The dining room atmosphere was genteel, sophisticated (with NO tv monitor) and you could hear each other and have a real conversation! The food was sublime. I’m Italian and discerning about my Italian food, and here the pasta was incredible and the sauces delicious. If I lived in Paso I would be eating here as often as possible!! Only thing missing was one great painting on the wall...
The food was delicious! In particular, we were delighted by the polenta with poached egg appetizer. The flavor and texture are remarkable. My husband enjoyed the Rack of Lamb that he said was cooked and flavored to perfection. I had the Gnocci that was perfectly flavored. It wasn't too bold nor did it lack flavor. It was light yet rich. We ended our anniversary meal with a Torta. It was light, airy and tasty. Highly recommend!
Excellent service and food. Great daily specials for lots of options. Fabulous desserts.
Every time we come to Paso Robles we stop at Il Cortile! And we always ask for Eric!
This restaurant is worth the high marks. I had an appetizer scallops dish that was pricy but the best scallop preparation I’ve ever had. The wine list was excellent and the service was great.
The best plate of food my husband and I have had in a very very long time. So much flavor and it was perfect temperature when it was served to us, I wish we lived closer so we could make this an every special occasion dinner spot!
We were at Il Cortile for my husband's 50th birthday and we were so glad we chose this restaurant. The food was delicious, we both had the filet mignon, which was amazing. Service was very good, we'd definitely come back.
Food is always amazing! We came for our anniversary last year and had to come back because we enjoyed it so much. Our server was also very accommodating. Definitely recommend making reservations though if you plan on going.
Visited Paso Robles for the weekend wine tasting and this restaurant was recommended by two of the downtown tasting rooms. It was very good and with great service! My friend had traveled to Italy last year for cooking classes on making authentic pasta and sauces. She was said this place was the real deal!
We have eaten here twice before and liked the restaurant a lot. This time we noticed that the quality of the food, not the preparation, was not as we would expect. The mussels in the pasta were tough and tasted of freezer burn. The pork shank was tasteless meat with no pork flavor. The service was great and the wine selection very good but we will choose another restaurant on our next trip through.
Great wines! The food would be great on its own without being over sauced. Carpaccio with fresh shaved truffle was slathered in waaay too much sauce. Ditch 90% of the sauce and you have a perfect dish. The scallops were good and the pea purée was beautiful. The sausage in the fettuccini was quite good. Overall, this could be a great restaurant if they just pulled back on the sauces a bit - very rich!
Carole and Santos make every every evening special at Il Cortile. The food is exquisitely prepared and served, and the restaurant exudes a warm and welcoming hospitality.
Food and service were very good. Wine list was overpriced and leaned extensively to red. The white wine list was very limited. Tables were too small to accommodate food, bread basket and drinks.
Oso buco was so tender and flavorful.
Excellent food! we celebrated my birthday on Friday night and came back for dinner the night after. it was delicious!
We had another great meal along with very good service! We love going there when we are in the area. Would recommend trying if you are in Paso Robles.
We tried after a day of wine tasting in Paso. Our table was ready and nicely positioned. They were doing a J. Dusi wine dinner which looked lovely. We were "wined out" so did not participate. We shared 3 appetizers which were excellent and a veal chop. The foie gras was perfectly seared as were the scallops which were served with green peas and pea sauce. Delicious.
Amazing! 5 Stars top to bottom.
Best food ever!!
Our favorite restaurant in Paso. Never disappoints.
When ever we are in Paso Robles Il Cortile is a must. Great Italian food. I admit I am in a rut. But, what a great rut it is. I have to have the Pork Osso Bucco on a bed of creamy Risotto every time I eat here. Yum. For an appetizer the Grilled Octopus is hard to beat. A must restaurant as far as I am concerned.
Delicious, authentic Italian cuisine. Fresh ingredients. Excellent service.
Our family ate here and enjoyed ourselves. They had a nice range of wines to try from and offer tastes if the ones they served by the glass. We had the Osso bucco, papparadell with wild boar raging, and the risotto with truffles. Everything was delicious.
Went for the winemaker's reverse dinner with Alta Colina. Food pairing was great, and wine was great. Servers were very attentive and personable.
Another fine Reverse Wine Dinner with Alta Colina Wines! Great food pairings. Meet with our friend Bob Tillman, owner of Alta Colina, and his family. Best tiramisu desert in California or anywhere! Go Carol and Santos!
Amazing dinner, as always. We have dinner here whenever we're in Paso. Easily the best restaurant in town. Homemade pastas to die for.
I had pork osso bucco with risotto and wanted to lick my plate. Just go!
This was my first time at 11 Cortille Ristorante, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The occassion was a birthday dinner for myself, and both my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. I had the gnocci pasta, with a salad to start, and my husband had the fish. I thought the food and service were both impecable. The restaurant also carries a nice selection of wines, to go with the outstanding meal. The staff paid a lot of attention to the details, making us really felt as though we were at a very high end establishment. The end of the meal was also a nice suprise because of the reasonalble cost. My husband is an accountant, so he very much appreciated it. We will be absolutely be back again, next time we are in Paso Robles.
PRETTY INTERIOR, FINE SERVICE, VERY GOOD FOOD, GOOD LOCATION. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY. WORTH A TRIP.
Consistently outstanding food from Chef Santos! And our server, Capri, elevated the dining experience! Il Cortile is,our favorite restaurant in Paso, hands down!
Awesome - everything - perfect - Truffle’s with the fresh Fettucini OUT OF THIS WORLD. Can’t wait to go back.
Love the food, the service, the environment! Wish that our BDay celebration dessert was comped though.
My wife and I and two guests attended the Reverse Wine Dinner with Epoch Wines on February 7th . The Prosecco before dinner was a real treat! The food prepared to pair with the Epoch Wines was perfect. And to finish off the meal with Santos' tiramisu was heavenly. We only spent almost three hours enjoying our meal, drinking fine wine and talking with our special guests.
We went there for the reverse wine pairing night featuring Epoch Winery. We selected the Tempranillo, which is a big tannic wine and the chef did not disappoint. All the food was wonderful and paired beautifully with the wine.
Wonderful place with delicious house made pasta dishes and also EVERYTHING else. The seasonal Scallop dish was amazing. Best to sit inside rather than on patio in my humble opinion. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Paso Robles.
Never had such rushed service..server asked how the food was before we had a bite. She came to pick up our plates and said, hand on plate, do you want that last bite? As if we’d whip out a fork and grab it midair. She dropped our check WITH dessert. It was 8:30, restaurant mostly empty. Food was average—my ravioli thrown in the plate. Room was nice, menu good, wine was great. But dont’t bother
Had high expectations and they were exceeded. The chefs special's were very special. Everyone in group thought they had the best of the meals ordered. Will return.
Il Cortile has always been fabulous. We are locals so we dine here often, and this restaurant never fails! The food is creative and delicious and the service is impeccable.
A special reverse wine dinner with Bella Luna Winery. Santos, great pairing!!
We took part in the Reverse Wine Pairing series at Il Cortile, featuring Bella Luna Winery out in Templeton. I've always loved their Barbera and Sangiovese, and the food at Il Cortile is so good. All four of us loved each dish and the great pairings created by the chef. Each wine had a three-course pairing menu. You buy a bottle or two of wine and then order the pairing set you want. The duck carpaccio is a perennial favorite, the lasagna was excellent, the kubocha squash soup was perfect and the fettucine with mushrooms was just divine with the earthy Estate Riserva. The Cotolette di pollo, though, a chicken cutlet with mortadella and cacciocavallo cheese in a light cream sauce was killer, especially with the bright and sassy 2013 Bella Luna Sangiovese Grosso. Don't miss the chance to do these Reverse Wine pairings!
Delicious! Everything hot & proportioned right. We'll definitely go back.
