This was our first experience with Ike's. We loved the food - it was fabulous!! Our wait staff was attentive and competent. We had a fantastic evening and will choose Ike's again!
We enjoy Ike's- and we go very often. It is always a great time, great food, wonderful service, and we never feel rushed. The help is 'just right' and ready to also recommend menu or wine/cocktail to try. The prime rib is one of the best the twin cities offers. I have yet to try the ribs- but I hear very good things- so next visit (yup! Will be back again) the ribs are the pick.
Good time with friends. The best part was the cocktail. The food was okay. Not great, and not worth the price.
We have eaten in all areas of Ike's Minnetonka and love it all! This time we introduced some friends who had never been there before. We all had a great time, great food and great service, as usual. We have new converts to Ike's!
Prompt, effective, friendly server — appropriately priced appetizers and entre’s — tasty almondine walleye entre cooked to perfection ... tasty and flaky.,
Our party had appetizers, ribs, salads, steak, burgers. All were very good. Ribs and burgers were excellent. Some dishes are a bit pricey, but we splurged for Father's Day.
Father’s Day brunch was outstanding. Five is us. Seated immediately. Everybody had the family brunch which was more food than we could eat.
Great food, service and atmosphere providing a great location for your group!
Love the outdoor patio, perfect for a meal during the summer! Our server, Brian was stellar, however...took an hour to get our food, a fillet medium rare, and the walleye. The walleye was marginally warm, potatoes and vegetables cold. The fillet was cold and medium well. Obviously, our sever took it back. After another 25 minutes, second try, it was perfect! The manager came out and spoke to us, and basically apologized but made excuses for a big party on the inside of the restaurant. Not cool. Our server, Brian however, took full responsibility for the restaurant being a team, let us down and said they could do better. We used to dine at Ike’s on a fairly regular basis. The last three times we’ve been, we’ve unfortunately been disappointed. If not for our server we would never go back. The servers at Ike’s have always been stellar. The management and the kitchen in my opinion, has really declined, unfortunately.
Great wait staff! Restaurant was able to accommodate an additional person without a problem
Everyone had something different and we all loved what we had - especially the salmon and walleye
We highly recommend Ike's. The staff is excellent, and the food superb.
We split the special which was a steak and shrimp dish with noodles and a spicy sauce. It was excellent and just the right amount for two. We always start with the artichoke dip. The toast that accompanies the dish us always perfectly toasted. Our server, Aaron, is a great guy too.
Food was great and so was the service!
Visited on Wednesday evening celebrating anniversary...no welcome or any enthusiasm by hostess or waitress. Parking was atrocious...had to drive around and park block away. Observed other patrons park in take out by front door and watched them sit in bar area- order and eat in and remain after we left. Food ordered was hot, good but not worth the cost compared to many other fine restaurants in area. Big disappointment.
Mother’s 84th birthday lunch
My husband and I like Ikes' a lot; he especially loves Ike's burgers!
Last week I was getting together with girl friends for lunch and I suggested Ike's since neither one of them had been before. Everything was so delicious and the service was so great, they are now believers. The ambiance is great; bar or dining room. They make the BEST Manhattans too! Great wine selection!
Wonderful food and atmosphere! Also, the service was excellent!
Walleye was awesome ! Birthday dinner ! Great food and service. Sat outside . Very pleasant !
Great food, fantastic service . Would recommend to anyone
As always, had a great meal at Ike's. Service was great, food was very good. The restaurant is very loud, which made it hard to carry on a conversation.
We had a wonderful evening at Ike's - the food was delicious and service was excellent!
The weekend brunch is a very good deal. Everything tasted great. The Bloody Mary's are outstanding.
We have been to Ike’s many times. This time, being Easter, we expected a packed restaurant. It wasn’t, which surprised us. It surprised us even more when the food was well below our usual experience. The Caramel roll was over cooked on the outside and didn’t even look appetizing, also lacked caramel. When we received our family brunch, the sausage and bacon were also very over cooked. Cream Cheese and Chive eggs lacked Cream Cheese. Had the place been packed, this would have been a little more forgivable. Finally Allison, our wait person, was busy chatting away at the bar and in the kitchen all of our meal, it was hard to get refills on drinks.
This doesn’t sour us on Ike’s, we do like their family style brunch, but we will likely avoid it on holidays such as today.
We had driven past Ike’s 100s of times but never stopped and we are so glad we did. The atmosphere inside was energetic and yet cozy. The cocktails coming from the bar all looked delicious. We had a burger and the scallops. Both delicious. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. We will be stopping again!
This was our second visit and we will continue to come back. All the food we ordered was great - walleye, ribs, and burger. The walley is one of the best I have had. They use the Pickled Parrot rib rub which is really tasty. We were bummed that we had ordered the special (sea bass) and they ran out. But the service is really good and the manager came over and apologized and then the server gave us free dessert. We really like the atmosphere of cozy and casual and look forward to coming in the warmer months so we can eat on the deck. Ikes is now on our go-to list when we feel like eating out.
Our first time to Ike's in Minnetonka. Staff was friendly, our server Brian was attentive and very personable. We ordered a wide variety entree's, started with appetizers, homemade chips / guacamole, margarita pizza, both very good. Turkey Burger excellent, Salmon cooked to perfection, several ordered the scallops, ahi tuna sandwich and were pleased. We will be back again.
Ike's has great food and excellent service. It is a tad on the loud side, but all in all it's a great place.
My son and I sat by the big window There were 4 TV's above the bar we were pleasantly surprised when we were delivered a massive warm cinnamon roll.
10 minutes later the calamary arrived followed by the main course.
I ordered a Long Island ice tea and it was a 10 out of 10.
After we finished our meal we were stuffed so I ordered a strawberry cheesecake to go.
When the bill arrived it was accompanied with 4 Mini chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven.
After a 20% tip it was just under a $100.
We had a great time, can't wait to go back.
Have been there numerous times, the server was new and was not even informed of some basic information.
We were certainly trying to be nice, but the server should have been trained a little better.
We absolutely love going to Ikes for lunch on the weekend. The hamburgers are hand packed in there consistently juicy and delicious. The fries are thin and awesome. My favorite phrase of any other place. And starting with a cinnamon roll just makes the meal perfect. Additionally, we always have outstanding service. I strongly recommend Ike’s!!!
I had meatloaf. It felt like I was eating a slab of meat with cold sauce on it. The pear drink was flavorless. My mom and husband had hamburgers and said they were okay.
Great food and service. Beautiful restaurant. Would highly recommend the scallops.
The service was poor. The server rushed my party and was not friendly nor accommodating. The food was overpriced and bland. I ordered $24 meatloaf which i wantedto try because it was described as have a "chili sauce glaze" it had no chili sauce just plain with gravy. My party had to ask for drink and dessert menus because the server kept trying to give us the check " unless you still want something?" I spent $200 and the only bright spot was the specialty drinks. I will not go back.
Always a winner for a neighborhood spot. Great service....staff are friendly and competent
Overall an ok eperience due to the very good waiter and staff. Pecan roll quantity for eight was minimal. More would cost $5 per person. Eggs ordered were cold for at least four of us. Sides were good and were refilled promptly. Yes i might go back for brunch but will probably stick to dinner as never disappointed at dinnertime.
Hostess was rude and acted like we were an inconvenience to her... really made for a bad first impression.
But on a positive note, server was attentive and friendly, food was delish, and drinks were strong.
