IL Mito Enoteca

We went for Father’s Day. With restaurants just opening up from the Covid shutdown, the interior restaurant was virtually empty. The staff is taking every precaution to be safe, so we felt very comfortable. The service and meal were excellent, as always!

Once again, everything was perfect! Food was delicious, service was excellent and atmosphere was wonderful! Thank you for a great anniversary dinner!!

The back patio is a lovely spot to dine alfresco, didn't even know it's been there the last four years! Calamari was wonderfully light and crispy, bolognese sauce with spaghetti and the chicken parmagano were so much better than anything we've had at other restaurants.

Everything was delicious, it was so nice to go out to dinner again. Actually, I think with the tables moved apart, the music could’ve been a little louder. Of course, I like to feel like I’m in a bustling place, which is hard to do with the social distancing.

Spectacular food and the service was amazing! This place never disappoints.

Our server was great. And very good at his job. I was not impressed with the food, though nothing was wrong or bad.

My wife and I met up with a friend. She asked me to pick a place, so I went on line and inquired about restaurants in the Wauwatosa area. I'm not particularly enthralled with chain restaurants, so when I came across IL Mito Enoteca in the ads and saw that chef Feker who we've seen on television a couple of times, owned and ran the establishment I knew I wanted to give it a try. I' always try to give independent establishments a chance and I'm glad I did. We had the seared salmon special and it was fantastic. We'll definitely go back for seconds.

A first visit for our party of three. We had a delicious meal. Great service by Luis. A nice, cozy restaurant to enjoy dinner and adult conversation.

Great food, so so service, asked for a table away from the door and we were seated right by the door. We were 20 min early too and could have waited.

We love everything about this place but they really have to install a weather front to keep the cold air out. Whenever we go there in the winter we have to keep our coats on.

Restaurant was busy for Valentine's Day dinners, so service was a bit slower than prior visits. Only one bartender so took a while for drinks. Also, we were seated close to door and the extremely cold air came in every time the door opened (a vestibule would take care of that issue). Food was FANTASTIC and restaurant ambiance was great! Friendly wait staff and overall, we enjoyed our visit.

The ambiance and quality of the food never disappoints at Il Mito. Luis and the staff are attentive and friendly.

Service was only fair . Long wait for our food. Even though I had told the staff we were there to celebrate a birthday, there was no recognition of it. Food was delicious.

We had the most amazing, wonderful meal! One person in our group had 7 food sensitivity foods she couldn't have and Chef Michael Feker made everything special for her - from the appetizer to her dessert so she could really enjoy her meal. It tasted amazing and made her feel so good that she could eat and enjoy. He was so well-versed that it seemed easy for him to accommodate everything she needed. Thank you so much!! This was an amazing evening. Everyone loved the food and service. We will be back very soon. The allergy-free/food sensitivities she had to avoid included: gluten, corn, soy, dairy, peanuts, egg, sugar and sugar substitutes. Truly! This was awesome!

Wonderful service and outstanding food and drinks. This was our second visit and the staff treated us like we come everyday. Very friendly and accommodating.

Il Mito continues to be an excellent dining choice with consistently good menu, service and ambience. Chef Feker has been a Milwaukee culinary master for many years and we are lucky to have his boundless energy, enthusiasm and creativity to enjoy and appreciate!

Value and quality for price was good. The music was way too loud and too energetic. The dim, intimate setting would be better served with music that is calmer, quieter, more classy.

Never disappointed, has become one of our favorite destinations in the area.

Very few Italian restaurants please us as much as Il Mito does. We do not hesitate to make it a Special Occasion destination. Cozy, well run, conscientious staff, and the food is exceptional. (Chef Fekker's family recipe Bolognese is to die for!)

Awesome lasagna but terrible pizza.
Meatball appetizer was fabulous but the Cesar salad dressing was overly lemony.
Service was good but tables were really close to each other.
The Italian Cosmo was also delicious. We will be back.

Cute little Italian place. Pasta was very good. Entrees were good but not fantastic.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always good. We had a great waiter, Luis, who made our experience even better!

We appreciate the friendly service. Lasagna was good, Caesar salad was good and the regular pizza was good. Unfortunately, this time the drinks were a disappointment. I did not get my martini the way I asked for it and 2 others at the table were not impressed with their cocktails either. My drink that was straight up came with so many ice chunks it was not enjoyable to drink. The gluten free pizza crust was not very tasty.

Excellent food and service. This restaurant is a favorite of mine to celebrate special occasions.

Had the pasta special which included several types of seafood! It was scrumptious!!!!

Always great food, service and atmosphere!

Our dinner was excellent as always. We love going to Il Mito however the noise is a bit much. Also, the tables are very, very close together and it was very hard for my husband to get comfortable.

We both had lamb shanks, done to PERFECTION!!!! Everytime we visit, we enjoy the fine dining!

Loved the relaxed feel of IL Mito - we will be returning. Our server - Chris - was excellent. We had
the salmon special - it was wonderful. Next time we want to try a pizza or some pasta.

Mushroom Tortellini with cream sauce was amazing!!!!

A delightful dining experience, as always! Luis was our server and he is simply awesome, attending to every detail with grace and a smile, and the food was divine. My husband and I both had specials (he the shrimp pasta and me the salmon with a modified side of parmesan polenta rather than the crab pilaf due to my shellfish allergy), and they were outstanding. Always a fun evening out there. Cheers!

Great place to dine. The food is consistently good. Our server was attentive and friendly.

Pumpkin ravioli was amazing, would go back just for this dish. My husband found the Bolognese a little too spicy, maybe from the Italian sausage. Sat near the door during cold weather, fairly drafty. Service was outstanding.

The combination of very good food and a great ambience make for a very enjoyable dining experience.

We have been enjoying this restaurant for many years and we've recommended it to several in our circle. Their dishes are the type that taste so wonderful that you have to share them. I would highly suggest making a reservation on Friday and Saturday.
