Il Corso (New York City)
They chose to name their restaurant "Il Corso" because it means "the path". Their goal is to guide their clients on a path to a wonderful experience.
We pride ourselves on selecting the finest ingredients for our recipes. In addition to our menu, we offer daily specials that your server will present to you.
Il Corso's warm, cozy ambiance is complimented by an exquisite selection of moderately priced wines, full bar and nurtured by a friendly and knowledgeable staff serves.
Great meal and service however acoustics in dining room made it very difficult to have a conversation.
Fabulous Italian, on the pricey side but worth it for a treat.
It was my wife birthday.
It was just OK. I had great expectations. Party of 4, two meals were good- Bolognese and fusilli w/sausage. Two were not good - flat tube noodles with lobster/brandy sauce (over cooked lobster and fishy sauce), Veal ragu special (no taste). Appetizer special Arancini balls were terrible - no flavor.
My first visit to this restaurant - great food and terrific service; delicious squash soup followed by halibut. The waiter was unusually friendly and helpful. Noise level was very reasonable. Strongly recommend.
This is a small intimate Italian restaurant located close to Radio City Music Hall. The food was good, but the portions are quite small. We loved the ambience and will return.
Excellent food with great service. Always a pleasure. Had the Bisteca Fiorentine and it was perfect.
Let's say that you are visiting mid-town Manhattan in New York City and you want some memorably great Italian food from some little local place that isn't a chain, but you don't want to fall into some expensive tourist trap either. Your answer very well could be Il Corso, which is one of those very small places (reservations usually necessary) which has truly outstanding food and wine at a very reasonable price. Their lasagna is, quite frankly, markedly better than any that I encountered while touring Italy and is of the melt-in-your mouth varietal. Highly recommended, though noting that it is not going to be good for large or even moderately-sized parties -- probably 4 or 5 is about all you'll be able to squeeze in, as it is a very cozy and romantic place, and not a place aimed at corporate America. Oh, and portion sizes are not small so don't plan on going for a jog afterwards.
Everything was wonderful
Absolutely fantastic food and great service. I was incredibly impressed.
We had a perfect lunch. Thank you!

Great restaurant with friendly staff. Food is excellent. You’ll need to book ahead to be sure of a table.
Super nice staff. Great food.
Lovely little restaurant. We loved the vibe as soon as we arrived. Nice music playing, happy looking servers (which is what I look for immediately).
We started with a cocktail and didn’t feel rushed to order. So we enjoyed our drinks. We had the burrata to start , I would recommend highly. My husband had the veal pasta special and I had
Il Corso was a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, quiet, and wonderful food. The whole staff is great and accommodating. Genaro took wonderful care of us all evening.
My new favorite Italian in midtown.
Una delicia de sitio. La comida deliciosa y con una gran relación calidad y precio.
Lo mejor el servicio, sin duda. El cuidado que pone con el cliente el equipo humano de Il Corso es ejemplar.
I love this restaurant! I have not been back in quite some time but as soon as we got the first course I remembered why I loved it in the first place. I met a friend for dinner and we shared an appetizer of grilled octopus with white beans which was awesome. Then we split Home made spinach and cheese ravioli in a lemon wine sauce as a second course and finally split an entrée of the special branzino with broccoli rab. The food was wonderful. The waiter was attentive and very courteous in helping us decide to share the meal as three courses as well as even suggested we share a second glass of wine because neither of us wanted a whole second glass. The dishes were split for us in the kitchen and served on two plates which was a lovely touch. I wish more restaurants would do that.
Good food but not great food. Everything was tasty enough but not as tasty as other reviews suggested it would be. Therefore it was not a good value. We would look for a different Italian restaurant in midtown on another visit.
IL Corso has been a great favorite for about 15 years. It is predictably wonderful and is always a destination when coming to NY from Washington DC. It is now a favorite of my friendds' too!!! We always order at least one antipasti to share; this time, the carpaccio and had the pappardelle di cinghiale and I think the risotto of the day and then we both had the perfectly prepared veal Milanese. A true delight start to finish. Plus dessert!!!
Delicious and romantic
Food is worth the noise!! Get the cacio e pepe, best I've ever had!
Our food was really, really delicious. The orata was outstanding as was the veal. Noisy at the back.
Il Corso never disappoints. Reliable service, very good food and reasonable prices. I’ve been lunching at Il Corso for almost 20 years... from their previous location across the street to their present address. They are happily predictable.
We had my anniversary dinner atIll Corso. The service and food was delicious. A great place to celebrate
Ate an early dinner after getting into the city . My butternut squash ravioli wasn’t very warm although it was tasty enough . Bread served was not high quality . My husband had halibut special which he enjoyed . Nothing special , better restaurants in the area . Service was fine .
Amazing Italian!! We have eaten all over the world and this place is truly a gem!!
The best Italian restaurant we have found in midtown Manhatten.
Excellent food! Very kind and accommodating service. Wonderful spot. Greta for well behaved kids. Would definitely go again!
Been there twice and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Some friends took me the first time and then I took my friends.
This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants which we frequent each time we visit NY. Great food, service and wine list!
I am from Seattle and come to this restaurant every time I am in New York. I love how quaint it is but still with a nice energy. Service is awesome as is the food. Actually went here two nights in a row this trip! Love this place.
Food was delicious and once we got our waiters attention he was great.
Wonderful food, service and overall experience. Fast service for a Friday night in midtown.
Nourriture excellente. Surprise toutefois qu’ils aient ajouté automatiquement un pourboire de 18% sur la facture, malgré le fait que nous n’étions que 4. Habituellement cela se fait pour les groupes de 6 personnes et +
Still love it after 20+ years coming here. Always a go to place.
The service at Il Corso is gracious and attentive. The food is generally fresh, nicely prepared and plated. The setting is not grand but is perfectly pleasant. However when I last dined there, for the first time in a half dozen visits, the sound level was painful and continuous. (There is a rear dining room where the sound level maybe more bearable.) I will hope that was an aberration.
Always enjoy this place. Food is excellent with high quality ingredients. Service very efficient and dining room quiet and comfortable.
