We were a party of 3 on a Monday night. We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for our appetizers. I made the mistake of not asking the price of the specials. I ordered stuffed Zucchini flowers. The order came with two flowers and cost $29.00! They were in some kind of caper sauce that was not good and were heavily fried. My entree was the Chilean Sea Bass Special with figs. As soon as the waiter placed the plate in from of me it smelled very fishy. The fish was not good. I should have sent it back but didn't feel like waiting for another entree. The figs were unrecognizable and resembled stewed prunes from a can. I brought the fish home and fed it to my cat. My cat was meh about the $60 fish entree. My companions each ordered Rack of Lamb and said that they said was just ok. We were here to celebrate a birthday and didn't stay for dessert as everything up to that point was not enjoyable.
Extremely OVERATED Restaurant. Not worth the $$$$$ in any way shape or form.
If you're looking for the experience of Italy without the travel, this is the place. Everyone is over the top nice, they feed you before you even have a menu handed to you and everything is DELICIOUS!!
Cannot recommend it more!!
Service was first rate and food was delish! One of the best Pasta Bolognese I’ve had in a long time. The Dover sole was fresh and cooked to perfection
have not been back for few years, but it was worth the return. Excellent Italian cuisine, attentive waiters. Always good, original owner, Ferdinando would be proud
Always great food and great service. Always consistent! Rack of lamb is probably the best on LI and this il mulino in particular does it the best!
I have not visited this restaurant in years. What a disappointment. Is this what fine dining has evolved to in the post-COVID era?
Father’s Day dinner! It was delicious
Great Food, last night I had my favorite Prosciutto and Melon, and then tried the Lamb Chops, that were Superb!!
Best meal I ever had
Food was excellent! Unfortunately the service deteriorated throughout lunch and ended horribly! I would never eat at this location if the waiter was there. I have never met anyone more miserable in my life. Again, great restaurant and great food, need new wait staff.
The dining experience is exceptional.
Food & drink is top shelf.
We had fish and it was prepared perfectly.
The service is impeccable and the food is always delicious. Specials are very expensive though.
Sunday priced fixed dinner is truly a winner. Excellent food and service. Price excellent a real treat!
service was not up to the high standard which Il Mulino usually provides
First time there and it was fantastic, Great atmosphere. The food was delicious and staff very attentive. We will certainly be back
Excellent food and service! Will definitely come again.
Terrible service for the price, it’s a shame since the food is good here. They take their customers for granted
Perfect! Fantastic specials, great service
Fantastic restaurant. One of the best on Long Island.
Such great food and service. Sunday supper is a great value.
When my date asked for two minutes to consider the menu the maltreatment said no we have people waiting for your table. I’ve never heard that before.
I had been meaning to try this venue for years after hearing rave review about Il Mulino in the city. Yesterday evening turned out to be the perfect time to try it.
All I can say is I was extremely disappointed in everything I ate and the service for a place with its reputation was less than stellar. The server mixed up my wife's dish and my dish for each course that was served to us.
The bread crumbs on the baked clams were absolutely tasteless.
The Caesar salad was tiny and the dressing lacked flavor and the lettuce was not cold and crispy as it should be.
Last but not least is my favorite "go to" dish, Chicken Parm. This was the most surprising since it was absolutely terrible and I've had better at my corner pizza place. The cutlet itself was small and paper thin. The sauce and cheese completely lacked flavor and for the first time in 10 years I didn't finish my entree.
All in all this was a very disappointing experience and I do not recommend.
Great place for a date night .
First time there a s we it certainly won’t be the last. Food and service was very very good. House wine was excellent. Definitely will be returning.
Everything was so delicious. Service was on point, had such an enjoyable dinner experience. Will be back!
Fantastic food and excellent service. Prices are too high (4 small meatball app $20, Dover Sole $70!). Wine list is so expensive. Hard to find a great wine for under $200. Mostly a 300% mark up on the list. That's just unfair.
Service was poor, my daughter's entree order was incorrect, my entree as well as my son's was heavily salted to the point where it was almost inedible. Long wait times between completion of dinner and the appearance of wait staff to take coffee or desert requests.
I have been going to this establishment since it opened it's Roslyn location (and to the Manhattan location before that). I must say this was my worse experience, the food was not of the expected quality, the service was not of the usual attentive nature. All in all not worth the $600.00 tab for a dinner of four (without a bottle of wine). I don't think I will be returning anytime soon.
The problem is it too dark. The food is excellent
A truly wonderful meal, each of the three of us were very pleased with the quality and presentation of our food. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The lamb chops were the best I have eaten anywhere. I would suggest that a bottle of red wine be served slightly chilled (a little cooler an room temperature).
The food was still excellent. The service was meh. Not as good as its been in past. They seemed in a hurry to get us out. Also, for whatever reason, the waiters were counting cash at the table next to us and at least appeared to be discussing the tip. Don't really want to see that at those prices.
Outdoor tent dreary and dark. Had to request heater. Service not equal to indoor.
Very, very expensive.
Probably overrated and really expensive food. The food doesn't meet the prices.
I only eat at high end restaurants Like Kyma Toku 388 Willis Hendricks and Prime 1024 etc
I live in the neighborhood and this was the about the fourth time I've been to Il Mulino
since you opened so you can see I'm not a frequent flyer to your place.
Not sure when and if I will go back.
Sunday supper was delicious. The service was as excellent as the food.
Fantastic service, great food.
The last 2 times I was disappointing with the food. We always loved the food . Have been going for years . But not sure what happen the last 2 times , the food this time has no taste. Maybe they change the chef ?
Delicious food, Fantastic Meal
Didn't understand the hype. I have worked in the area for 5 years and only heard great things. Completely underwhelmed. Maybe we ordered wrong but the food was only okay but expensive. The room was very dim and the menus were printed in light gray making them hard to read. Portions were a decent size and the wine selection was fine. waiters were mostly attentive.
