Il Cantinori, located in Greenwich Village, has been at the forefront of Tuscan cuisine in NYC since its opening in 1983. This old farmhouse with a rustic warmth, stucco walls, wooden beams and voluminous floral arrangements is very romantic and elegant. We combine the unique traditional flavors of the Tuscan countryside with a complete seasonal lunch and dinner menu. We welcome guests with affectionate hospitality, daily specials and a wine list reflective of the northern Italian regions.

                                              Food is always good but, our server was very inattentive…he didn’t take our order until we had been sitting there waiting for 30 minutes and then said “so do you want to hear our specials?” Was bizarre.

                                              VERY PRICEY, which makes me expect exquisite service and food. The food was okay (I think I could have made my dish better!). Service without a smile. Loud atmosphere. I hate to say it, because this place was always a favorite, BUT will probably never go back. It just wasn't worth the price!

                                              The food and service were good. The space is small and the tables are crammed in. We were a table of 2 at 615 and they stuck us at a small table against the wall that barely had enough room for our plates. Meanwhile there were multiple 4 tops empty even when we left at 8pm so go figure? The food was very good but I felt very cramped and probably wouldn’t go back for that reason.

                                              This was our 44th anniversary. We flew to NY and dined at Il Cantinori. 5 stars I. Everything! And then the waiters came and sang a rousing rendition of “Amore” and brought us a beautiful Dessert! Thank you everyone!

                                              Fantastic! Wonderful! We travel to New York City about every 8 to 10 weeks and try a new restaurant every time. We usually don't repeat restaurants but this one we will. Everything was perfect.
