Il Forno Caldo Ratings and Reviews
I come here quite often and I must say that I am never bored of the food at Il Forno Caldo. The service is great, always friendly and very helpful with food recommendations. The ambiance of the restaurant is perfectly cozy and warm but still lively. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here!
I love penne with pink sauce and they make it very well here. The pizza is amazing, salad is amazing, and the bread, oh the bread, is delicious. Everything about the place makes me so excited to be there. If you haven't gone yet, or even if you have, definitely give it a try.
Very warm and welcoming, cozy atmosphere, excellent service. Lasagna was perfect, in a piping hot casserole directly from the oven. Penne arrabiata with sausage suitably spicy and flavorful. Outstanding, fresh crispy-crust bread. Location is nice, close to Rodeo drive (but minus the pretension).
Il Forno hits its mark in all categories - delicious food, lovely ambiance, superior service. It's a very comfortable place to go to, yet very "special occasion" at the same time. Ever since some good friends of ours introduced us to the restaurant, we've gone back multiple times and introduced it to others. A real winner!
We meet friends here often. The last time we went the very warm and friendly Italian chef came out to offer up the list of specials for the evening. He was delightful and added another wonderful dimension to the evening. The food was good and the atmosphere warm.
Great ambiance, cozy, and reasonably priced. I had a special - lobster ravioli - and it was delicious. My date had penne with sausage. Both had their pink sauce, which the waitress recommended, and she was spot on. Also had the bruschetta which was different (on a crispy flatbread - creative and lighter than the usual). Topped with a nice Sangiovese and we were delighted.
I made a reservation for 2:15 pm table and the restaurant was closed . It was so ridiculous. I was so angry that they allowed me to make a reservation with the door locked. Plus the server who came out and talked to us was very rude and not educated. The worst experience ever.
I have been coming here for several years now both for evening meals as well as biz lunches. The food is always outstanding, the prices reasonable and the Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. It is a neighborhood gem in BH and one that I hope is here for years to come.
Came for a casual dinner on a very hot day and were dismayed that they don't have air-conditioning. They did have a fan and we were ok. The staff did not tell us that there were specials for the night but we heard them from another table. The staff was very helpful in choosing a wine. I didn't think the turkey meatballs were as delicious as promised by our waitress. The pasta was al dente, and my husband's bolognese was good. The bread was served with a good balsamic. I had the pear salad which was good and quite large. The caprese salad had avocado in it which was good. Nothing special about the view or ambience.
