Il Buco is a very pleasant place. The food is good and the staff is professional and personable.
This place is fantastic, excellent food, good service, noise level low. Highly recommended.
As usual, everything was excellent. Authentic Italian food and attentive service. One of Los Angeles' best Italian restaurants.
The food and service were GREAT! My friend and I met for dinner before an event at the WGA theater, and was so pleased with this choice. It seemed a little pricey, but service was excellent (very attentive, and so courteous and professional), and we did have wine and dessert, so maybe not as expensive as my brain is telling me it was.
Warm friendly greeting and very attentive staff. Good mix of salads, antipastas pastas and specials. Recommend the Branzini. Nice wine list, well priced.
Always, consistently, steadfastly authentic! if you are lucky you may experience the lasagna! It's all very good Italian food
They really now how to serve great food and provide an adult ambience which is lost on the majority of the trendy, hipster driven establishments in Los Angeles.
This is a casual neighborhood Italian restaurant that is quiet enough for visiting with friends. Good food with plenty of choices, fairly priced wine, a full house and unrushed but attentive service led to a dining experience that ended up being the perfect atmosphere for lingering over desert and coffee and quiet conversation as our Saturday evening wound down. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we stayed until almost 10:00. We will always come back because it is a comfortable and enjoyable experience overall.
Food was excellent!! A bit pricey, but well worth it. We didn't know it at the time, but my son's wallet had fallen out of his pocket in the booth. We had left the restaurant and were walking down Wilshire Blvd. when the waiter came running down the street with the wallet. You can't beat that!!! I would recommend Il Buco to anyone.
excellent as always
It was all wonderful.
We enjoyed a dinner with friends recently at Il Buco. We have been here many times before and the food is consistently good. The only negative is that the prices are rather high. Of course, it's in Beverly Hills, but similar restaurants in the area are not as pricey.
We went here on New Year’s Eve with friends, a party of 7 before going to a rooftop party to celebrate. Just hoping for a good meal & easy to order from the menu. This place was a great surprise! They were decorated for New Year’s Eve with balloons & passed out hats & horns too, but the best thing was the food here was amazing. We expected pizza but had none instead the pastas & their specials were all so delicious even the salads. We turned are LA friends onto a new spot for them! This is a true Italian gem with good service & great food for a good price! Try the lasagna!
Food and service were excellent. Very attentive waitstaff. It is a from scratch kitchen so you they are able to modify the menu choices according to your preferences
The dining room is attractive and comfy
They do have to spruce up there restrooms. The restrooms need a complete overhaul, at minimum ,they need to be painted
amazing night of food, the staff was great and we loved everything. thank you very much.
The food at Il Buco is reliably delicious and the service is excellent. The maitre d' is the epitome of hospitality. We go over and over again.
Lovely little Italian restaurant tucked into Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. Owner was delightful, the food was terrific, robust wine list, very European feel.
The biggest problem with that location is the lack of parking at lunch time.
We have been to Il Buco before. The food is delicious, the service lovely, and it's a wonderful place to be able to have a conversation. It's quiet! It did not disappoint. The only negative is that the pricing is a bit high. But, certainly for a special occasion, it is a great place to eat.
Love the food. Our guests were impressed. Price reasonable considering it's Beverly Hills. Service was great. Will definitely recommend this place.
Food was mediocre at best; service was rude and unrefined.
After a first successful dinner a year ago, we decided to return to il Buco out with some friends. The experience turned out to be very disappointing. The service was rushed and incompetent. Drink orders came out wrong, the linguini al vongole was dry, the caprese was underwhelming and poorly presented. These are mistakes that should not occur in a restaurant of this caliber, and that those prices.
Il Buco is a wonderful neighborhood gem for a quiet dinner -- good food and good service in a pleasant atmosphere with your choice of convenient street parking or valet service. If you try Il Buco you'll undoubtedly return again.
My dining partner and I returned for the dish that made fans of us on our first visit, the Mushroom-Stuffed Gnocchi With Truffle Sauce, but it was not available! Oh No! What now?! Well, with the guidance of our excellent server, our "second choice" selections turned out to be absolutely brilliant. As we devoured our Linguine Amatriciana, and Spaghetti Involtini, followed by a shared Torta Mele dessert, all three of which were mind bogglingly delicious, we grateful for being forced to branch out.
The service here is seasoned and top notch -- very friendly and gracious too. So, no need to be shy about asking for suggestions, or adjustments to ingredients. I had a delicious dish of spinach & ricotta ravioli (with truffle cream sauce) that wasn't even on the menu. My dining partner's salmon was cooked to absolute perfection and served on a refreshing green salad. This is my second visit to Il Buco after being introduced to it last week. I'm completely sold!
As always, the best! Good food, great service, and quiet conversation. It doesn’t get any better.
I consider this my local, as I can walk here. It's a lovely Italian restaurant with a great ambience, the manager and staff know us as we're either ordering from here to pick up, or eating at the restaurant (once or twice a week sometimes!).
My son loves the steak, and their thin margarita pizza is really good. I've tried several of their pasta dishes, all decent, and their salmon was excellent too.
Il Buco is a solid neighborhood restaurant, both for everyday dining and special occasions.
This was my first time at Il Buco, and I definitely got the impression that they were not new to the rodeo. Right away, upon meeting the very seasoned, professional staff, I was filled with confidence that the meal was going to be great. I'm not an easy sell when it comes to gnocchi, but once in a while I've had my mind blown by it (at a couple of other places in LA and one in Chicago). Now, I can declare that Il Buco's gnocchi is officially and without a doubt the best I've ever had in my life! It's a mushroom-stuffed affair, with a truffle cream sauce. KILLER!!! Their clam linguine was excellent too. My dining partner and I were ecstatic over our lunch!
Great food and wonderful service. Love the bread and their house brand olive oil cannot be beat!
We ate here prior to a screening at the Academy. The food was great. We had the gnocchi which was very good, a pizza and a salad. The perfect pre theatre meal. The wine selection is great and the service was very fast and efficient. We highly recommend.
As always it was terrific. On of our very favorite places
Always a great choice. Can't beat the food or the service.
We love Il Buco. We eat here at least once a month. It was our anniversary and this was a perfect choice.
We loved our meal, waiter and food. What more can you ask. We will be back.
The pizza there is one of the best pizza I've ever eaten hands down!! The service was sloooow.. but the food made up for all of it!!!! Everything we ordered was delicious!! But the pizza, totally to die for!!!
Ever, the manager is a delight. Always makes us feel at home. This is our go to spot for delicious dining in a quiet environment.
Attentive service. Delicious and reasonably priced salads.
We took our granddaughters out for dinner, and we all totally enjoyed our food. The pasta dishes were excellent. One of us is gluten-free, and the restaurant prepared gluten-free pasta for him that was delicious. The adults each had a glass of chianti, which was excellent. And the restaurant was quiet--we could have a conversation with ease. Very enjoyable experience, although a bit pricey.
This is a convenient place for meals eaten around Academy screenings. But more than that, I have found the food to be very good and the service usually very nice (there was one exception, a woman maitre d' but only once was she in charge when I was there) and our favorite corner booth is very quiet. I have come back frequently when I find myself in that part of time.
Great food and ambiance, exceptional service. A delight.
