The sauce on my lemon pasta was too creamy and didn't have much flavor. Ditto for the grilled veggie appetizer -- not very flavorful. Needed more seasoning.
Great food, great service - attentive but not over the top. I had a F2F client meeting with five people around a table - we were comfortable talking at a normal volume. In and out in 90 minutes. My clients were happy and well fed; a win all the way around.
I was disappointed when the check came. We both ordered "specials." I ordered a salad with sliced steak and my friend ordered Branzino. The check came to over $90.00. We drank tap water, no wine. Just one cup of coffee. Lesson learned. Ask for pricing when ordering menu specials.
Good Italian place; excellent bolognaise! decent value these days.
This restaurant has been our go-to on the west side for many years. If I'm meeting someone from around there or south of there, it is perfect because it is freeway close and there's usually plenty of street parking. The food is consistently excellent. Lately I'm recommending the grilled scallop and spinach salad. Pastas are excellent!
Great local place with excellent food, drink, wine and atmosphere.
I would have rated 5 stars if I did not feel the valet parking cost was too high. $12 for lunch is a bit much. The waiter recommended the fish but did not say the price. Turned out to be expensive for lunch but yummy. The service was good.
Solid business lunch spot with very attentive service and first rate (if not terribly creative) food.
Consistently good! The Biscotti are an excellent way to end the meal with a Cappuccino.
Meal was great. Service was great. Just didn’t like sitting with people in jeans and T-shirt’s wearing baseball caps
I’ll Moro went all out with an incredibly amazing dinner from start to finish. The service was on the spot and courteous not pushy and the choices for Valentines Day were creative with options for everyone.
Outstanding meal, lovely waitress. Excellent overall.
Fun for five girlfriends lunch, girls, being in our sixties!
Il Moro delivers time after time. There is never a drop in service, food taste, quality or ambiance. We took guests from Belgium, who are used to very fine dining, to dinner last week. They were blown away, with both menu and special items for the day. My favorite is the Puttanesca pasta. The Diavalo pizza was also terrific.
I ESPECIALLY LIKE IL MORO FOR DINNER
QUIETER THAN MOST RESTAURANTS - YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR YOUR COMPANION
FOOD QUITE GOOD
The entire experience was amazing! The food was beyond belief good! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable!
I love IL Moro! Food is always delicious, we’ll-prepared and great choices. I haven’t had a bad meal or experience there! It’s a lovely space, inside and out.
Very attentive waiter and food fine but find it pricey
Our go-to lunch or dinner spot whenever we're visiting Los Angeles. The food is always consistently delicious. The service is professional, attentive and friendly. We always look forward to dining there. They never disappoint.
Good food and nice decor. You are treated like family
Outstanding as always! Great food, great service, breads/crackers yummy. Outdoor dining under heat lamps in winter, a real treat. Parking next door, validated or valet, your choice. My FAVORITE place!!
I hadn't been here for a few years and it didn't disappoint. The Risotto with lamb ragu was amazing along with the carciofi salad. My friend and I shared both and left feeling very satisfied. Our server was wonderful and the day was lovely enough to sit out on the patio. The only negative is that $12.50 for valet parking is pretty steep and higher than most Beverly Hills restaurants.
Never disappointed food always top quality, great selection fine dining.
Our waiter was helpful, patient and informative. Never pushy - greatly appreciated!
We had a simple meal, and it was perfectly prepared.
Did not like the table offered & host was not willing to accommodate my request for a 4-top table when there were only 2 in my party- even though there was at least one other 4-top with 2 in the party - and the restaurant was almost empty.
Food was OK, service absolutely awful. One of those meals where you are constantly trying to find the waiter. And the cost is much higher than what was shown on OpenTable -- should be 4-5, not a 3.
I love this place and have had a wonderful experience every time I've gone there. On Saturday night I took a group of friends who had never been there. The food was wonderful as always, but the service was not. I am sure this was an anomaly, but our server was confused and unattentive. I will continue to go there, as I am sure this will not happen again.
Disappointing this time, we were there not long ago and it was very good. Portions were extremely small and overpriced
Excellent food and great service
The service is wonderful. The food delicious. I always enjoy dining here.
Il Moro is a lovely restaurant on the ground floor of an office building. Don't be dissuaded by that. We've had dinner there twice in the space of four weeks; we came back again because the food was that good. This time around, our party of three shared two salads (the Garga and the Capisante), both excellent. Our main courses: Tagliatelle al limone (delicious and very rich), the Fettucine alla Bolognese (hearty), and the huge-for-one-person Margherita Pizza; the pastas are mostly house-made. We then shared a superb Apple Tart for dessert. Our server, Alina, was attentive, personable and helpful. It is a "special occasion" restaurant, that is to say a tad pricey (unless you're a one-percenter), but it's a great place to have a quiet dinner with friends.
Terrific food, VERY quiet and comfortable, not crowded on a Saturday night. I haven't been here for years and it's wonderful to find that it;s as good as I remember.
This is the second time I've been to Il Moro. The ambiance is delightful (outdoor seating) and the wait staff is very nice, personable, and attentive. I ordered 1/2 rack of lamb which consisted of 3 of the tiniest ribs I've ever seen with hardly any meat on them. I also split a spinach salad with my husband and found it was very plain and not tasty. Our table also split the grilled veggie platter, and that was the best of everything we had!
All in all, the food was marginal and over-priced, but the service and setting were wonderful.
Service is on the slow side, food is amazing - been coming here for years -)
We have dined at Il Moro on several occasions. We tend to dine indoors, but they have ample seating outdoors under heat lamps. The servers were professional, personable and attentive, without being intrusive. The food is always excellent, sophisticated but not pretentious. Our party of six enjoyed the salad with scallops, the salmon ravioli entree, the special salmon entree, and the O'Malom thin crust pizza. Various desserts were also delicious. It is a fine choice for a "special occasion."
We love Il Moro!!! The outdoor space is beautiful, the food is authentic with the freshest ingredients and the staff is always kind.
What a delightful, relaxing dinner. The service is impeccable and the dishes are delicious. This is a beautiful restaurant which offers wonderful ambiance and and a variety of dished guaranteed to please any palate. If you want to be treated like the special person you aspire to be - -This is the place. It is also a wonderful choice for celebration of a special occasion.
Hadn't been to IIMoro in years, what a delight, had the Hawaiian Fresh grilled swordfish, unbelievable tenderness and flavor, grilled just the way I like it, everything was fabulous, freshest salads, Santa Barbara prawns superb, easy vibe a great spot. We sat outside, plenty of heaters and friendly intelligent servers.
Always a Pleasant experience.
