The chicken breast with balsamic glaze was good but I would not get it again. The item to order, which I’ll be back for, is the pizza with ricotta. Absolutely fabulous! Great service and they have valet.
I’ll Moro is very good it has always been good. Highly recommend I’ll Moro
Very consistent food and service. Always has good specials in addition to menu standards
Met a friend for an early lunch. Outdoor patio was slightly cool so we had it all to ourselves with a heater. Great food, great ambiance, great wait service are the reasons I try to lunch at Il Moro when I can. It was my guest's first time and she loved it.
Il Moro is bold enough to offer a Passover menu for those jewish enough to remember that it is passover but not too religious that they will eat in a non Kosher restaurant.
They offer matzo instead of bread and a three course meal which adheres to the the needs
of the kosher for passover inclined.
It is delicious and deeply appreciated
My favorite for years with great menu options and wine list!
It's an upscale Italian restaurant which, thankfully, is quiet enough to actually have a conversation. Food was very good, not superb, portions were a bit small. Service was very good. I would go back for the food and the quiet.
It’s wonderful to have a restaurant which is quiet, elegant and serves superb food, all at the same time. In this day of noisy trendy restaurants, I’ll Moro is an oasis in a sea of noise and cookie cutter “trendy” foods. I’ll Moro Doesn’t try to be trendy. It only serves exquisite cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere
Fantastic service! Pretty restaurant. Food good!
Fabulous food and amazing service.
Decor dated but didn’t matter as food was so good
Love this restaurant.
Authentic Italian - gourmet quality - a bit pricey, but worth it when the service is as good as the food....
We hadn't visited il Moro in two years. It hasn't changed---just as delicious and wonderful atmosphere as our last visits. The Italian food is so very Italian and delicious. The fish is out of this world--fresh and flaky. And the many "greens" on the menu is worth the visit. Beautiful wine list and lovely atmosphere to enjoy it all. And to top it off, our server was a very sweet Italian woman! Please go!!!
Il Moro never disappoints. It is consistently our go-to classic, authentic Italian restaurant, where the food is always delicious and the servers speak with an authentic Italian accent. It is a great respite for lunch - like getting away in the middle of your day. The outdoor patio is also a really nice environment.
Very few restaurants on the Westside combine elegant dining, superior food/service and a quiet atmosphere. Il Moro is one of those few places left. I love this place for a date as well as for being to hear what the persons at your table are saying without shouting. Classic Northern Italian cuisine done to perfection.
A good place to go if you want good food, service, a bar and indoor and outdoor dining. It also has a room for a private party. I like it because it is a place where you can have a quiet conversation with the person/persons with whom you are dining.
The restaurant is attractive and the service was excellent. We arrived early, before the crowd, and completed our meal as the restaurant got more crowded. At all times, the noise level was relatively low; we could hear ourselves talk, a plus.
The food was so-so. We split a thin crust pizza and, though thin crust is supposed to be crisp, this thin crust was soggy, as other reviewers have complained. We would not order it again.
We also had a tortellini soup. It was ok, but nothing to write home about.
In all, though the restaurant is situated conveniently to where we live, we would not be inclined to return. The food was ordinary, at best; the pizza was inferior.
Excellent service, great food, great atmosphere. Will certainly go again soon.
I made a reservation at il Moro for Valentine's Day to take my aunt and uncle out, this was a restaurant that they told me that they have enjoyed in the past. I should have realized something was amiss when we arrived at 6pm and the restaurant was almost empty. But it was last minute so we were seated in the dining room. Our server seemed not to have a clue, any question he was asked he had to go ask a manager.
I understood coming in that it was going to be a price fixed menu, but $85.00 for three courses and no beverages is a bit much (I am used to NY prices so I do have a point of reference) When my aunt asked for the fish choice to be prepared without sauce the waiter (after checking with the manager) told us that would not be possible, then when we ordered desert - which for some reason had to be done when we ordered at the same time we ordered our mal - I asked if the apple tart came with ice cream and (again after checking with his manager) we were informed that a scoop of ice cream would cost an addition $5.00.
No beverages were offered until desert and then we were charged extra for coffee.
BTW - the food was only mediocre
Valentine’s Day dinner service was ATROCIOUS and the food was mediocre at best. We got water then sat for 35 minutes waiting for our server to take our orders. Only after I complained to the hostess did the owner take over serving us. He did fine but once we got our entrees and he handed us off to the server, it was a repeat of the beginning of the night. Confused is how I’d described both the staff and the menu. Thumbs down!
Chef is marvelous and we enjoyed every bit of the experience on the busy Valentine evening.
The food is consistently good, and some dishes are quite original. Il Moro is very good for business lunches with orders taken quickly and food arriving soon thereafter. Most of the servers are real pros; apparent turnover among bus staff results in sometimes sketchy service at the low end.
Mediocre on all counts...
The branzino was FISHY and tiny.....which means poor quality.
Even the cocktails were lifeless!
Saved only by Erica the waitress!
Food, service and ambiance all excellent. Great for lunch or dinner
I was meeting someone for a business lunch. When I made my reservation online, I requested a quiet table with some privacy, and we were provided a table that met that description.
The food was excellent! I had the the rack of lamb, which was beyond delicious - Tender, juicy and perfectly done, with an excellent sauce. My companion had the tuna tartare, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
I had not been to il Moro for several years and am so glad to rediscover it. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service excellent and the food superb. I had out of town friends with me and was anxious to find a special experience for them and I did with il Moro. Looking forward to many more visits in the future.
The food was absolutely delicious. All of our friends at the dinner were very happy. We had an early dinner so the quiet and ability to talk was fabulous. Even as more diners came the noise level was not bad, and tables have adequate space between them.
It was much like lovely meals we had in Italy. A warm greeting, a personable and informed waitress, attention when we needed it and space to enjoy the meal.
This is a well run restaurant with ample food choices for everyone - -each out-of-this-world-delicious and served by a wonderful, well trained wait staff in a lovely atmoshpere. There is even an outdoor patio area which is perfect for lunch on a warm day and a aaprivate dining room for your special occasion.
Il Moro is truly a jewel and if you are looking for someplace really special - this is it. You will not be disappointed.
As usual, excellence across all lines -- service, food, wine, follow-up. My guest is gluten intolerant and our server was very helpful. Thanks!
A great place in WLA for business lunches or a nice dinner out w friends.
From the basket of varietal breads to the great menu choices, today’s lunch was a delight as usual!! Thx!!💋💕💋💕💋💕
Il Moro had really great Italian food. The pizza was great, the salads were really tasty, and the food was delicious. The service was also really great.
Enjoy eating at El Moro any time. Food and service is consistently good and atmosphere is very pleasant. We're lucky it's a local for us, so easy to get in the car and go.
Never disappointed - and I'm a tough customer! Love everything about dining at IlMoro. Thanks very much!
Rack of lamb looked beautiful but was not really tender or seasoned well. Salad was nice and fresh and unusual. Service was outstanding
So fortunate to be able to dine here! ❤♡♥♡💕😘 I LOVE IL MORO‼️‼️😘 💕♡♥♡❤
Really enjoy my lunches at IlMoro! It always feels very private whereever I sit and the food is amazing - thank you!👍🏽👍👍🏿
What a little gem, I didn't even know it was there. It's a little hard to find: the address is on Olympic but the entrance is on Purdue. Well worth it!
My go-to place for client lunches. Always excellent!!💕💜👏🏻
Come for the Food! Tortellini al Zucca is the amazing special seasonal pumpkin ravioli. Yummy!
