Awesome experience! Bartender, food and service were amazing! My business guest read reviews and he as expecting a “romantic setting” but we had a fantastic meal and can tell the locals come here often for a very good reason!

Absolutely one of my favorite Italian restaurants in New York that I always visit when here on business or holiday. From the moment you walk in the Host makes you feel like family, and the same vibe goes for the entire team there. Ambiance is moody and romantic, and the pastas are some of the best I’ve ever had. Thanks for another great meal, can’t wait for my next visit!

I had the cod it was excellent and the artichokes, food is excellent and ambiance is beautiful! If your looking for a high end Italian restaurant this is it, more expensive than others but the quality is there!

Superb table. Service was excellent. Meal was outstanding - alio olio pasta and the Dover Sole, which I had been missing. The chicken entrée offered on the menu is off the charts wonderful. Sadly could not make room for pudding but espressos were perfect. So good to see Frank and Willy.

I’ve been coming to a Il Cantinori for many years, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been here, and it still is the best there is! All the pastas are perfect, fish steak, are all wonderful! I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I have been dining at Il Cantinori since the 80’s and even though we have lived in Chicago for the past 30 years we still love coming to this wonderful restaurant whenever we are back in the city. We dined here several weeks ago and were thrilled by the food and service we received. It also seems that every time we come to the restaurant we meet major celebrities and once again this was the case. A well known star from the neighborhood stopped by our table and chatted on his way out (not sure how he picked us but it was fantastic). Going again for my wife’s birthday in a couple weeks. Can’t wait😀

Me cuesta entender como hay tantos comentarios sobre la.excelencia de este sitio. El lugar es ruidoso, casi al punto de no poder escucharse, la mesa es incomoda, sillas duras, panera mediocre con una entrada tristisima. Los cockteles son amateurs, en mi vida tone un bloddy Mary tan mal hecho. La comida un detalle aparte. Me trajeron un simple plato se ńoquis pasadisimos, casi que eran un puré. Pregunte amablemente si era habitual servirlos así y me dijeron que si. Me los volvieron a traer y nuevamente iguales, tras lo cual admitieron que se habían preparado mal desde el inicio. Finalmente me cambiaron el plato por unos regatonis con boloñesa. Les faltaba sal en la cocción, la salsa era insípida e insignificante. El plato de mi esposa, unos tallarines con brocoli era tan vulgar en su concepción que daba pena verlo. Gastamos usd 200 por una pasta incomible. El servicio del camarero excelente, el pobre.no sabía dónde esconderse. Imposible volver.
