We’ve lived in the area for over 10 years and we finally made it out to dinner for my wife’s birthday tonight and we had a fantastic time. We arrived and were greeted by Erika. Jose served us at the bar while we waited for our table. Senzo, Giovanni, and Jonathan took over and treated us like family. The service, food and hospitality was unforgettable. The passion and sincerity of the staff is palpable. We plan to return for every family occasion!
Two Thumbs way up!!
Service was friendly but chaotic and slow. Food was tasty but unless you are in the neighborhood I would not make the effort. Lots of great places close to the water. That is what we will do next time.
The food at Il Falco is always great - this is a review of the terrible service. Last time I went there, I felt really rushed throughout the whole meal. This time was the complete opposite. I made an 8pm reservation to sit outside. We didn’t get seated until 8:50...indoors. (We later asked and were told outside dining is closed - that would have been nice to know prior to us arriving!!)
We had to sit at the bar for 50 minutes. They didn’t even comp our full bar tab, only part of it. And they only gave us free cheese and olives (and a round of wine) because we made a stink.
Once we were seated, they more or less forgot about us. Though I will say the guy who was in charge of refilling our water glasses was CRUSHING it.
We live nearby, and don’t think we’ll go back any time soon despite the super tasty food. Such a shame :(
A mini celebration of my engagement
Dined here to celebrate a college graduation! Overall nice time. Excellent service. Out of eight of us only six were completely satisfied with meal. The steaks were not cooked to order. LOVED the Limoncello at the end of the meal.
Il Falco is the best !
Everything was excellent I really recommend this place !
Favorite restaurant and generally another superb experience as re: food quality, tastes (OMG), presentation, service, grace, style, charm: everything. Couple of minor disappointments this time, though. In my rez I asked whether they might do something special for dessert as it was our wedding anniversary, noting that we're regular customers. Nothing was done or even said. Also, the brussels sprouts were described as crispy; they certainly were not.
Arrived in time for our 5:30 pre-theater dinner reservation. We were the first people in the restaurant after a large party that took up the entire restaurant. We were seated promptly and given our drinks but it took 3x asking and 25 minutes to get our menus and another 10 mins for them to come take our order. Then it took another 35 mins for our food to arrive. We were open about having theater tickets. Husband desperately needed coffee after his meal but we didn't dare wait for them to come around and ask and then wait for the coffee to arrive. Food was excellent and the restaurant nice, but was, overall, disappointed in the service.
Such a fantastic, welcoming staff. I would go back again in a heartbeat!
Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. Best flourless chocolate cake I've ever had too.
We came in right on time and, the maitre’d woman was very disorganized and slow, following the waiters also very slow. We did not get any menus for 30min. Finally we order the food and we had to wait for another 20 to 30min.
The food was good but spicy every each dishes.
Even though they were really busy our waiter made us feel like we were not waiting long at all. Everyone who works there is so nice and lets you know what’s going on and checks in with you. The food is incredible. We just moved to the area and we take our friends and family here whenever we can.
Excellent service! Lobster Ravioli was delicious and so was the lamb! would love to go back!
The Food & Service was Excellent. This is a Neighborhood Gem.
Always a wonderful time when dining here. The door is very good and the service is outstanding and genuine.
The food at Il Falco was great. The wine list was extensive and very well thought of, and the place is beautiful as well.
Hostess was great, service at the table could’ve been a bit better( thank god we weren’t too hungry bc the wait for food was long and our waiter forgot some things here and there) but we had a great lunch for mother’s day nonetheless. It was a busy day hence the wait for the food and the other small details is something I can disregard and come back again bc the staff was very nice and the food was amazing! Great for groups, or dates.
We have a lovely time and everything was yummy. Our waiter Romulus was delightful.
Hidden, rare gem in a working class area of LIC. Don't be fooled, it is just as good of not better to similat places in Manhattan.
Great food, terrific service and an old world classy place.
Out of this world . Service and food was superb
Great business lunch, thanks for taking care of us.
I read some really great reviews so I thought this would be the perfect place for my daughter's 25th birthday. They had our table including the high chair requested by the time we arrived. However, it went downhill from there. The restaurant was extremely warm. We waited over 45 minutes to just get menus. We asked 3 different people. Once we ordered, the food took forever to come and one it did, it was just mediocre. Not worth the price they were asking.
We arrived at 7 and didn't leave till after 10!
I also called to confirm that I could bring my own cake without charge and was told yes, then was charged a $20 cake fee.
I will never return to this restaurant. Not worth the wait, not worth the price.
We waited for our table for an hour. We were consistently lied to about why and when we were sitting down.
Some of our drinks were comped and the food was excellent, but we were too aggravated to enjoy it,
We won’t be back. There are some fabulous restaurants in Long Island City that actually honor reservations.
Fantastic Restaurant! This was our 3rd visit and we were totally happy just like our first 2 visits. The pasta dishes are excellent. I had the Osso Buco entree, which was SO tender and flavorful. On my last 2 visits, I had the prawns & risotto appetizer special and I am still taking about it. The bruscetta and the zucchini appetizer brought to each table is a very nice touch.
And the service - is simply superb!
Wwwooowwww It’s every bit as good as the first time! The place was filled with decent looking millennial and boomers all enjoying the meal and the service is excellent !
Entertained clients at Il Falco; was mediocre at best. Wine list is over the top expensive and limited in selection. Menu was extensive but very expensive
4th time I've dined at this restaurant, first time upstairs. I took my family here as they were in town. I don't know if it was because we were upstairs, but my only issue would be the overall lack of attention/speed of the servers. Too long did we have to wait for a wine list, menus, clearing plates, dessert options, etc. I understand that sometimes establishments are set up to let guests stay awhile, take their time, etc. but it got to the point of too much waiting that we grew tired of it. Can't ever knock the food and overall quality. It's one of the best restaurants around and this could have been a fluke having been upstairs and the servers having to walk up and down for every order. I will continue to visit this restaurant, but will ask to be seated downstairs.
The food at Il Falco is good and the menu items are reasonably priced, but beware the specials! Someone in our group ordered a fish special (the waiter didn't give the prices of any of the specials) and it turned out to be $50 (actually $49.50)!!! We were seated on the second floor where the acoustics were terrible and it was hard to talk above the din. A few times during our dinner we needed some help from the waitstaff but they had all disappeared so we had to wait several minutes to replace a fork that had fallen on the floor, to order additional glasses of wine and to pay the bill.
I discovered the restaurant a few months ago. I just went back for a third time...never disappoints.
Amazing specials and the staff is very attentive. Only thing I would say is open table says this restaurant is casual dining but the wait staff are wearing suits and bow ties which made our “casual party” feel a little under dressed. Having never been here before it would have been nice to have a better description.
Everything was wonderful
What’s the heart of the restaurant? The Kitchen and Chefs. This heart was transplanted from Manhattan to Queens with well known renown Chef Secondo. Chef is willing, able and accommodating to make your dish just as you like it!
Food was fabulous, service perfect and nice atmosphere.
Their food and service is good, but if you’re looking for truly authentic Italian cuisine, this is not the place.
Highly recommend this LIC gem. Excellent waiting staff, good food, and really reasonable price
Terrific find. Outstanding food. Great service. Can't ask for more!
Was “everyday dining” on a fun/work trip to NY but could be for a special occasion. We made the choice to leave the city to come here and was well worth it! Amazing food and impeccable service. A little loud at full capacity but I give five stars nonetheless. Would definitely go back when in town.
Very quaint romantic restaurant with great food, good prices, cool little bar. Reservations recommended. Ricotta cheesecake was unbelievable.
