il Giallo Osteria & Bar
While il Giallo means both “Yellow” and “Mystery” in Italian, yellow, the color of the yolk, the sun and the grains, it represents il Giallo’s wholesomeness; the ingredients used will be responsibly sourced, fresh and flavorful. Mystery represents the new, different and exciting flavors and aromas found throughout the constantly evolving il Giallo menu.
We strive to accurately represent the foods and flavors found in the towns and villages along Italy’s Coastal regions, the freshest imaginable hand-made pastas found in the mountains and plains and lest we for forget, the bounty of cured meats, cheeses and olive oils from north to south.
We want to become an extension of your home by providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere where you will want to spend time with friends and family.

Great restaurant. Excellent service and food was really good. It will definitely come back
Great food and Service. Enjoy sitting in the bar area.
My friends and I had a blast and the service and food were amazing. I made reservations in September for a regular dinner I have with friends to celebrate life.
I talked with the manager a couple of hours before we arrived to make sure that everything was straight for us and he offered to put us in a private room due to the circumstances of our dinner. That was so thoughtful of him.
We were able to have a great time, conversation, and laughs. My salmon entree was perfect and flavorful. We will definitely be back. Our waitress was very attentive, answered all of our questions, and made great suggestions on the wine list.
Our dining expereience was an excellent one!! Branzine with eggplant is a fantastice dish. Ambience and service were both fine dining quality. I highly recommend il Giallo. We have eaten there several times and will be back!
Very expensive for very little. Scallop appetizer is one scallop cut crosswise into three slices. Main course, chicken parm in my case, was a large piece of breaded chicken breast with cheese on it with almost no sauce. The chicken was overcooked and very greasy. Since the main course comes with no sides we asked for a side dish of pasta. Small dish with a little sauce is what we were served. Turns out that bread and dish of pasta costs extra. Could have had another entree for what they charged. Very limited menu, never heard of an Italian restaurant not having manicotti or sausage on the menu.
Outstanding as always. One of the best and happy it is in our neighborhood. Take out has been a favorite during this cursed year.
Everything was great! Food, drinks, waiter all were great!
Excellent service fantastic food very generous portions I would recommend highly
The experience was amazing! This was truly a unique restaurant with delicious food! Since the moment we got there, they were not only attentive, but they also went out of their way to make my mother- in-law feel special on her birthday. We will definitely be back.
Everything was amazing. Food was DELICIOUS. We sat outside and the atmosphere and weather was perfect. Service could not be faulted. We were offered some Pistachio ice cream after dinner as our daughter said she had the very best in Italy. Truly, the ice cream was comparable to the best she had ever had. will be back soon. VERY covid safe.
Another great meal. Best pasta in Atlanta.
Wonderful service. Scallop special was delicious.
Birthday date night with my wife.
Sat outside on a beautiful autumn evening. The service was excellent. The maitre d' greeted us and let us pick a table. The waitress was attentive but not pushy. We ordered the wine first, followed by the appetizer, then salad and entrees. The salad was brought out well ahead of the entree. The food was excellent and the portions good. The focaccia bread is to die for.
The owner made the rounds talking to guests. It was a quiet, romantic 2 hours in the middle of Sandy Springs.
Our favorite Italian restaurant by far!! We sat outside and had our usual waitress Virginia. The three of us all enjoyed our meal, food was great as usual, never disappoints!! Can’t wait to return!!
Btw, what we ordered was: cauliflower for appetizer, a chicken Marsala, veal parmigiana, scallops, and a basil four cheese fettuccine pasta that we shared. We were celebrating a birthday so we got 1 scoop of chocolate chip gelato which came with a biscotti cookie, and one of their newer desserts which I forgot what it was called at the moment but was good nevertheless. We did leave with leftovers, which is good to enjoy again another evening. All in all dinner was great as always.
Very accommodating servers, ambience ok.....possibly that could be improved
Wonderful waitress - knew the menu perfectly - timely service - delicious food
The food and service is always excellent. They owners are very attentive to the customers and their preferences. The ambience is good. The bar is always fun also. It's a good neighborhood restaurant.
Hi , I like your food, But when I asked the price for Veal Picatta, it was $38.00.,,so I enjoyed the chicken picatta instead.
The last two times i visited I asked about the small wine pours. The first time the manager brought me additional wine and I was happy. I only expect 5 0zs.
Saturday when I inquired about the pour, a gentlemen came by and poured in a spoon full
more and did not seem to be concerned about my inquiry.
If five ounces is not the correct amount, let me know.
great experience. I would rather them not charge for bread though.
One of our favorite places to dine. Food is consistently fantastic! Service great! Server recommended a phenomenal red wine that I had never tried before. Good portions.
Food and seating was fine, for 2 of 3. Both fish were excellent, but pasta dinner was poor.
Service was slow as crowd was overwhelming and very much dressed fora baseball game and they were mostly older who should have known better.
I will come back again but not on Friday
The best pasta we have had in a very long time. Maybe the best ever? Crazy Lasagna was crazy good! The Agnolotti is superb. Even their homemade bread was outstanding. Can’t wait to return with friends!
Love this restaurant, always delicious food.
LOVED the restaurant, We've been planning to go there for a long time and finally made it :-)
Our server was amazing and welcoming. She accommodated ALL kids' requests.
The food was SOOOO yummy, and came out quickly (but not too quick :-))
We felt safe with the precautions they took and had a great experience overall!!!!
Wonderful service and food that never disappoints! Wish you had a location in Marietta!
Simply sublime food and attentive and welcoming service. We sat outside at their outdoor, socially distanced tables and felt safe and secure. I had the fish special and it was divine. How nice to have your dinner served piping hot straight from the kitchen - something you just do not get with delivery. We will definitely return soon!
pasta dishes were disappointing , veal parm was outstanding, priced a little high for a single item. Our waitress was fabulous , management not so much.
IL Giallo is always good. We hadn't been back since the pandemic.
The tables were safely distanced and serving staff was wearing masks.
We felt comfortable.
The menu was a bit more limited but we enjoyed the caesar salad and the chicken parm for sure! Our friend loved her salmon, too. The calamari was a bit disappointing and the chickpea pasta dish were underwhelming. I should have picked another pasta but as a vegetarian there weren't many options. The highlight of the dinner was they chocolate torte. That dessert was amazing. The server seemed new, but was attentive.
We enjoyed our dinner. We'll return and ask a few more questions before ordering.
Wonderful experience again! Impeccable service and the food divine. The calamari was ever so lightly battered and fried to perfection; buttery and not chewy. Agnolotti was generously stuffed with the duck and in a beautiful butter sauce. The pecans are a perfect addition. Only complaint, if you will, is the arugula salad was way to over dressed. The candied walnuts, b golden and red beets and shaved parmesan were over shadowed by the drenching in dressing.
Great food and out waitress kept on mask and/ or 6 ft distance !
My Husband had the braised rib lasagna and really enjoyed stepping out side the typical lasagna.
Il Giallo serves the best Italian dishes in the Atlanta area. Prices are reasonable and
portions are huge. Easy to find and lots of parking.
The atmosphere was great. They are doing an excellent job with social distancing. The food was AMAZING!!! The chef created a dish for me to meet my dietary needs. My friend had the signature "lasagna" which he said was excellent. It is not the traditional and was glad the waitress described it before he ordered.
Looking forward to returning.
A true gem! Amazing food, service and atmosphere.
Good to see the restaurant doing so well. Could have used a few more staff as our server was running ragged.
Everything was fine until I notice two fruit flies in the bottom of my bourbon glass. The manager was slow to even come and speak with us and he did not try to fix the situation by offering something free! Very sad. Not sure what if as wrong but that is not how you handle new customers during a pandemic.
Serena was a great server - friendly and professional! Food was delicious and we were super comfortable and happy sitting outside.
TREMENDOUS Italian fare, great menu and service! We will be back time and time again!!
We have been many times and always enjoy the entire experience. The food is delicious. Our favorite is the lasagna, which is not the traditional type. Wait staff is professional and very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended this restaurant!
We had an excellent experience all said and done. Our server, Cole, was truly amazing. He was very knowledgeable about everything from the restaurant in general, the wine and bourbon we were interested in, and making menu recommendations.
The food was delicious and our cocktails were delightful. We enjoyed everything and will dine with you again and bring friends!
