Constructed in 1728 and beautifully restored, this quaint Hudson Valley farmhouse is family owned and operated. Located just 30 minutes from Manhattan and moments from Bergen County and Westchester, this historic Rockland County restaurant is home to freshly prepared Italian fare. The space boasts six intimate candlelit dining areas as well as serene seasonal outdoor dining. The Sage, Savory, Sassafras and Saffron Rooms are all unique in their own way. Private party facilities
This restored 1728 historic farmhouse, adorned with candles and warmed by antique fireplaces, is home to several quaint rooms serving freshly prepared Italian fare. These rooms can be used either separately or in unison to host your event from 12 to 110 guests. Our stone Wine Cellar is open during those cold Northeast winter months near one of our fireplaces. During the summer, our Meadowlace Terrace opens to allow our guests to enjoy the good life under the sun, the moon and the stars. Since our inception in March of 2001, we have prided ourselves in creating food that is fresh, always giving great care in the selection of ingredients used to prepare these items. We are available to cater your next special event, day or evening, intimate or large. My family and I welcome all those that wish to dine in what we consider our home.

Valentine’s Day was the second time my fiancé and I went there. The first time was for our anniversary back in December. Knew about it for years but had never gone before but that’s why we went two times that close together. It was that amazing and did not disappoint!! Absolutely loved it both times!!

It was perfect from start to finish! This was our first time dining here. I requested a table in the wine cellar and we were seated in this very special room complete with fireplace and only 4 tables. The service was pleasant and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious and excellent value for money spent. When I made the reservation I had mentioned that we were celebrating a big birthday. When we ordered dessert...Italian biscotti which came with a dish of amaretto to dunk the cookies in...they wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate on the dish. Very nice gesture. As mentioned it was our first time here but it definitely won’t be our last.

Rocklanders and others, no need to take a trip into New York City when you have Il Fresco's. The beautiful old stone house, built in the early 1700's welcomes you to a fabulous dining experience. The food, prepared exquisitely with the freshest ingredients is a present for your palate. I've enjoyed this restaurant in the past and will be a returning customer for as long as the restaurant is there.

Very disappointed with our dining experience Valentines Day. Table was made for second floor not by request but all they said was available. Very cozy and food was very good, but I think they forget about you up there. A waiter took our drink order right away and then we had to hunt him down to order. I asked for cheese for my soup, no one came. Finally I asked a busboy to bring it as the soup was getting cold. No one came to ask how dinner the way I was missing a water refilled and at the end of the night we had to walk downstairs to find a waiter to pay our bill. We decided not to have coffee or dessert. My advice is not to make a reservation on the second floor as they will forget about you up there. I think these waiters need to get a little more polished.

I have frequented this restaurant over the years. Always had a good meal. But last week I ordered one of the specials of the night and was very disappointed. Tortellini with chicken sausage it came with 4 little tortellini and reg chopped up chicken not chicken sausage swimming in tomato sauce. My friend ordered a pasta dish which also came out with way too much sauce. I can’t say I won’t go back but when I do I’ll ask exactly what I’m getting and say easy on the sauce 😱
