Was “everyday dining” on a fun/work trip to NY but could be for a special occasion. We made the choice to leave the city to come here and was well worth it! Amazing food and impeccable service. A little loud at full capacity but I give five stars nonetheless. Would definitely go back when in town.
Very quaint romantic restaurant with great food, good prices, cool little bar. Reservations recommended. Ricotta cheesecake was unbelievable.
This is my favorite restaurant! The food is normally the best I have ever eaten, and comparable to the food in Italy. We usually go here before or after a Broadway show. Better food than the city and not as crazy. At our last reservation, the kitchen must've been off. My first 2 courses were great! Then I got my steak. It tasted like rubber with garlic all over it. My future brother in law got the same and agreed with me when I stated it. My brother in law tasted it and spit it out. I was so disappointed. Then, I got my cappuccino. It was luke warm. I had to send it back and then I couldn't finish it because the waiter told us he needed the table. I was so disappointed in this meal. I will go back again and stick to the Italian food and no longer get the steak. My sisters got seafood and it was amazing. Now I know.
Never disappoint good food . Good service , good ambiance and they always are busy !
We got a nice prosecco on the house while we where waiting for our table this is my favorite restaurant
We had an 8:30 reservation. We were seated at 9:30 and were served our appetizer at 10:30. The food was good, but certainly not spectacular. Can you imagine having your appetizer 2 hours after your reserved dining time? The servers also kept leaving the back door to the patio open, allowing the freezing air to flow over all of the rear tables (ours included). Fawlty Towers service--no extra charge. It was clear that none of the tables around us were happy with their meals or service, and we had been surrounded by severely delayed parties while we cooled our heels at the bar. Avoid!
Incredible every time!
Excellent service ,ambience and the food is amazing The best Italian restaurant in Lic !!
Top-notch service and authentic food with a true old world feel. This place is a gem.
A wonderful first class dining experience in Long Isalnd City. I highly recommend this restaurant
real italian food at nyc. staff was very friendly, food was amazing. will visit again ti try more food.
Went for my daughter’s birthday :
Very nice food, great service, will go back !
Il Falco is a great restaurant with delicious food. Every dish I've ordered has been absolutely amazing. The staff are very friendly, patient and attentive without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend it.
Heard nothing but great things about this restaurant --went for the first time and was disappointed. Food was mediocre and the restaurant was SO LOUD. Prices were high for LIC. Glad I tried it but will not return.
After living in Astoria for years we found this gem because we wanted to try a new neighborhood for my bday dinner. From the minute I got there , everyone was attentive and friendly. The food was sooooo good, worth the money. It was a lovely birthday dinner.
A small, classically white table-clothed restaurant. Waiters with black bow ties at a ratio of maybe 1 per table (!), courteous & attentive; higher positions seemed professionally trained & knowledgeable. Simple plates, glasses & utensils but just the right size, thickness & weight, aromatic rose seemed to be of good quality & shape. I did not expect a fancy restaurant like this in this area, but the staff were friendly & catered to diners in relaxed attire, which included at least 2 kids.
I thought the food was excellent - even the ordinary salad we shared was placed on the plates with care (don’t see this everywhere), and the dressing was flavorful. Lobster ravioli was delicious; tiramisu was light & thoroughly enjoyable; espresso was quite satisfying. Loved the choice of Chardonnay offered (didn’t look at the wine list but I would think very good). I dare say it was the best Italian I’ve ever had...sort of a friendly version of good French cuisine but with healthy portions.
It was pricey but at a level of a good restaurant. I wouldn’t be able to do everyday dining, but I would eat here & spend the same amount of money for special occasions rather than elsewhere because it gives more, and feel safe to come for business meals. I mused that a small cozy wedding group would be happy here. They seemed to have a 25-people room upstairs, and some tables outside in warmer months.
We were in a hurry to catch a performance & our needs were catered to accordingly, and the waiter was familiar with the neighborhood & ready to offer helpful info about the area. It seemed everybody took pride in the establishment, and I expect the restaurant to thrive. It was not difficult to get a reservation, and we were accommodated even though we were 15mins late. Really close to the subway station.
I am planning on going back for their pre-fixe (lunch), and trying the dinner again with people who love good food & good restaurant. I’ve already recommended the restaurant to someone:)
First time there. Had an event nearby and wanted a good restaurant. Couldn’t be more pleased. Food and service were excellent. We’ll be back.
It’s always a special treat to dine at Il Falco as the food is delicious and the staff is professional and accommodating, no matter the time or day. Last Saturday was no exception.
This restaurant is hands down one of my favorite in all of NYC. They take such pride in everything they do. Love Il Falco.
Excellent food and service
Professional and fresh
Unbelievable place, I really enjoyed my time there. The food was amazing and the service was equally as good. I enjoyed the ambiance in the restaurant and the underground kind of feel the place had.
It had to be the service/food combination ive had in a long time. The food was to die for, the drinks were strong and the service comparable to none A+.
What a new year's discovery for my 3 friends and me to dine at Il Falco. We were looking for a new discovery in Long Island City and couldn't have better chosen.
Missing in the choices of recommendations for this restaurant are two key element; the incredible food and wonderful, engaging service.
We visited probably the most busy night of the year, DEC 31, but we were entertained as if we were the only guests. Our servers insured that every detail of the food and service were excellent..... from a little Chef's welcome through a delicious dessert. Great bar as well.
Thanks and looking forward to another visit in 2018.
Amazing service and good. Great selection of wine and food
Everything was delicious as always with very excellent service. The menu and wine list are a bit pricy, but the restaurant is wonderful.
Always great service. Charming and cozy restaurant. Authentic very good Italian food. Daily off the menu specials are so good and varied, do not need to look at or order off the menu.
Upon reading the reviews I was excited to dine, but also a bit nervous as there were a few comments suggesting that the food takes a while to come. They were 100% correct, but I am not the least disappointed with the wait. The waiters take their time- each table is treated as if they are special guests, which means other tables will have to wait until it's their turn. They are not quick because they want you to sit, enjoy whichever course you are on as well as the company you are with. This is a traditional "old-style" way of Italian restaurants that I'm used to; very similar to hidden Italian restaurants from Chicago (I'm a native). You will see some of the popular dishes that you can find at any Italian spot: penne a la vodka, spaghetti, and so on, but they do have a pretty extensive list of not-so-well-known dishes, and delicious to boot. Is the food worth the money? Maybe not, but the service is very good and they are attentive. Staff won't auction off meals when they arrive at your table; they know who ordered which dish and they can recite the specials perfectly without having to just read a description. I enjoyed the lobster bisque soup: really great flavors, yet it could use less salt. The pasta tasted very fresh! They sang my boyfriend happy birthday and even gave us complimentary shots of limoncello. The dessert list is different and unique. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, this isn't really the spot for you, unless you get plain pasta and marinara. Overall, I was pleased with our experience and would recommend.
This is a lovely little restaurant with a cute interior and wonderful service. We split our entire meal and they separately plated every dish for us, which was a pleasant surprise and not what most restaurants would do for you. Unfortunately we found the food to be fairly unremarkable. We ordered a Caesar salad, a pasta dish, and a risotto that were about average, the risotto being much drier than I'm accustomed to. The overall experience was quite nice but the dishes were pricier than I'd expect based on how they tasted.
The restaurant was great, we were celebrating our first year anniversary, we arrived a little late due to the weather but the staff attended us immediately, we checked in our coats, & were shown to our table. Our waiter told us about the delicious specials they had for the day. Service was great, & the food was delicious. I spoke to one of the staff to inform him it was our anniversary, & he prepared a desert dish of what they had to offer & sang to us Happy Anniversary song. We had a great time. Will be going back.
Among the best in LIC. Pleasantly surprised and the food and service were divine.
Great food, Great service. Happened to be a birthday party while we were there that got a little noisy but they're entitled to eat out too I guess :)
My wife and I go to Il Falco a lot. Wilson is awesome and says the menu specials of the day off by heart the Italian way! Exceptional service, very comfortable environment and the food is fantastic
ILfalco never fails to impress! The food was delicious as always! The service is always outstanding! Thank you!
Pre-NYC Marathon Carbo load. Classic old school Italian. Waiters in tuxes. Excellent service. Big portions of really flavorful food. Tempting specials but had to stick to spaghetti for superstition. Will definitely be back.
Excellent! Beautifully prepared and intensely flavored conventional Italian dishes The portions are substantial, the service is highly professional, and the prices, while not cheap, are quite reasonable.
LOVE THIS PLACE!! We go there for birthdays. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Had an excellent glass of Sicilian wine, which I’d never had before. Can’t wait to go back!!
Excellent Dinner with very high class service.
We had been to this restaurant before and really enjoyed it and that is why we came back. This time was a totally different experience.
The food quality was just okay this time but the main problem was the wait. We were seated at approximately 8:30 although we had an 8:00 reservation. We did not receive our main courses until after 10 P.M and to make matters worse one course didn't arrive until 20 minutes after the others at which time we refused it . We were not charged for that course but obviously that is not the point.
Being that there are many other restaurants to choose from, we certainly do not need to go back to a restaurant where this situation might occur again.
Although food and service were great I had a hard time communicating with my date as noise was so bad it wasn't until I was leaving that I realized music was also on . I know you can't tell people to quiet down but one table had a drunk guy and his date was singing to him while feeding him a bit much
Fantastic restaurant. The service was great, and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend this place, and will probably be coming back myself.
This was my second visit to this fine restaurant. I think the staff at IL Falco really help to make this place special. Our waiter had a great personality. He made us feel like we were his guests. Friendly but always professional.
The menu is extensive and has multiple specials each evening. Many dishes are offered as appetizers or as entrees.
I make infrequent trips to New York and I rarely eat in the same place twice - there are just too many good choices. I will dine here again for a third time! It’s that good.
