We are going back for more! This place was outstanding. The veal Ossobuco was perfect and my spinach fettuccini with their home made veal sausage was so, so, tasty! I had leftovers for the next day and thought of going back for more. This is our new favorite for Paso Robles. The service was outstanding, from the kitchen to our table in seconds. Their attention to dining details is just terrific as well as their food recommendations. Their staff is focused on your dining experience. Thank you, very much!

The food is good. The salad was just lettuces with parmesan. I would have loved a house salad with some fresh local veggies.
The scallops were wild and delicious , I wouldn't change a thing there. I also enjoyed the lobster ravioli , but had to request parmesan .
To compete with other fine dining they need to step it up and offer fresh WILD fish. Sadly there was none on the menu .Their salmon was farmed . Wild caught salmon is in season right now by the way.
This is on the high price range for local restaurants. Being so , I don't understand using a blend of canola and olive oil . Certainly it can't cost much more to use pure olive oil . I'm allergic to canola oil so I always ask what oils are being used .They were happy to accommodate my allergy and overall it was a good meal .
We had eaten at another Italian restaurant the night before which had a superior salad and wild fish. I eat high quality ingredients at home so I look for the same when I go out.
This is my favorite restaurant in Paso Robles. On a warm evening the outdoor patio is divine. The night we were there it was cold so I missed the open air ambiance. But I will return.

Very nice starters, entrees and wine.
Upon wrong order because of a miscommunication, very quick and kind recovery was very much appreciated.
It was really professional service.

Greeting and cocktail service in a comfortably glamorous setting were perfectly coordinated to start a memorable dining experience. Octopus, grilled, over fine vegetable white bean mix was sooo good. Special of the evening, seafood pasta makes me smile recalling how great finely prepared fresh pasta and seafood can be. Salmon entry was good but pasta stellar. Wine advice was very good, waitress was thoughtful, fun and engaged. Fresh fruit tart dessert was great. We loved dining here. Excellent value for exceptional food and wine.

On a holiday with friends. Recommended by a co-worker. We really enjoyed the fish and pasta dishes we ordered. Homemade pastas were full flavored, perfectly cooked fish (branzino & salmon) with great sides.

trip from Los Angeles to Paso Robles for wine tasting. 2nd time at Il Cortile. Last time was in Fall of 2016. We loved it then, and it did not disappoint. First time we were at a table indoors, this trip we were at a table outside -- most of the outside area is under a cover above and on side. it's very pleasant. the food is very good, from start to finish. Wait-staff very attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I recommend the restaurant for 1 or 2 couples. it has an intimate feeling and didn't seem the place for a large group or party. We like this place and next trip we will be back again.

This is hands down the best restaurant in all of San Luis Obispo county! The food is outstanding, the wine list unparallel, wait staff is exceptional, and the atmosphere is superb. Try the scallops! Seriously, do yourself a favor and get a table today. Quiet and empty until about 6, then steadily fills up. Reservations are a must if you want to be sure of availability, and book a week or two in advance for most holidays (1 month plus for Valentines day). Business casual is the average, but slightly less formal will fit in too.

After nine years, improves every year. Classic Italian. Great service. We had two dishes with black truffles, very generous with the truffles and reasonable. Great wine list, especially local and Italian. Best place in Paso now that Artisan is closed.

We enjoyed the restaurant, but there also was also nothing special or extraordinary about the experience. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and was incredibly tender. At the same time, it was the thinnest filet I've ever eaten, maybe an 1 1/4" thick. The side vegetables were meager. The lobster ravioli was delicious but not supreme. At the price point, we will probably try another restaurant the next time.

BEST house made pasta anywhere in CA!!! My 2nd visit to Il Cortile and I promised that I’d come back next time I’m in Paso so I did. Been to the best restaurants in the world but the pasta here beats them all. Paper thin ravioli. Delectable sauce and fresh fresh fresh. Can’t say enough. The quail appetizer was an entree by itself - delicate and beautifully presented. Elegant ambiance and impeccable friendly service adds to the culinary delight.

We were visiting the area as a part of our 42 wedding anniversary celebration. After reading some very positive reviews, we decided to have dinner at Il Cortile - what a fantastic decision that turned out to be!! Street parking was really easy and upon entering the restaurant we received a very warm welcome and were quickly shown to our table. Within moments our waitress came over welcomed us and spent a few minutes chatting with us and generally making us feel comfortable. The restaurant was small and cozy and the other diners seemed happy and the aromas from the other tables made our mouths water; it smelled so delicious! We began with the warm bread and a plate of oil and balsamic to dip it in. Because we had spent the day tasting wines, neither my wife nor I ordered wine. We shared the Caprese salad - it was wonderful. My wife had one of the specials, a fettuccine dish with scallops, mussels and shrimp and I had the spinach fettuccine with homemade sausage - both dishes were perfection however the portion sizes were very generous and neither of us could finish. We were checked on and taken care of, the food and atmosphere were great and we ended the evening happily satisfied and looking forward to the next time. Wonderful restaurant which I would easily and highly recommend!

My wife and I had been meaning to try Il Cortile for several years on one of our infrequent stays in Paso Robles, where there are so many great dining choices. Well, we finally dined at Il Cortile and loved every bite. The service was expert, friendly, and overall, just excellent. We look forward to our next visit.

Our reservation was promptly honored and we were seated at the door. Our shared octopus appetizer was perfectly cooked but oddly accompanied by an orange marinara and beans. Pasta courses were tasty, very hot and generous. My lobster ravioli was served with the same oddly colored and not very seasoned orange marinara sauce. Good wine menu offerings.

Food and service were wonderful in fact the food was highly memorable. Our only complaint is the lack of salad options. They offer only one salad option and if you don’t care for bitter greens it’s no option at all.

We have eaten here once before and found every dish to be superior. This time I had a very exciting surprise: I love truffle dishes and when there on May 12, they had received Italian black truffles from a contact in L.A. For years, I haven't been able to enjoy a dish with a strong flavor of truffle, i.e. more than a hint that at least a drop of truffle oil is in there.

So naturally, I did overkill: a first course of fettuccine in a light shellfish flavored Alredo truffle sauce, and next a carpaccio dish topped with truffles in a delicious and not thick sauce on top. All the truffles were sliced, not those annoying little chunk. Both were perfect.

Heaven!

Very good food - the octopus was outstanding, as was the Chilean Sea Bass. Wine list is great...pricey but certainly very robust selections. My wife and I were there at 8:15 and the restaurant, being so "cozy", was very noisy - although perhaps it was just the one table that seemed to have had too much to drink and were unaware of their behavior.
