Il Cortile Ristorante
wild boar ragu (wow) and the lamb chops were to die for
I love the grilled octopus and the wine. Ordered osso bucco with parmesan risotto. It was delicious
Wonderful dinner with great service. We look forward to going back when we are next in the area.
Great service and delicious food
Tables are so small the bread and oil only fit if you remove the fake candle
Seating is so close I couldn’t place my purse on the bench between me and the next couple
Not a romantic dinner place to go to because of being seated so close
Food is rushed. You can’t enjoy an appetizer because your main course has come and the table is so small it won’t fit
Our food was good. There is a very limited bar menu. The menu itself is fairly funky choices. For a $170 dollar meal I would think you could order any cocktail you would like. Atmosphere is very plain.
Perfect pasta! I had the spaghetti carbonara and my wife, mushroom risotto. Neither of us willing to share! Sat at the bar which always means we get some extra chat time with the bartender/server. Gives us better insight into the restaurant. This one is a high recommendation.
Nice meal for our anniversary. Enjoyed the veal chop and pork shank. Nice wine list and good service.
Too small facility with constant movement of staff up and down narrow aisles.
Food and service was good.
My wife and I went with another couple the other night and found the experience disappointing. We had been there before and always had a good time. However, this time the waiter seemed annoyed when we asked about a vegan dish for our friend, even though it was advertised on Trip Advisor. Then my grilled calamari appetizer was over cooked and bland while my friend’s caprese had tomatoes that were not ripe. But the real disappointment came when my wife’s pasta dish had ingredients missing that were noted on the menu. In addition my ravioli type dish was under cooked and so little filling you hardly noticed it. During all this the waiter seemed to be avoiding our table and focused on those who appeared to be regulars. The restaurant did not charge my wife and I for our entres but the evening was ruined. Based on the inconsistencies in the food, the lack of the kitchen’s attention to details and the poor attention by the wait staff supports my reasoning for not recommending this restaurant.
Quality of service, food and wine list is outstanding. We have been frequent diners and are never disappointed.
The place was nice and cozy service was amazing. The food was definitely sub par for the price there was bones in my sea bass I almost choked on they left the skin on which made the fish just wreak badly. Definitely didn’t come out cooked at proper temperature. The scallops saying story very cold like they were cooked too fast. The filet mignon was cooked perfect tasted amazing but that’s about it. Say I’d go back again maybe if they change chefs but not worth it a second time.
THE finest restaurant in Paso Robles!
This restaurant is our Go-To plase in Paseo. Every dish is excellent. Can't wait to return.
Fantastic service, food and wine! The Pork Osso Bucco was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!
One if the finest Italian restaurants I have experienced in California . Great wine list and service supreme. It’s a don’t miss if you are visiting Paso Robles - if I lived closer would be a regular.
We had an incredible dinner at Il Cortile Ristorante in Paso Robles. The food (we both had pasta) and wine (as suggested by Ivan) were delicious, the service was impeccable, and the decor was minimalist and serene. If we had stayed another night, we would have eaten there again!
Perfect service food and ambiance . We always enjoy what is offered
Dinner was wonderful! The food and service were very good. The wine list is a great collection.
Fantastic food. Service and ambiance for a birthday celebration! We made reservations and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere. Server was very attentive and friendly.
A great find in downtown Paso. We all really liked the food, ambiance and service.
Excellent high end Italian food comes to Paso.
What really makes it special is the staff.
Our server was from Italy, and knew his stuff about what wine to pair with a dish.
Loved our dinner there.
The food was absolutely delicious and the menu was reasonably priced. We would go back next time we are in Paso Robles.
Started off with the octopus, which was excellent, then had the fettuccine & pappardelle, which were amazing. Finished off the meal with the tiramisu.....another winner!! Service was great as well. Loved it. Would highly recommend!!
Delicious food, beautifully presented in a casual environment. Smaller portions with larger prices, best for a special night out.
Delicious fresh pasta, excellent service and wonerful wine menu! Highly recommend..
Salmon was so over cooked is was not edible. The sea bass, which was the special, was the most fatty tasting fish we have ever been served-not edible. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone!
Fabulous food, friendly service, reasonable prices, lovely atmosphere! II Cortile never disappoints!
Very good italian food. Pasta al dente and service perfect.
Superb service by Eric. Food was excellent.
04/13/2019 - meeting place to get together between friends who no longer live in the same cities.
Always reliably AMAZING. I simply will not eat carpaccio anywhere but here. The handmade pasta, especially their seafood pastas are a delight.
Very cute italian restaurant in Paso Robles with outstanding menu. We had a meal loaded with truffles and it was subline. Can't wait to go back again.
Love love this place.
It is one of our main reasons for coming to Paso. The risotto is always some sort of culinary magic trick. So good.
The menu is a little meat-heavy. I had trouble finding anything interesting to eat that was vegetarian. Every single pasta dish had meat but one seafood spaghetti, which was the special. There was a mushroom risotto, though. Our waiter was very good, one of the best ever. Wonderfully complete wine list, too.
Exceptional! Great food, great service and comfortable atmosphere. Everything we tried was delicious but a special shout out for the crostini - a must try.
We wanted a simple meal after a day of wine tasting, and this fit the bill. The fettuccine with sausage was excellent as well as the panna cotta for dessert. The waiter was helpful but not pushy with suggestions, and the restaurant was lively but not noisy.
This is a quaint, charming restaurant in the heart of downtown Paso Robles. The menu is carefully crafted to include items created with the freshest ingredients. We had Kabucha Squash Gnocchi, Grilled Octopus and a
winter Caprese with roasted tomatoes. Finished off with a nice selection of cheeses. Everything was delicious. The cocktails are tasty and the wine List well thought out. Our service here has always been impeccable. Highly, highly recommend.
A very good and solid restaurant especially for Paso Robles. I enjoyed everything! The beef carpaccio was different in that it was served with a cream sauce but it was yummy especially with the black truffle shavings. My daughter and I shared the wild boar paperdelle - great meaty tomato sauce which also had mushrooms. The pasta is homemade too. We had the molten chocolate cake for dessert which was good - it came with vanilla ice cream. You'll get great food and service but you get pretty small portions and the restaurant is on the pricier side. We asked them to make butter pasta for our daughter with Parmesan cheese and they charged us $12 for it. If you're in Paso Robles for one night this is still a good choice.
The restaurant was packed and yet the service was flawless. Our Server Erick was professional, knowledgeable and with a great personality. The polenta with the egg, was delicious, the special: seafood spaghetti was delicious but what caught my eye was the version at this restaurant the seafood was already out of the shell and mixed with the pasta so no need to play surgeon and make a mess with the shells at the table. The ragú pasta was also excellent as well as the salads and of course the Martinis. Since all us were having different type of dishes Erick suggested an outstanding Pinot that paired very well with all the dishes. I this is, without doubt the place to dine in Paso Robles.
We enjoyed our meal at Il Cortile once again and consider it the best Italian restaurant in Paso Robles, and actually, our favorite. We shared a special salad that was similar to a caprese but with roasted tomatoes, a agnolotti filled with lobster (another special), and finished with a lovely sea bass. The cocktails were great, as was the wine list. We will return each time we're in town.
