Nice restaurant. Pretty good food. Excellent service.
Love spinach salad
Penne pasta with shrimp great /pesto
We had a wonderful evening, excellent service, excellent food!
Il Corso is a must on every trip we make to NYC. We plan our lodging and activities around dining at this exquisite restaurant.
Was OK but it took forever to get the check and they were not that busy
Friendly staff, excellent food, ravioli was some of the best we’ve had
Every time we are in NY we dine several times at Il Corso. Excellent food and very good service
We had a wonderful dining experience as always!!! Love the delicious food and love the exceptional service!!!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true NYC experience!
I love this place very good food and service. I will be back for more.
Food amazing! Pasta great Brunello wine yummy
I'm pretty picky with Italian restaurants, but this one was solid. Would definitely go again.
We had dinner at Il Corso for our mother’s 88th birthday before a Broadway show. Great ambiance! Great food! Intimate, quiet setting!
Great meal and service was extraordinary. Non discript from outside but a gem inside!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in NY. Great food and outstanding service in a low key atmosphere.
The food at this gem is wonderful! The staff is attentive and the entire experience was great! I recommend this restaurant for any occasion!
Underrated Italian dining in Midtown. Homemade pasta and sauces are delicious, and service is warm and first class.
This was our first time at Il Corso. Everything was delightful. The staff knowledgeable and friendly, the ambiance was lovely but the food was divine. I asked for a quiet table when I made the reservation because we were celebrating an anniversary. We were at a sweet table tucked in a corner. The pasta was homemade and delicious. The mushroom risotto with truffles was dreamy. The wait staff was perfectly attentive. Not too much, just right. The price was very affordable. Our new favorite Italian restaurant moving forward. Thank you for a memorable evening. ❤️
Il Corso is a lovely Midtown Italian restaurant. The food is excellent; the service is, too. The menu had a variety of main course entres: pasta, meat and fish. Instead of one of the offered appetizers, I shared the pasta special with a friend - delicious ravioli. My fish entre was perfectly cooked; my friend really enjoyed the short ribs. My recent dinner at Il Corse was the second one I had there, the first being a few years ago. However, I'll go back again - and highly recommend it to others - soon.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Il Corso. We shared the salad of pistachios, grilled cauliflower and goat cheese cream. Delish! We also had the fried antipasto with calamari, shrimp, artichokes and dates. Very good, especially loved the dates. The only reason I didn't give 5* for food was my husband's entree. He ordered the special pappardelle with pork belly ragu. The pasta was perfect but the pork belly was all pieces of rubbery fat; no pork at all. I had cacio e pepe which was divine; reminded me of Rome. Recommend the Nutella tarte with ice cream, it was very good. And above all, the service was wonderful from everyone.
Highly recommend trying this restaurant and we will definitely return.
Love this place, recommended by our concierge at the Peninsula last time we stayed. Now our favorite Authentic Italian hot spot when we visit the city! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️S all the way!! Owner is very personable and friendly, staff is incredible, food is unbelievable!
I picked Il Corso because it was near where I was staying and was well rated. It lived up to its billing. Superb fresh, home made mozzarella in the Buratta, wonderful veal Milanese. A superb neighborhood find. I'll be back.
Food was bizarre. Everything was very fried and dry. Felt sick the entire next day because of how unnecessarily rich and breaded everything was. Ended up paying $185 for the meal which was maybe a $75 quality level.
Lovely restaurant with great service. The ambience was nice although this place is small so the noise level is quite high. I would recommend this delicious Italian restaurant to anyone who is looking for a high quality and affordable dinning experience in midtown.
Incredible Cacio e pepe served in a parmesan crisp! Authentic Roman Flavor!
I chose this restaurant because the menu looked good and it was a short walk from the theater where we had just seen a Sunday matinee show. They did not disappoint. We were immediately greeted upon entering and the hostess has our reservation waiting. The service was very attentive but not overbearing even though the restaurant was not very crowded. our appetizers arrived promptly and piping hot. We both had pasta for entrees and they were excellent too. I would definitely go back.
I absolutely loved the food here! Very fast service, but it is a bit small and crowded. The night I went, it was a bit loud as well.
Great neighborhood place, close to City Center with great service and good food at moderate prices for the location. Pastas are all home made and portions are adequate. Staff are all lovely to deal with.
Fabulous service and food. Ambience is hindered by imperfect acoustics. Owner/manager Gennaro does a great job of interacting with customers and maintaining service quality
We go here at least one when we visit the city.
Service was friendly and pleasant. We had a great table and it wasn't too noisy. The pasta was homemade and perfectly cooked.
We shared the pasta with mushrooms and prosciutto. Also the salmon dish. I thought the sauce on the pasta could use a little more flavor, but the perfectly cooked pasta and the super hot temperature made up for it. We loved the vegetable salad too with fennel wrapped in cucumber. It was very nicely displayed on the plate. The bread was hot and delicious. We were too full for dessert. Altogether we had delightful evening on a cold night in NYC.
It’s a no brainer to have pasta at an Italian restaurant.
I expect it to be good, cooked al dente with good sauce. Would it be too much to ask that the rest of the menu be above board also?
I hold all restaurants to a high standard whether it be celebrity chef owned to mom and pop.
Avoid the short ribs in this restaurant; it’s dry and tasteless, doesn’t warrant the 38.50 price tag.
Beware of upselling by wait staff also.
Stick with the pasta.
The food was great, but the service was fantastic! Ewa was the best!!!
I visited Il Corso with my fiance for dinner after a broadway show. They had amazing service and even better food! There was such a great selection of food that I couldn't decide which pasta dish to choose! My water glass was never left empty and we were offered more bread (which I love). The waiters were attentive without being overbearing and I appreciate that so much. Our food came out delicious and we left with our stomachs full.
So happy I chose Il Corso!
Love Il Corso!
We are avid seekers of good Italian restaurants. Have lived in Italy and when traveling are always on the look out for good restaurants. I would rate this restaurant between fair and good. The appetizers (octopus, burrata and mozzarella di buffala) were fine, but nothing extraordinary; clearly you cannot always match what you'd get in Italy but we have eaten better in other US italian places (several in little Italy in Boston, for example). Pasta is definitely not their best (ordered lobster pasta and seafood pasta, both good but not great - clearly far from the pasta of this kind that you can get in a truly Napolitan restaurant elsewhere in the US). What was very good was the risotto. The ambience and customer service were good (had three kids in our party and they accommodated and treated us well). From a cost-quality perspective, I think we would go elsewhere next time in NYC and probably would not recommend it to a friend (since there are so many options in NYC, it is very likely that for this cost, one can get tastier food). Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad place, it is just not the kind of place that will be memorable.
Great risotto and carpaccio! My husband was pleased with the lasagna . Excellent service!
Always have a great meal there and the staff are always friendly and responsive. Special requests were accommodated. We were not rushed and the food was paced well.
While this was date night for my wife and I, it has been a place where I have gone with my family as well.
We did not need reservations for a 5 pm party of 6. It was constantly busy but no long wait. It was 10 blocks from the Theatre District and so worth the walk. The food was fabulous and so was the wait staff. We all had a different meals and no one was disappointed. The portion size was perfect and the deserts well we were stuffed but still made a point to have the wonderful chocolate cake. They were small in size but just right for two people to share. The Risotto was spectacular. To wrap this review in one word "SPECTACULAR"!!!
Amazing dining experience. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Great value. Will eat here again. Best dinner date we have been on in a while. Will be back again. We are are still talking about it 3 days later. Great spot.
Il Corso was recommended to us by Cynthia, a bartender at the Hilton. We're so glad we listened to her. Excellent service and very impressive food. We'll be back when we're back in New York. Recommended.
An excellent dinner. A comfortable and delicious restaurant. One of my favorites.
