Had the truffle risotto and it was SPECTACULAR!! Highly recommended.
Very nice find in a growing wine tasting region for a nice end to a fun weekend.
Best restaurant in Paso, if not the central coast! Food and wines are exquisite. We had an 8:30 pm reservation and people were still coming in for 9:30 reservations. Well worth taking any time slot available!
We had a table on the outdoor patio, wait staff efficient and personable. The fish special and the agnolotti were both spectacular and the cannolis were so delicious. We love this restaurant
We have eaten here two other times and really enjoyed it. This year was really disappointing. The food was really bad and the menu was very limited. I had the arugula salad - awful!! The dressing was watery, the mushrooms too chewy and slimy. I had the pork Osso Buco which was tender, but had very little meat and the accompanying sauce was an odd - white wine and tomato? The risotto was way too garlicky and runny. The wild boar pasta was also very disappointing and the pasta was way overcooked. All in all, a huge disappointment and yet, the restaurant was packed. Go figure.
They were super busy, so the service was pretty bad, but the food was excellent.
Very good Italian food. Excellent service and good wine. An enjoyable evening
One of the best restaurants in Paso. Lamb and pasta was exquisite.
Excellent. One of two meals during my stay in Paso Robles that I rank as the best meals I’ve had since the pandemic.
Excellent food, very good service. Was more crowded and much noisier than previous visits.
The food, service & ambiance are outstanding!!!
I highly recommend reservations as they get busy quickly upon opening.
Awesome staffs and outstanding foods! Nice and clean environment. Don’t hesitate to dine here.
As always, the meal was amazing. The octopus appetizer is our favorite and did not disappoint. The filet was perfection! We will be back the next time we visit Paso !
Our entrees were very good. We waited a very long time for them. They were very busy and they were also serving the hotel next door. The waiting for our mains really tainted our experience.
The food we had was excellent, as was our server, Austin.
Unfortunately, they were out of more than one of the menu items that we had planned to order.
Getting seated by the hostess was not a good experience this time.
Because we were to be seated next to a server station, we asked for one of the multiple other vacant tables for two. We were told we could not because of a larger party coming later and that certain tables had to clear by specific times (the other tables supposedly had reservations within 15 minutes of ours).
While this may have been technically reasonable if the place had been packed, it seemed flimsy at the time.
Subsequently, couples were seated after us at both other tables. One couple left before we did and the other couple was finishing up as we left. Up until then, there was no large party seated, nor were any tables rearranged (which was another part of the hostess' initial explanation). There also were other vacant tables the entire time.
It's a great restaurant that serves wonderful food; however, the hostess needed to exercise a bit more judgment (or be able to, if she wasn't allowed to on her own) and use a bit more common sense.
We will be back for the food.
We consistently have an excellent experience here. We are assuming this visit was an exception. The waiter seemed annoyed to be there. When asked multiple times about getting bread at our table, he finally replied, “it’s not a priority for the kitchen”. We will be back, but based on prior experiences and great food.
Wife and I enjoyed marvelous Fri nite dinner reserved through open table. Arrive 20 min early for 7:30 reservation, seated inside almost immediately in the busy restaurant. Service was prompt but not rushed. Wife had squid Ink pasta w crab, I enjoyed one of the nites special osso bucco, both prepared to perfection. Enjoyed server recommend Pinot noir for the pasta and a delightful Petite Syrah w Osso Bucco. Lively restaurant, both locals and visitors, dressed from dressy special occasion to more casual local ranchers and visitors. Glad we were indoors on this blustery evening.
Our server was nice and accommodating. Food was ok. The hostess was disengaged from the arrival to the seating. She was not welcoming looking at her screen for 5 mins before interacting with us. It was awkward, we didn't want to interrupt. I would revaluate your hostess choice. They are the first one that greets your guest, and she didn't cut it.
Bartender Liam is the best! Great recommendations. The stakes were cooked to perfection.
Just a little too cold to eat outside, lighting needs to be better. Food was fabulous and service was great. We will be definitely be back, just thought I’d let you know.
This our third time at Il Cortile in the past 5 years and each dining experience is uniquely amazing. Great service and exquisite cuisine. This restaurant never ceases to amaze.
Some of the best Italian food I’ve had since living in the City!!
Excellent lamb agnolotti with savory sauce, had to get more bread to sop it up. Very tender veal chop. Great tiramisu.
A great experience. Food was the best Italian I've had, including north end in Boston, NYC, or San Fran
Fabulous Italian Food. Doesn’t get any better, even in Italy
We love this place! Our first time back post COVID. We brought a friend this time and he had the Osso Bucco. He has visited some great places but said this plate was the best meal he ever had. We agree! The staff, presentation and food are over the top BEST meal in Paso.
We needed a restaurant in Paso. I’ll Cortile is always fine. Not amazing. Octopus appetizer was good. Corn ravioli with guanciale was delicious but guanciale nearly nonexistent , which was fine, but I asked for a “light red” wine because of the guanciale. The server suggested Nebbiolo, surprising me, since Nebbiolo is usually very heavy. It was this time too. Not really drinkable and not well matched to the meal. Oh well.
Make sure you get a good snack before you go. It took me over an hour to get food. The bread came after we were finished eating. We were told that it was not a priority in the kitchen now and they are just putting it in the oven. 15 min later when we asked again, they were still putting it in the oven. They are definitely extremely understaffed and should not take that many reservations since that really reflects on their service. The food quality was good though .
Delicious meal and very good service.
Excellent as usual!
Must try… everything is outstanding.
My fav are the risotto and wild boar pappardelle.
Food was great! It was in a little pricey side. Black truffle pasta was MP, so we didn’t know how much it was. We also ordered two chef specials that were not on the menu so we didn’t know how much it was. Bill for two with just a glass of Chardonnay (husband doesn’t drink alcohol) was a little over $200, no steak or seafood. No complimentary dessert for our anniversary.
Our favorite dish is the polenta appetizer with a poached egg and shaved black truffles. We have it every time we dine here. All of their pastas are amazing . Definitely have to try this place if you have not. Their tiramisu was also amazing.
Went for dinner, had reservations!
We were told this place was great!
very disappointed with attitude of front hostess, not friendly at all, our waitress was ok, but the prices way over for what is served, the amount charged and what you get is very sad!
Way over priced ala cart and main dish, very disappointing!
will not go back for 2nd dinner, cancelled
Exceptional food and service.
The Osso Bucco w Risotto is a must.
The Fettuccini w white truffle oil and topped a very generous portion of black truffles is amazing. Nothing you have ever had before.
Wine - Arndt Cellars Merlot 2016
Our Server Shelby went out of her way to make us feel special. Thank you
We went for a late dinner after a day of wine tasting. We had the white truffle risotto and wild boar papardelle, both excellent. Loved the atmosphere, seemed a very popular spot. We were wined out from the day so didn’t order any wine. Our server seemed disengaged. The staff there have a efficient system for a busy restaurant. Would recommend.
We absolutely enjoyed our experience and will come back on our next visit to Oaso Robles. Server was wonderful, attentive and able to answer all of our questions. Thank you.
Hands down the best meal my husband and I have had in SUCH a long time. Worth every penny and we cannot wait to be back.
Every bite of food was delicious! The wait staff was helpful with knowing how much food to order
