recommande
Restaurant was dead and food was below mediocre
Always excellent, and Miami Spice makes it a great value!
Not the same quality as before and high prices
As some one that frequents good Italian eateries I definitely would express my disappointment in this experience. Food is very expensive and fell way short of expectations. Veal Chop Parm and Chicken Parm both were dry and greasy. Desert was also terrible.
Good but not too many people
So feel empty
First table for the evening, so staff service was good. Friendly staff, entrees very good but pricey, 49 to $60!! Special occasion destination, might have a more vibrant atmosphere later at night. Better than their NYC restaurants.
We had a wonderful dinner at Il Mulino, The service was great, the waitress was very knowledgeable on the menu and giving us suggestions. The food was amazing and very authentic.. The Branzino was delicious and the gnocchi was so yummy! Highly recommend eating here!
Elegant setting ,
Pretentious and expensive menu,
lousy and greasy food,
Unpleasant lady server,
Poor « by the glass » wine list
The veal dish was terrible, overcooked and dry. For the price you are paying it should be impeccable. With all the many good Italian restaurants in South Florida will probably not return
