Il Fornello Oakville Ratings and Reviews
Such a great restaurant. We keep going back. Dan is a great front of the house manager and the food is always great.
Today we had the ravioli of the day which was excellent. As well as some braised beef pasta thing of the day. The beef was some of the most tender I have ever had.
Always great. Never a bad meal. Can't say enough great things aboot this restaurant.
Il Fornello is and has always been a mystery. They will go through long periods of mediocrity (like the last 12-18 months) when we will go less and less often and then it will climb back to the heights achieved when they first opened in downtown Toronto.
We are hoping that reascension begins soon.
Our server was very polite and friendly but smothering. He needs to be trained on when to approach a table.
Food was very good. I had the rapini and ricotta ravioli in hot tomato sauce. The portion was a little small for my appetite which left me craving for just a little bit more. Service was ok but I have experienced better in the same place before. Overall for a lunch with friends during business hours the experience was good. We sat on the patio as it was a beautiful day and had a great time.
The pasta is excellent and never disappoints! Yes the restaurant was busy for Mother's Day. We booked a couple weeks before, arrived on time. Table upper level surrounded by all other tables. My son and wife were bumped by staff and customers seating themselves at least three times. Table seemed to have been added with a shoe horn! Made a special night not seem as special when everyone else had a nice table!
