For sit down dinners: Approx. 130-150 guests. For standing cocktail receptions: Up to 350 guests.
View Private Dining DetailsIl Cielo never disappoints. A classic that remains fresh and welcoming. The garden setting cannot be beat. Match that with impeccable service and a very nice wine list. The waiter even guided us to a lovely Italian red that was very moderately priced and a great find.
The Branzino is not to be missed, although the various pastas are extremely tasty.
Il Cielo makes the case that old restaurants deserve our patronage, because they offer a relevant dining experience in a world where there are too many flashes in the pan.

Il Cielo is always a solid evening. They have wonderful dishes (I had the Tagliolini al Frutti de Mare, which had a light wine sauce and plenty of delicious shellfish choices). Pasquale Vericella has a terrific, intimate establishment that never fails. Great service as well. A fine evening.
Tonight was our 3rd anniversary, and Il Cielo did not disappoint on making for a very special evening. Nino took exceptional care of us as did the whole support staff, we felt like the only people there. I don't often leave reviews, but they deserve it. Cliches are cliches for a reason, and Il Cielo for a romantic dinner is no exception.
Really bad service. My waiter brought the bottom portion of a wine bottle and poured it in my glass, didn’t even fill a third and tried to pawn that off on me. Not only did it taste terrible, but it was a short pour. As pricey as this restaurant is, there should’ve been a new bottle and a healthy pour.
After that incident, my waiter was nonexistent, had to ask other attendants for everything else, didn’t see him again until the bill, needless to say, a very bad tip. I won’t be back.
Antonio was and is always fantastic and truly one of the reasons we keep coming back. Thank you again!
Incredible experience. Couldn’t have been better. Can’t wait to come back!
The manager was extremely courteous. The servers were quick, and attentive. The entrees tasted amazing! A all around great restaurant, and experience.
I went to Il Cielo with my two friends for my birthday. We all loved the food, the ambiance and the location. It's definitely a grown folks restaurant with very grown prices. I paid $26 for seven tortellini. But I would go again.
My two sisters and I were extremely well pleased by the atmosphere, food and the very attentive service. We will return.
Lovely ambience very attentive service and delicious food. What more can one wish for? To be visited again and again.
I’m Italian and I’m very picky on Italian food but this one is AMAZING !!!! I felt like I was back in Italy ! Great service and really amazing food ! Totally Worth it !!!
Great food and service! Waiter was very helpful with recommendations!
Perfect venue for a romantic anniversary dinner.
Very romantic. Great food. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Not a great experience. Had a $450 meal for 3. Food was ok..but nothing special. Steak was dry. Waited for 45 minutes for entrees after salads whike watching others aroubd us order and then be served first. Add another super long wait for our check, despite asking for it twice after habing waited for a disappointing dinner. We had heard this was small and intimate, but we were stuck right at the kitchen with nothing but a plant blocking the sound. They yelled and slammed things constantly.
The service and food was great. The vibe was very romantic.
very romantic ambiance
Cozy, charming and wonderful cuisine...all in all a great restaurant that I go to often
Had amazing time
Anniversary
It had been a couple of years since my wife and had the chance to dine at Il Cielo - it had been our anniversary go-to spot. After a few years away, we decided to return to one of the "most romantic places" in Los Angeles, and we were not disappointed. Despite it being Valentines Day weekend, there was no drop off in service or ambiance. Some places in the city tend to overbook or overdo themselves on special occasions, but that was not the case this weekend at Il Cielo. The food, as always, was delicious, but the service is what we will remember the most. Again, despite the restaurant being fairly packed because of the "holiday," our host Pascuale and our server Marco were incredible - friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations for both food and drink. They made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant, which was really nice. I can't say that we can afford to go there all the time, but we certainly aren't going to stay away so long.
The setting is beautiful, very special. The food is excellent food and attentive service.
Love this restaurant. Staff is all amazing and the owner is so welcoming. Always our go to place for a romantic dinner.
Great ambiance. Awesome staff. We went for the V Day dinner. Not good. Food was sub-par to say the least. I will go back to try it during normal business hours because of all the positive reviews. But our food was not good. I got the filet. My fiancé ordered the Chilean she bass. Both were way over cooked. Two great dishes ruined bc they were probably sitting on the kitchen warmer somewhere in the kitchen. Not worth the $ 400 we spent. I’ll go elsewhere next year.
Love everything a kit this place.
Ambiance is the wonderful, especially on the front patio. Food is very good, although pricey.
Wine list is very pricey, with few choices at the lower end although you can do well if you know your wines. Even thought the place was not at all crowded, we had to wait an inordinately long time for our waiter to bring menus, ask if we would like wine, bring the check and then take the credit card payment, which we finally gave to the manager as waiter was nowhere to be found.
Took my girlfriend here for our anniversary, we dressed very nice and I'm not sure if it was whether we looked young (we are both 25) or whether it was due to the fact that we both are not white, but the service was sub par the entire night. We walk in the door and I had to greet the host instead of them greeting me, we were seated at probably the worst table in the restaurant (right next to the entrance, with the highest amount of traffic). It was about 15 minutes before we got any menus, not even a drink menu, but one of the water guys came and gave us two glasses. When we finally got service it felt like our waiter thought we couldn't afford anything on the menu, so I ordered the most expensive champagne to spite him. Got one check in after our food came and I had to ask a busser for the check since our waiter was no where to be found. Overall the food was excellent and the environment is very romantic, especially the outdoor seating. To me the service is half the experience and can ruin a dinner, I wouldn't recommend this place for that reason.
The overall sentiment would be "underwhelming". The restaurant is marketed as the most romantic restaurant in LA, but in reality the service is ok, the food is bland & overpriced and the atmosphere is tacky at best.
Muy buena. Regrese despues de 29 años y sigue estando hermoso y bueno
Memorable for the poor service--had to wait then flag down manager for menus, cocktail order, and water. Never received bread. Long delay between order and meals being placed on table. Waiter should tell ordering guest that special fish would cost $58.
Expect the poor service was a function of a private party, but that is no excuse.
Excellent Italianate food in a romantic surrounding. Our server did an amazing job of filleting the branzino which was cooked to perfection. One of LA's romantic restaurants with an indoor/outdoor feel.
absolutely fabulous dishes, and the staff is top notch!
This restaurant is simply incredible- beautiful, authentic, service oriented and delicious. The team is brilliantly focused on satisfying your palate and experience. Kudos!
Delicious food and great service! A bit pricey but worth it!
The best food we've had in several years! Everything about the restaurant was wonderful -- delicious, creative food, great service, beautiful ambiance! We'll be returning frequently. It's fairly expensive, but well worth it!
Massimo our server gave my wife and me an unexpected romantic afternoon lunch. Healthy, tasty and refined. I can’t wait to go back
Very enjoyable dining experience ----- Cocktails very good, food excellent, service very good/attentive/professional. Ambiance inside and exterior very nice, noise level better than most these days. Table spacing very good.
Sitting outside under the plastic cover with the tinkling lights set a great mood. Also fitting 8 of us at a round table encouraged total conversation among the group and service was food too. This is a perfect place for a romantic dinner.
The food was very good
The dineLA menu was very good. Excellent environment
It's great as usual. I'm Italian 100%, moved to Los Angeles a few years ago and I can say that it's authentic.
