Constructed in 1728 and beautifully restored, this quaint Hudson Valley farmhouse is family owned and operated. Located just 30 minutes from Manhattan and moments from Bergen County and Westchester, this historic Rockland County restaurant is home to freshly prepared Italian fare. The space boasts six intimate candlelit dining areas as well as serene seasonal outdoor dining. The Sage, Savory, Sassafras and Saffron Rooms are all unique in their own way. The antique stone Wine Cellar is perfect for a romantic dining experience near one of our fireplaces. Il Fresco's menu is all prepared fresh when ordered. The wine list features Italian and American selections carefully selected to reflect the wide range of flavors offered from its kitchen. The Sorrel Bar is a festive dining space where you can get a firsthand look at our bartenders preparing our 10 ounce martinis. The restaurant is multi leveled, so if there are issues with stairs please let us know in advance.

I have frequented this restaurant over the years. Always had a good meal. But last week I ordered one of the specials of the night and was very disappointed. Tortellini with chicken sausage it came with 4 little tortellini and reg chopped up chicken not chicken sausage swimming in tomato sauce. My friend ordered a pasta dish which also came out with way too much sauce. I can’t say I won’t go back but when I do I’ll ask exactly what I’m getting and say easy on the sauce 😱

Food as always delicious. My only complaint is that without a reservation it is almost impossible to get a table before 9. Great food friendly staff.

This is probably one of the best restaurants I've ever dined at and I have nothing but good things to say. The staff is extremely friendly, and the ambiance of the restaurant just puts you in a good mood. The food is phenomenal and consistent. I've been getting the same dish each time I go, and each time I am blow away by how delicious it is. You can always count on this place for a great meal. And don't forget to save room for desert. Their gelato is to die for.

I go way back with the family that owns this place to years ago when they were in Palisades Park. The warm bread to start is perfection. Had a reasonable bottle of wine with dinner. Started with a shared order of eggplant rolatini. I had the rigatoni bolognese and my wife had shrimp and calamari. In between courses we both had a small salad. Food is freshly prepared and always arrives hot. Service is professional and attentive. Portion sizes are substantial. One of our favorite places to dine.

This was our third time in the last 3 years dining here on NYE and everything was excellent as usual. But do not just come here for holidays or special occasions! The food is delicious and the service is friendly & attentive. They have outside seating when the weather is warmer but the inside is very cozy and comfortable. Very enjoyable.

Private party facilities
This restored 1728 historic farmhouse, adorned with candles and warmed by antique fireplaces, is home to several quaint rooms serving freshly prepared Italian fare. These rooms can be used either separately or in unison to host your event from 12 to 110 guests. Our stone Wine Cellar is open during those cold Northeast winter months near one of our fireplaces. During the summer, our Meadowlace Terrace opens to allow our guests to enjoy the good life under the sun, the moon and the stars. Since our inception in March of 2001, we have prided ourselves in creating food that is fresh, always giving great care in the selection of ingredients used to prepare these items. We are available to cater your next special event, day or evening, intimate or large. My family and I welcome all those that wish to dine in what we consider our home.
