Our menu features authentic creations; farm to table produce; incorporating the fresh local seasonal produce, imported Italian cheeses, hand-cut meats and a variety of seafood accented with hand-made pasta.
Server was very slow... She took a long time to do everything.
She was mumbling so nobody could hear what she was saying.
It was my wedding rehearsal dinner but I regret choosing this place for it.
I had told them ahead of time that this would be a special dinner, but our seats weren’t even set up at the time of reservations, my dad had to tell them to.
I think it’d be ok for regular dining occasion.
But won’t recommend for a special occasion.
They will kill your timing, and the timing is EVERYTHING.
Had a very poor experience at this restaurant. The pasta was gummy and inedible and the Caesar salad was mediocre. The kitchen was very slow to deliver the food, we waited up to an hour for a salad, after all of the hot dishes were already served. The manager came to the table realizing there was a problem and at first seemed to question my dissatisfaction with the food and overall situation. In the end he took 20% off the bill which I thought was a paltry gesture given two at my table didn't eat at all and I didn't like and couldn't eat the majority of my dish.
Have been there twice before and was nice but was disappointed this time! Food was very ordinary and overpriced, meat overcooked, Gnocchi was reheated and not fresh and salads where very small and very expensive.
Normally it’s excellent. Must of been having an off night.
Especially tomahawk steak was excellent!
Service was very good!
We always enjoy the food. It was really good as usual, the only complaint garlic bread was a bit greasy. Our server was efficient BUT did not seem thrilled with her job.
One order came out wrong, one order over cooked. Waiter couldn’t be found for 10 mins. When we paid, waiter lost credit card. Another waiter found it after another 10 minute wait. Just poor experience all around.
Poor selection of food. Charged us for drinks that we did not even drink. Left after looking at the poor selection of food.
Great Food and service. Our waiter was on top of our every need. Food came out prompt, hot and yummy.
Too hot inside. AC is not working properly.
Discussing food, we sent it back
The waiter agreed it was very poor
Disaster do not go there !!!! Been coming here for years whilst holidaying and was always good. It is now a rolled gold tourist rip off . Food was absolutely aweful. Waiters arguing with kitchen staff , patrons sending back meals and arguing with staff. Waiters trying their best but the kitchen is a write off.
We have been to this restaurant multiple times before and had great food and service. This time was awful. We waited over an hour for our food. Our server was overworked and had no time for us. We ordered veil and lamb chops - both medium rare. They came out well done.
Happy hour is great! Love the pizza and gnocchi (sp?)
First of all I found this place and saw great reviews about it but then when I showed up the service was horrible and we waited an hour and 20 minutes just to get our food it took him like 20 minutes to give us our water in our bread to start out with as well as I got the filet mignon and the potatoes were harder than a rock I would deathly not recommend this place to anybody. On top of that I got charged $100 extra on my card
Been a repeat customer for approximately 10 years; we will not be back.
The restaurant was extremely uncomfortable and beyond hot. No need to pay a premium price for an sub-par dining experience.
Underwhelming and overpriced.
Cocktail was amateurish and overiced at $18. Ordered ahi carpaccio from specials menu and waiter dropped off seared ahi takaki instead, even while announcing it as carpaccio! There was no tataki on menu. He disappeared before I could send it back. I ate it. Nothing special at all. Veal chop was mediocre for the price. Bickering between waiters while getting plates from chef. Just bad vibes all around the kitchen. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
I'm a repeat guest. We weren't able to order appetizers from the prior menu as we arrived at 6:00. However, pizza arrived to other tables as late at 6:25. We asked for a wine menu and were told that they didn't have very many printed, could the waiter make a recommendation? As we were visiting Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar, we asked again for a wine list. After a few minutes, we were presented with one. We ordered an expensive barolo split. We weren't shown the bottle and the wine did not have time to breath. Very disappointing. It appears that a once-great restaurant is struggling to serve too many guests.
Our server had an attitude. Not attentive-maybe he had too many tables. Our food arrived and we were never offered salt and pepper or grated Parmesan. After dinner finished he just handed our bill. We were never offered desert or another wine
Having said that the place hums and is vibey
Would I return -probably but would not want that server
It was by far the worst experience in Hawaai, we ordered one plate (fillet and pasta) to our kids (the restaurant do not offer kids menu) to share. The server brings first the pasta and after 40 minutes, when we are finishing our dinner he cames with the fillet (it was very inopportune, but ok we decided to take the fillet to go).
When the bill arrived we were charged for two different (adults) plate ! Unbelievable!!! Never again when in Hawaai !!!!
Pasta was dry, service was super slow. We asked for water, it was served after more than 5mins. Constantly had to flag waiters for service.
Great food, excellent service! We had the caprese, shrimp and pasta, grilled octopus, garlic bread (with marinara for dipping) and THE Meatball. Everything was good — the meatball was the best meatball I’ve ever had.
Nice venue, high end, expensive.
The chef is from Rome and a perfectionist if not a little intense and loud — runs a tight ship but it distracts from the ambiance. Nothing some tall houseplants or rom divider can’t fix. Despite this, I would go back and recommend to friends but ask to sit away from the kitchen.
We really tried to love this restaurant as the setting is gorgeous, but on several different occasions there were major mishaps with our food. Cold gnocchi that looks like it was frozen and barely defrosted is just not acceptable. Nor is avocado toast with brown mashed avocado - probably because it sat out for half an hour before it was served. Our açai bowls were also melted on another occasion. And the Margherita pizza looked like a grocery bought frozen one that was also barely cooked. The wait staff were great and rectified the poor kitchen service on every occasion, but unfortunately we won’t be back. Sorry.
Over priced for the quality of food & the pasta Gamberi was over cooked too mushy. The pescatori not enough fish for the price. Garlic bread way over priced.
Very underwhelming from the service to the food. From the moment we arrived (had a reservation) we felt unwanted by the Hostess and staff. The restaurant was scarcely busy with plenty of tables to be had inside and out. We finally were seated at a nice table outside. Upon sitting down we were approached by our waiter who asked us if we preferred flat water or tap. We chose tap water and it was downhill from there. Upon the waiter returning with our water he asked if we would like to order. I said no we are still looking but we would like an appetizer. He was emphatic we order our entire meal. We asked for the appetizer only and he then took all the menus. I said no we still would like to look at the menu. It was almost like I had to pull the menus out of his hands. We received our appetizers and asked for our server to return to take our order. He finally returned and we ordered our food. The service didn’t get much better and the food was slightly warm when we received it. Nothing spectacular to write home about. Had the service been better from the start who knows what would have happened.
Very disappointed as I was expecting so much better.
Service was over the top.
Server Attila was great. The appetizers were amazing...mussels and octopus.
Impressive wine list with old world and new world to choose from.
Manager Hella checked us and made sure we were enjoying the dining experience
We keep coming back to this restaurant because it’s a complete package
Very average don’t bother
Two visits this vacation. Chefs specials were very good. Service friendly, overall a really nice time
What a great experience we had dining here! Just moved to Oahu from NYC and craving authentic Italian. The chef is from Rome so I decided to try it out.
We started with the caesar salad. If you’re expecting a traditional caesar you might be surprised, but we were not disappointed. The romaine lettuce is grilled. It was different than any caesar I’ve ever had before. The woman next to us didn’t “get”the grilled lettuce. I assume she doesn’t understand good food cuz we loved it.
For the main course I had the lamb.. omg-sooooo good! It was melt in your mouth amazing! It was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. I can hardly explain, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It was better than any steak house I’ve been to including Ruth’s Chris.
My friend had the pasta special with lobster. The server told us they make the pasta in house. Wow, no wonder it was so good.
Our server was friendly and attentive. An Italian restaurant with the Aloha spirit. This is the best. They made us feel at home, and the food was extra special. Couldn’t ask for anything better.
This place is upscale but not pretentious. I defiantly be a regular customer. I want to try everything on the menu. Must try their happy hour too.
Taste good !!
Should have a real Italian chef that can cook spagheti without sticking in a blob . The rest was decent.
