As always, this place does not disappoint! Everything from start to finish was fantastic! We will return again and again! Thank you again!
The food is overpriced for less than mediocre food. This restaurant is advertised as an Italian restaurant, there is nothing Italian about the food. There was no balance of flavors, every flavor overpowered the next bite of food. I had the pappardelle with the boar, again no balance of flavors. My husband had the squid ink pasta with baby octopus, over salted, again no balance of flavors, definitely not Italian cuisine. We were not impressed and will never return.
Loved this place on our first visit and it remains our fav in Paso. We get delishious food and great service. Had the crustino, veggie soup, osso buco, truffle pasta(!!!!) and berry cream tart. All were fantastic. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
We discovered it thru open table while driving to Monterey.
Everything we ate was wonderful.
Service was lovely.
A definite must if you're in Paso Robles
Service was fantastic. Food was amazing. Ambience was incredible! Can't wait to return.
Our table enjoyed the meal. Mine was the boar pappardelle which was OK. Service was good if a little stiff. My biggest gripe is with the wine menu. Of four pages of very interesting wines, both regional and Italian, I counted only a handful under $100 with a large number in the $200 to $300 range. They could have offered tens of world-class Paso / Central coast vintages in the $50 to $100 range and still exceeded the 2X retail “Rule of Thumb” price rule for fine dining establishments.
This is our favorite Italian restaurant when we visit Paso Robles, especially the grilled Octopus . Food is always excellent and reminds us of being in Italy.
We have eaten here a few time over the last year. Food and service is outstanding. Chef Santos puts together a great menu and specials.
We returned to Paso and had to return Il Cortile Ristorante. We had eaten here in the past and enjoyed it very much.
We started with the grilled octopus it was amazingly good. We also shared the main courses, lobster ravioli and sea bass. The sauce on the ravioli was so good that I had to ask for more bread sop up every drop. The fish was perfectly prepared served on a bed of risoto that was excellent.
The service was great, the waiter suggested a wine to go with our meal and couldn't have done better.
After the meal I sat back and watched the staff work, it reminded me of a symphany where the sound every instrument blended seamlessly to produce just the right sound.
Can it get any better?!
Been there several times over the years and each time they out do themselves.
Great food, great place!
Amazing! Everything was great food, service, ambience! The menu was impressive and very appealing; hard to decide what to order!
Our server was awesome as well!
Amazing beef carpaccio with truffles and fettuccine with truffles. Our server recommended a perfect wine to pair. Cannolis to finish were amazing!
When in Paso for wine selection I usually stop by Il C and it is always very nice. The service is the best part followed by the food than the wine list. They don t have a liquor license.
The sea-bass was cooked to perfection, moist and crispy skin, the ink squid pasta was perfect, the truffle carpaccio was flooded in a cream sauce but tasted like truffle, the grand marnier creme brulee was devine. We had some Alban Syrah and that was terrific.
The Best Restaurant in Paso Robles, no question.
Loved the octopus appetizer. We both had the specials. Osso buco and seafood fettuccine
Another excellent dinner at Il Cortile. Osso buco and branzino were prepared perfectly. Service was efficient, friendly and courteous.
We had dinner reservations at 8:15 but we arrived early and they were able to accommodate us. Our waitress was great and explained all the specials for the night. We ordered the bruschetta and octopus appetizers and they were amazing! Our entrees were even better....everyone needs to get the black truffle risotto. You will not be disappointed! We can’t wait to come back and eat there again!
This was our third visit to this lovely restaurant and although we have found many good restaurants in Paso Robles, Il Cortile is our favorite. Friendly service with a lovely wine selection and great food!
Food was great
Amazing as always!
Excellent Italian restaurant. In Paso Robles. Reservations are a must.
Everyone in town literally told us we had to eat here on our trip, to the point where our expectation were very high. It lived up to the hype. Incredible, fresh Italian food featuring homemade pastas with many specials like pork osso buco or a grilled veal chop. The truffle risotto stole the show; we ordered an entree size serving as an appetizer to split with four adults, the generous portion of shaved truffles on top was mind blowing. We also ordered a salad to share and it was sublime. Eric was an amazing waiter and the wine list he curated is pretty special. Plenty of local selections, but if you're into high end Italian producers, this is a good place to splurge on that special bottle you've always wanted to try.
Our 18th anniversary. Service was great. Food was fabulously. Can’t wait to go back.
Delish food and excellent wine menu! Will be back as soon as I can!!
We had a romantic dinner there. I found the food and service quite good. My wife was not as impressed with the food. That being said, she is an extremely tough food critic.
Hostess/owner was most hospitable and waiter was highly knowledgeable about Paso Robles and central coast wines. My octopus starter was the best I ever had. Branzino was excellent and very fresh. Highly recommended.
We are locals and have eaten here many times. Fantastic Italian food and great wine list plus a very nice ambience and service.
The dining room atmosphere was genteel, sophisticated (with NO tv monitor) and you could hear each other and have a real conversation! The food was sublime. I’m Italian and discerning about my Italian food, and here the pasta was incredible and the sauces delicious. If I lived in Paso I would be eating here as often as possible!! Only thing missing was one great painting on the wall...
The food was delicious! In particular, we were delighted by the polenta with poached egg appetizer. The flavor and texture are remarkable. My husband enjoyed the Rack of Lamb that he said was cooked and flavored to perfection. I had the Gnocci that was perfectly flavored. It wasn't too bold nor did it lack flavor. It was light yet rich. We ended our anniversary meal with a Torta. It was light, airy and tasty. Highly recommend!
We had hair in our food and the owner and service was extremely dissatisfying and rude
Excellent service and food. Great daily specials for lots of options. Fabulous desserts.
Every time we come to Paso Robles we stop at Il Cortile! And we always ask for Eric!
This restaurant is worth the high marks. I had an appetizer scallops dish that was pricy but the best scallop preparation I’ve ever had. The wine list was excellent and the service was great.
The best plate of food my husband and I have had in a very very long time. So much flavor and it was perfect temperature when it was served to us, I wish we lived closer so we could make this an every special occasion dinner spot!
We were at Il Cortile for my husband's 50th birthday and we were so glad we chose this restaurant. The food was delicious, we both had the filet mignon, which was amazing. Service was very good, we'd definitely come back.
Food is always amazing! We came for our anniversary last year and had to come back because we enjoyed it so much. Our server was also very accommodating. Definitely recommend making reservations though if you plan on going.
Visited Paso Robles for the weekend wine tasting and this restaurant was recommended by two of the downtown tasting rooms. It was very good and with great service! My friend had traveled to Italy last year for cooking classes on making authentic pasta and sauces. She was said this place was the real deal!
We have eaten here twice before and liked the restaurant a lot. This time we noticed that the quality of the food, not the preparation, was not as we would expect. The mussels in the pasta were tough and tasted of freezer burn. The pork shank was tasteless meat with no pork flavor. The service was great and the wine selection very good but we will choose another restaurant on our next trip through.
Great wines! The food would be great on its own without being over sauced. Carpaccio with fresh shaved truffle was slathered in waaay too much sauce. Ditch 90% of the sauce and you have a perfect dish. The scallops were good and the pea purée was beautiful. The sausage in the fettuccini was quite good. Overall, this could be a great restaurant if they just pulled back on the sauces a bit - very rich!
Carole and Santos make every every evening special at Il Cortile. The food is exquisitely prepared and served, and the restaurant exudes a warm and welcoming hospitality.
