   Madison was training our waitress and both were great! The food was DELICIOUS and the service was EXCELLENT. My friend and I were headed to our Sorority's Tea and needed to get in and out within an hour and we were able to do so. I highly recommend Ida Claire to anyone who desires DELICIOUS food.

   The quality of the food is declining. I have been coming here for years and have never had any issues until today. There was a bug on my chicken tenders, the biscuits tasted bitter, and some of the food was cold.

   This experience exceeded my expectations. We were seated in a timely matter after making reservations. Our server Matthew was amazingly awesome! The food was so delicious and the vibe was superb. 10/10!!

   I know I’ll identify myself writing this review and frankly I don’t care. Despite making a reservation for my mother, my boyfriend and I for brunch, we had table issues upon arriving and were told nothing was reserved and to just sit anywhere. Whatever, it worked out. The part that really irritated me was the staff’s attitude when we notified them that our appetizer plates and silverware were dirty before we had even used them. I’ll preface this by saying by not only is my mother a public health professional, but both of us nearly died 4 years ago after contracting a norovirus from improperly washed dishes at a different restaurant. The first staff member we notified visibly made a look like we were being melodramatic and making a big deal, followed by asking us “Really?” The next staff member, who actually was our waiter, had equally as lackadaisical of an attitude but at least didn’t accompany it with a dismissive remark. My mother and I’s unique personal experience aside bc I know that’s obviously not typical when encountering dirty dishes, it does highlight the importance of properly cleaning dishes and serving ware. So to be met with a lackadaisical attitude and dismissive, condescending remarks about something that should be taken seriously as a standard in the restaurant industry is not only concerning, but annoying and rude.

    Overall great food, ambience, and decent service. We had a bizarre incident when it came time to pay the check, though, when our server mixed up our bill. The couple next to us were given our bill and paid, and we were given their bill, which was more expensive than what we had ordered. Rather than void the bills, our server suggested we simply pay the more expensive bill to avoid having to void the transactions. The bill we should’ve paid was around $50, but our neighbor’s bill was $62. I guess not a huge difference, but we were still asked to pay more for a meal than it cost. I’d recommend Ida Claire have a refresher course in customer service for its wait staff, and communicate that asking customers to pay extra for the servers mistake is no bueno.
