il Giallo Osteria & Bar
While il Giallo means both “Yellow” and “Mystery” in Italian, yellow, the color of the yolk, the sun and the grains, it represents il Giallo’s wholesomeness; the ingredients used will be responsibly sourced, fresh and flavorful. Mystery represents the new, different and exciting flavors and aromas found throughout the constantly evolving il Giallo menu.
We strive to accurately represent the foods and flavors found in the towns and villages along Italy’s Coastal regions, the freshest imaginable hand-made pastas found in the mountains and plains and lest we for forget, the bounty of cured meats, cheeses and olive oils from north to south.
We want to become an extension of your home by providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere where you will want to spend time with friends and family.

What a delicious and delightful dinner! Our waiter was personable, attentive and very pleasant. The calamari light and fresh and our dinners cooked to perfection!
In my opinion the restaurant has gotten way too expensive.
31.00 for veal and NO side dish of any sort. $8.00 for a 1/2 dish of plain pasta. And $2.00 for bread
You have nickel’ed and dime’ed me out of your restaurant
Average spot. My friend sent her octupus back - at least they did remove it from the check. Cauliflower average, should have been roasted/crispy not mushy. Waitress had no idea about any of the wines or how to serve them (you don't fill a processo glass up to the brim- I spilled all over myself trying to drink it).
Fabulous meal. The service was impeccable. Food was creative and tasty. Highly recommend.
4 diners were all extremely pleased. Two had veal parmesan which was Fabulous! Huge portion! One salmon, one pappardelle bolognese also scrumptious with enough for a second meal. Focaccia bread was Devine as were the salads. Perfect evening out.
Jim was our server and he did an excellent job of being knowledgeable, attentive and efficient.
Pam was terrific, great service
Food was okay, not spectacular. Service was below average especially given price of food. Better Italian food choices in the Atlanta area for the money.
The food was delicious and the service and atmosphere were wonderful. We will definitely return!
First time experience, everything was excellent. Shout to the server, Virginia!!
Delicious as usual! Perfect service and nice wine list.
Every meal, every time, is deliciously prepared & has never been anything but delectable! We love this place! The only thing I think would make it better is daily specials , like ½ price wine night, ½ price appetizers, or such as that that some other restaurants do. Those places are trying to typically drum up business for typically slow nights. I doubt this restaurant has slow nights that they need to drum up business for.
This is our second visit to Il Giallo in the past 30 days. The consistency of the food is excellent. We enjoy dining in their out door area where it is very quiet and you can have good conversations with your guests. The veal and chicken farm can't be beat. The calamari starter is one of the best in Atlanta.
Great service, great food and atmosphere
Excellent food. The salad, bread, pasta and meats are all from scratch and good!
Il Giallo is a fine Italian Osteria & Bar. Good service and excellent meals.
Our food was outstanding. The service was fantastic so it made for a wonderful evening
The food was exceptional from the quality to taste to presentation. TOP-NOTCH and unbelievably the BEST Italian cuisine in Atlanta! A hidden gem in Sandy Springs. A MUST visit for any food enthusiast that truly appreciates Italian cuisine. The culinary genius of master chef/owner, Jamie Adams, will blow you away. His expertise and knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine is commendable. Chef Jamie is able to transport you to Italy and its generational saga of homemade recipes. I should also emphasize that all ingredients are of the highest standard. There is no room for substitution or trade-off when it comes to premium ingredients. Every recipe and dish are prepared from scratch. One can certainly appreciate the homemade pastas and the savory and delectable sauces that accompany every appetizer and entree.
This review would not be complete without the mention of Leonardo and Antoinette Moura, co-owners and hosts of Il Giallo. Their multiple years of experience in the food industry and know-how as restaurateurs is apparent. Their dedication to create the perfect culinary experience has always been their passion; awesome food, flawless execution, hospitable atmosphere, excellent service, and an empowered staff is what it takes. Every visit to Il Giallo has proven to be an impressive and outstanding one. I am confident that you will leave Il Giallo with a sense of euphoria and delight.
Excellent experience. Pamela, our server, was delightful, helpful and so knowledgeable.
Virginia (waitress) was wonderful.
Nicole was our server she was amazing! We can’t wait to go back and sit with her again!
We ate outside so we can't really relate to the noise level.
We were here Friday night, seated immediately and enjoyed excellent food and service!
The food was outstanding. Freshly made pasta, perfect focaccia. Delicious!
I Enjoyed the staff just as much as I enjoyed the food.
It was GNO and most of us had never been to this restaurant! Wow so glad we gave it a try; it was fantastic! Our waitress, Nicole, was fabulous and gave some really great suggestions. Everything from the wine, appetizers, entrees, to dessert was outstanding. We will all be back for sure!
We were there to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Our waitress, Nicole, was awesome. This is a beautiful restaurant and the food was amazing. My date had swordfish and he said it was very dry and tasted as if it were frozen. My dad had the chicken Parm which was very tasty and juicy. My mom and I both had the fillet mignon which was fantastic. Next time no duck fat. My parents decided to split the salad special and so did my date and I. However, I was charged for four salads even though we only received two. Next time look at your bill carefully and don’t rush! I was disappointed that the croissant bread pudding was not available on the menu even though it was listed on the menu online. But overall, it was a delightful dining experience and will be back. Thank you for making the special anniversary treat for my parents.
Outstanding return to in-the-house dining after over a year with dozens of great curbside meals from il Giallo!
2 thumbs up. A perfect way to get back out after pandemic-time at home. We sat outside in covered area. It wasn't too hot and provided just enough protection from the elements. The food and service was outstanding. I can't wait to return for indoor dining too.
4 of us sat in the outside dining area which was very nice and quiet,Our server Shandence was very attentive. The veal parm was as good as ever and the same with the chicken parm.
Service was poor. Had to constantly ask how long it will take for our food to come out. People that came in after us got their meals before us. Terrible experience.
Everything was solid.
We had a hard time deciding whose was the champion order - all 4 were outstanding. Maybe the duck agnolotti was the winner. Our waitress Samantha was the GOAT of servers.
Fantastic choice for an evening with a good friend. Were were able to talk without feeling like we were shouting, we shared an appetizer and our meals. Well worth it. Look forward to visiting again soon.
Absolutely best place to eat in Sandy Springs! And Sharon at the bar is fabulous!
Good food. Accommodating wait staff. Surprisingly small wine pours.
Very small table for dining. 6 adults. Service average. Food good overall good. Not spectacular. Prices are high since everything ala carte
Always good food-service was lacking and inexperienced
We understand the current labor situation in the restaurant business. Our server was very good. We waited nearly 45 min for a Cesar Salad and Proscuitto to arrive. Then another 30 min for spaghetti and meat balls and bolognese to be delivered by a sulky hostess who cared not. She didn't have the concern for her customers that the average server in a hash house has. Moreover, the next table over arrived 15 min after us, were served, paid their check, and left before we had finsihed our main course. The was an unknown experience for us at iL Giallo. How four, simple, standard dishes could take so long to be delivered baffles us. Even so, the only real complaint we have is about the dismissive hostess.
