il Giallo Osteria & Bar
While il Giallo means both “Yellow” and “Mystery” in Italian, yellow, the color of the yolk, the sun and the grains, it represents il Giallo’s wholesomeness; the ingredients used will be responsibly sourced, fresh and flavorful. Mystery represents the new, different and exciting flavors and aromas found throughout the constantly evolving il Giallo menu.
We strive to accurately represent the foods and flavors found in the towns and villages along Italy’s Coastal regions, the freshest imaginable hand-made pastas found in the mountains and plains and lest we for forget, the bounty of cured meats, cheeses and olive oils from north to south.
We want to become an extension of your home by providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere where you will want to spend time with friends and family.

I was uncomfortable that nearly all of the staff was not wearing a mask. We would have left if we had realized that before we were seated. We’ll probably continue dining out at other restaurants where they do, and go back to take out from il giallo until we are more comfortable being in public without a mask.
This is an excellent Italian dining experience. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a top quality dining experience in a clean and inviting atmosphere.
Pasta was very oily and a pear salad was ordered but when other salad came out that salad didn’t. When waiter arrived he said they were out of pears. That was 20 minutes after we ordered.
One of our favorites. Without doubt one of the best restaurants in Sandy Springs if not all of Metro Atlanta. Great staff, the service is fantastic, the food is amazing. We are never disappointed.
We celebrated my wife's birthday with the kids.
The atmosphere was great and the food was absolutely delicious!
Great place in overall.
Ravioli special was outstanding and our server Pam was terrific
My salmon was excellent and no one can beat their marinara sauce.
Il Giallo service and food never disappoint. Love that they are so consistent.
Food was delicious - appetizers, main courses, cocktails, dessert. Service was great. We will definitely go back!
We have been to il Giallo many times, as as usual, the food was very good. Despite not being crowded the service was very slow and we twice had to go find our server to ask for something.
This was the first time out for dinner with my husband who has Alzheimer’s. We had a private room and everything was en pointe. Service was amazing!
The food was outstanding. We had grilled octopus for an appetizer which was outstanding; the ceasar salads were exceptional, the best cs in the city; the chicken parm was also delicious. The immediate problem was that the service was slow because the kitchen was slammed. We were there on a Saturday night and with people starting to dine out again I got the impression that the place was short staff. I didn't mind as it was good to see friends and dine again but we did find ourselves waiting either for wine or appetizers or bread.
Yet I'd return in a second for another meal, as the food was delicious.
While the food was good, the service was not. Took us over three hours to get through dinner. Waited a long time for our entrees to arrive and to order dessert (we had 2 birthdays in our party) and getting our correct check was near impossible. Not sure if it was our waitperson, the kitchen, or all of the above. Despite the good food, not sure I would recommend.
Wonderful dinner at Il Giallo for two couples. Started with delicious cocktails from the bar (Sharron is the greatest bartender!) We enjoyed grilled octopus and baked focaccia bread with olive oil and balsamic - sooooooo good! We opted for veal parmigiana (x2), gorgonzola gnocchi and Frutti Di Mare with squid ink pasta. Everything was cooked perfectly. Generous portions too. Leo suggested a great wine to pair with our meal. Pam (aka Pamcake) was our server and she was very attentive while also being engaging and delightful. After dinner a quick trip to the bar for a final drink with Sharron and a perfect evening was complete.
We had a great experience at il Giallo Osteria & Bar. The environment was beautiful and service was great!
Excellent in every way! Our server was Serena...did a fantastic job and did not even “roll her eyes” when I asked her to box up our small leftover appetizer olives. I had the branzino and my husband had the special mahi mahi...arrived HOT and cooked to perfection...both meals. Biggest regret is that we had not tried this restaurant sooner. We’ll be back! P.S. The focaccia is SO good.
Great Dining Experience! Food was great and Cole provided exceptional service!
Food was awesome! And so was the service
Excellent food with wide menu variety. Service impeccable.
This was my second and last time dining at Il Giallo. Terrible service.
Great food! Great service! We will be back!
The restaurant was full and was extraordinarily noisy...couldn’t hold a conversation at our table,
The server and the service was sub par. Weren’t asked about additional drinks, etc. Our appetizers nor dinners didn’t arrive at the same time.for all four of us.
The presentation, when our orders did arrive at our table, as usual, was outstanding.
The food, though, was a disappointment... The chicken parm was greasy and overcooked and the other dishes were just average. This is well below Jamie Adams’ high standards.
Need to go back to original menu selection when first opened. Enjoyed then and kept coming back until changed. Gave it another chance recently and still not as good as original. Prosecco should be served in as champagne flute not glass with very wide opening. Lasagna was very disappointing. Meat covered with one layer of pasta and cheese. Wasn’t deconstructed, it was a mess. Will not return. Sorry.
Always good food! Often find myself thinking I could go back the next day after because the food is so good
Great place for Sunday brunch. A limited brunch selection but full menu. Really enjoyed the chef's brunch creations as well as a few items off the regular menu.
Service was excellent & the food was great . Our waitress gave us plenty of time to order & allowed us plenty of time to visit , relax & enjoy the overall experience- we were not rushed on a busy Saturday night & it was greatly appreciated . Plan on eating there again & will recommend it to friends.
What a fabulous dinner! Excellent food, amazing service by Emily...and a private room for the four of us because no outdoor tables were available at the time we requested - and our friends go there often! We will most definitely go back!!
Delicious food, great service and atmosphere!
Birthday- dessert was wonderful; meal was so so.
The food is outstanding and our Server, Cole, is exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, and provided us with great suggestions for our meal and our wine. We’ll be back soon. There are several dishes on the menu, that we want to try, calling us back.
Very nice experience. Food was delicious.
This was our first time at il Giallo Osteria & Bar. Just outstanding. Our Server (Cole) was knowledgeable and efficient at his duties without being obtrusive. Food was great--so many dishes I want to come back and try out. Generous portions and tasted just as great at home. Do not miss this little gem tucked away in a Sandy Springs shopping center.
We dined al fresco on this beautiful Saturday evening. The service was wonderful, as was the food! I enjoyed the rabbit gnocchi feature and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks Il Giallo!
Always a wonderful experience. Great food and excellent service.
Great food and wonderful service and outdoor safe dinner. Definitely be back!!
My wife and I had the Bronzino and the Calamari with a Caesar Salad it could not have been a more perfect meal the Belle Glos Pinot wasn't bad either!
Our server Emily was vivacious and took good care of us. Excellent cocktails—a cosmo and a martini—and the octopus was wonderful, meaty and not tough with a garlicky potato mash. The roasted Brussels sprouts and broccoli were also beautifully done.
We chose to eat outside and we were the only ones outside at the time. The food was great. We got the spaghetti and tortelli. The service was good and we were not forgotten about being the only table outside.
Service was extremely slow. This could be due to the restaurant being full.
Excellent restaurant! Great dining experience. Always wonderful service. Fresh pasta dishes are amazing. Love the atmosphere.
Food was good but the service was awful. Servers keep bringing us other people’s food, ordered olives in a drink and got onions, salmon ordered well done and was clear in the middle when presented, longggggg wait before we got our second drink or our food after we ordered. Once the food showed up and was cooked to order, it was good but we brought friends who are used to “club” service and that was nonexistent last night. I’m really disappointed. Especially since this was one of our first ventures out and our first time back in fifteen months. Might be a while again.
