About il Giallo Osteria & Bar
il Giallo (pronounced il-JAH-lo) is a partnership between Chef Jamie Adams and Leonardo Moura and their goal is to transport you to a little piece of Italy.
While il Giallo means both “Yellow” and “Mystery” in Italian, yellow, the color of the yolk, the sun and the grains, it represents il Giallo’s wholesomeness; the ingredients used will be responsibly sourced, fresh and flavorful. Mystery represents the new, different and exciting flavors and aromas found throughout the constantly evolving il Giallo menu.
We strive to accurately represent the foods and flavors found in the towns and villages along Italy’s Coastal regions, the freshest imaginable hand-made pastas found in the mountains and plains and lest we for forget, the bounty of cured meats, cheeses and olive oils from north to south.
We want to become an extension of your home by providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere where you will want to spend time with friends and family.

il Giallo Osteria & Bar Ratings and Reviews
We had an ok experience. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs and the spaghetti and sauce was bland and not fresh although the meatballs were good. The service was great. Everything was ok but now super fantastic. For a place that makes its own pasta, the selection was limited.
We met two friends for dinner both of whom had previously been to il Giallo. Atmosphere was pleasant and relatively quiet, server was attentive and Sharon from the bar suggested a delightful red wine to accompany dinner. We greatly enjoyed our experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the restaurant.
We loved everything about this place. We were sad to hear that Veni-Vidi-Vici had closed several years ago and excited to find that this place was opened by the same chef etc..
I highly recommend the Octopus and Meatball appetizers. I could have just eaten two orders of those!!
This was our second trip to il Giallo, and it did not disappoint. In fact, I think we liked it even better on our second visit. Food and service are both great - I think they have the best octopus app in all of Atlanta. Also love he open kitchen, and was intrigued with watching them make their own pasta. We will definitely dine here again!
Some of the best Italian food in Atlanta from the former chef at Veni, Vidi, Vici. The house made pastas are to die for. The roasted bronzino my wife and I shared was simply but wonderfully prepared. The wine list offers some excellent values. And the service is friendly and knowledgable.
They make it so personal. We can't say enough about the food and the service as it is always awesome. We love the new dishes available that Chef Jamie comes up with. He never disappoints. All the employees make it very personal, by either knowing your name and what drink you like if you come here a lot, like we do, but especially coming by to make sure we are taken care of. They make you feel special and that is one thing that keeps us coming back again and again.
We dined with close friends on Saturday night and have enjoyed il Giallo on several occasions - and it always exceeds expectations. The pasta was fabulous and the appetizers and main courses were exceptional. Jamie, Leo and team always make us feel very welcome and appreciated and we could not have had a more enjoyable evening.
We had an outstanding meal for our anniversary. We split the grilled octopus and I had their Caesar salad with white anchovies. For our main entrees I had the veal chop parmegiana and my wife had the lasagna with braised short ribs. Both dishes were excellent and we plan to return soon.
We were celebrating two birthdays. The table was perfect for the five of us in a round. Food was served at the correct timing. We asked for a suggestion of wine with our meal and their sommelier was right on. The wine was superb with our pasta. What a surprise to have a little sweet dessert to celebrate the birthdays. Never had a bad drink, meal or service at this awesome restaurant. You should give them a try if you have not been there. Make a reservation or come early for a place at the bar. Oh yes, the bartenders are so friendly and make the best drinks.
Had dinner with my girlfriend and two friends. Our experience was not up to previous visits. My glass of wine was served with sediments(last pour of bottle?). My order of pasta was over cooked. My girlfriend and friend had fish which was good not outstanding. My other friend had the pappardelle which was excellent. Desserts were good. Service was excellent. When I go to what I consider to be an upscale restaurant I expect outstanding food and anything else is disappointing.
This restaurant is located in a strip mall. It has attractive decor. We did not have to wait for our reservation. Our server , Allie was pleasant. Dishes ordered were beet salad, Caesar salad, butternut ravioli , black grouper & a side eggplant dish. All food was delicious . We were too full for dessert. I would recommend this restaurant.
