Il Corso (New York City)
They chose to name their restaurant "Il Corso" because it means "the path". Their goal is to guide their clients on a path to a wonderful experience.
We pride ourselves on selecting the finest ingredients for our recipes. In addition to our menu, we offer daily specials that your server will present to you.
Il Corso's warm, cozy ambiance is complimented by an exquisite selection of moderately priced wines, full bar and nurtured by a friendly and knowledgeable staff serves.
Loved the restaurant ! Fabulous however the back dining area can get very loud and there was one table that made it even worse. Not sure what staff could have done. Tough situation. I would eat next time in the front bar area.
Delicious food, nice wine list, excellent service. We always have a meal here when in the city.
Food was not as good as we hoped and it was very expensive.
First time trying this adorable restaurant. Great service and ambiance. The food was excellent and although, we arrived earlier than our reservation, we were seated right away. We will definitely dine here again and have already recommended it to friends.
Warm and welcoming. The service is terrific. Very nice wine by the glass. The food is delicious and portions are the right size. Everyone seems to be having good time here always.
Il Corso is wonderful!! Terrific service, authentic & delicious food, lovely and relaxed. The salmon tartare special was so fresh and flavorful, and the cacio e pepe - beautifully served in a frico shell - was one of the best I've ever had (including those in Rome!). A quiet escape in busy midtown... I can't wait to return.
Pasta was hot and not overcooked but plate was cold so dish become cold to soon. I like to eat slowly.
There were 3 of us and we all had different pasta dishes. Everyone enjoy their own. My Cacio e Pepe was delicious...cooked perfectly and presented in a parmigiana shell...beautiful. We had 2 desserts...Creme Brulee and Tiramisu - delicious. I felt the price was slightly high...but the food was excellent and we would definitely return!
Wonderful experience as we dined on a Sunday afternoon at Il Corso! From apps, to dinner and fine wine. Certainly will repeat when back in the city!
gran restaurante en NYC. muy buena comida, muy logrado los platos y buena carta de vinos.
Very nice little Italian restaurant with very good service.
Last minute dinner change and could not have happier. Food was great ambiance was great. I’ll definitely be back. I found a new favorite Italian restaurant
Always a wonderful experience. Fabulous food, great personal service and a cozy ambiance.
Everything was very good. Would recommend and return in the future.
The food was quite good. The spaghetti di mare was excellent and the plate for shells was nice. Not every place does that (don't know why). The beet salad was enjoyed by others at the table. The wine they helped us pick out was a nice accompaniment to the meal. We went there based on a Google recommendation ("We're at MOMA, what's a good place nearby for lunch?") and I had a little sticker shock. I wouldn't call this a 2-$ place. More like 3-$. Not NYC, not outrageous by any means, but a bit more than we were looking for in the moment. I would go back.
Amazing meal!! Everyone was so accommodating, from seating us 20 minutes earlier than our reservation time, to helping the two young picky eaters in our party to find something they would enjoy. When I come back to NYC, I will definitely be coming here! There were so many items on the menu I still want to try, but it will be hard to not get the fettuccine with mushrooms and pancetta or the pasta with the pistachio cream sauce. Both items were amazing along with the other 5 entrees our party ordered. Thank you for a special evening after our Broadway show!
Great food and fast service if you are going to City Center for a performance.
Very lovely restaurant, delicious and beautifully prepared food. Very nice staff. Great location in midtown. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in delicious Italian food. Being Italian, I am a little fussy about food not prepared by me, it was just perfect!
Lasagna was fantastic
Had a wonderful meal and evening. Food was amazing and service was excellent. Someone else commented calling it a Neighborhood gem, couldn’t agree more, will definitely be back and highly recommend!!
I can't say enough about Il Corso. They have been a steadfast, consistent, high quality experience for the past 20 years that I have been coming here.
Professional wait staff (thanks Pablo) and outstanding food. The pistachio pasta and lasagna (not at all routine) were wonderful! Will he back.
Good Italian food.
the food was really good, little bit expensive but that is expected, good quality and service
Our go to Italian. Consistently fine food. Wonderful service.
2nd time dining there now on our favourite list when in NY!
Amazing food & very friendly service. A must do!
Small but comfortable restaurant. Good food and excellent service. We felt it was quite pricey but maybe this is normal for NY (we’re from Europe). Overall, an enjoyable meal.
Very quaint trattoria that gives one an authentic experience to dining in Italy. I think they got it just right!
Great food - especially the pasta and seafood. Excellent service. Cozy feel.
Food was pretty solid, though lasagna, which was recommend was very soggy. Branzino was tasty but came out room temperature. The seafood pasta was probably best dish ordered, nice subtle flavoring.
Serves was very slow.
Excellent little find in midtown; perfect "al dente" pasta, delicious sauces, fairly quiet place, though we were seated near the bathroom (and the place is small, it's hard NOT to be seated near the bathroom). Will come back for more.
The food was okay but nothing special. We have eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants and we not impressed with the food. It is also a pricey meal.
We celebrate the Christmas eve at Il Corso and the experience was amazing. The food was really good, the ambient very nice and the wine very special. We would definitely be back there or recommend to everyone who is looking for a nice wine and pasta.
Il Corso id just a gem - great food, always amazing specials if the extensive menu wasn’t enough... Wonderful team that provides best in class service. Never disappoints!
First rate service with amazing food and an excellent wine recommendation.
Amazing pasta, especially the Cacio e Pepe. They were so accommodating despite us having two toddlers with us. Food was excellent all around. Reasonable prices for that area of the city.
Food was excellent and staff friendly
--very good fresh food. Fresh Pasta is the best ! Attentive service as always, well worth money spent
Excellent pastas and salads. Reservations are a must. Will return!
