Our sandwiches will be served on biscuits & we’ll have chicken & waffles on every menu. Brunch is obviously southern & will be a big part of what we do. The drinks are takes on classics like the Mint Julep but revved up & including a lot of house made ingredients.
The décor has a southern influence with antebellum charm & elegant polish, stated most clearly in our reworked air stream trailer parked in the garden for VIP reservations. The whole restaurant will feel like a quirky southern aristocrat’s home…just not exactly what you might think.
Difficult day with the Corona Virus and social distancing guidelines in effect. Full waiting area, tables close together, staff not wearing protective gloves, etc.
My date commented that the pimento cheese was so good, he could bathe in it!
Cydney we're glad you guys enjoyed the pimento dip, excellent choice for a tasty bath soap.
Waiter was amazing and I live the eclectic food options
We're glad you enjoyed your time here with us, we can't wait to see you again!
Ida Claire was delicious! Service was very friendly and it was easy to hold a conversation at our table without too much background noise. I really enjoyed the blackberry mule I had—will definitely be returning to try it out for brunch!
Food was simply not good. I suggest the chef spend some time in South Carolina or Tennessee and learn real modern Southern cooking.
Celebrating two friends birthdays. We had a nice evening.
Great service and food!
Katie was an awesome waitress!
Love this place! Food is great, and I love the attention to detail!
Interesting food pairing and tasty dishes. Go for a good time-not an intimate meal.
Moms 50th and it was great! Staff was pleasant.
Overall the experience was very good, I would recommend this restaurant.
The food was excellent, the service was SO slow. It took over an hour to get our food. Even the drinks were slow. Hopefully the service will be better next time.
Although our waiter was nice and attentive, it took close to an hour for us to get our food (which was nothing difficult to put through the kitchen). It was not peak brunch time as we went at 3:00pm on purpose. With a toddler, sitting their waiting for food was unnecessary and very frustrating.
Food was delicious. We ordered shrimp and grits, pancakes, salad, and grilled chicken. Bloody Mary and mimosas were good as well. The chicken looked like it was a bit raw so we sent it back but the chef came out and explained that it was brined for a long time and it only looked raw. Wish the manager had told us that before taking away the plates as we felt wasteful after... we wouldn’t have switched out if that were explained earlier. They kindly replaced the food with a delicious frittata and another chicken. Great service overall.
It was my mother’s bday. The waitress was amazing, I hate I forgot her name but she made my mom’ and her friends experience great!
Service was great! We tried both the Nashville Cauliflower appetizer and the biscuits. Biscuits were awesome! The cauliflower had a strange after taste. We both hand sandwiches - I did the chicken salad and my friend had the rueben. Both were excellent. However, both came with sweet potato chips that were soggy/wet... neither of us ate because, frankly, we were a little grossed out. Cocktails were spectacular!
Enjoyed ourselves during a “Couples date night” outing. Very pleased that our open table reservation allowed us to get seated right away! We enjoyed our server who was very efficient and knowledgeable. The drinks were great the food was good although a bit pricey.
We celebrated our daughter’s birthday and had a great dinner. The service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the ancient grains and shrimp bowl, which was delicious. The Brussels Sprouts were yummy. I love the atmosphere!
We enjoyed the visit here. The food was good - the service was great and the atmosphere was good as well (a little loud, but not bad). The red fish was fantastic, and they do have great biscuits!! A little pricey, but so is every other place in the area.
very nice place and very romantic place and the food was good
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. I like the different type foods on the menu. The energy and atmosphere here is very busy. The staff was busy but it didn't take long for them to come by and take our order. Glad I used open table. I think the wait would have been 30-45 minutes had I not.
Chicken and waffles were AMAZING!
Very nice decor with a good vibe, although high noise level on a Friday night might bother some. The pot roast type dish (I forget name) was very good, as was the chicken and waffles. Roasted cauliflower was a nice appetizer and the wine by the bottle was fairly priced (by the glass seemed high). Overall very nice experience.
Excellent service and food! Thank you!
Food was okay, must have been a off night compared to other times I have done business gatherings. Little slow on service in beginning but picked up. Still left great tip as it was not server fault. Overall okay for price
First time dining here and our group of 6 loved it. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time and had great service. The food was amazing and we can’t wait to go back!
My husband had the redfish and it was divine. I had the short rib and it was not as tender as I would have expected it to be. Also there was a strange smokey taste to the entire dish. The biscuits alone are worth the drive - simply delicious. Not the place to go on a Friday night with a group. Too noisy to hear each other! My favorite is lunch here.
Waitress was very nice and helpful but the service was very slow. It took forever to get our drinks and food.
Our waitress was amazing and the service was great! Will definitely go back again!
Airstream Luncheon – Family gathering with great atmosphere, good drinks and very good food selections with exceptional vegan plates that Executive Chef O'Bryan put together for a few quests to make for an outstanding relaxing two plus hour dining experience. You can’t go wrong making this your destination for a fun food filled outing.
The food and service was wonderful. The noise level was high, but tolerable since we were in a booth on the edge of the room. The waitress was one of the best I have seen - observant and efficient, but not hovering. There was a salad that came with our order and we did not order one. The waitress left it with the impression that the accident delivery was ours and I assumed at no cost. However, when I got the bill there was a $5 added for the salad. I am always suspect when that happens.
Ida Claire was awesome for Sunday Brunch. Festive drinks and the Shrimp and Grits completely slayed my crave. Green fried tomatoes were very good - except any good Southern knows you are supposed to use corn meal not flour! And the chocolate ganache cake was out of this world - moist, wonderful butter cream with a ganache outside. Definitely on my list! Negative is it’s too loud - they need some sound proofing.
Thank you so much! So happy your enjoyed everything. Apologies about the noise level. it can get load when we are packed.
First time to visit. Was unprepared for the noise level in the restaurant. Very difficult to enjoy a conversation with my dining partner without yelling. Food was OK, but nothing special at all. I was disappointed that the crab and corn "beignets" were over-fried cornmeal hush puppies. Shrimp and grits were good with very cheesy grits and grilled shrimp. My dining partner enjoyed the Monte Cristo sandwich, but the chips accompanying the sandwich were cold, chewy and unflavorful--basically inedible. Our server, Adrian, did a nice job but was very overworked with LOTS of tables. It seemed quite apparent that the restaurant was short-staffed. Been there, done that......
Extraordinary customer service and ambience!! I love it!!
Our server was great and I LOVE this place, but they don’t handle their busy times very well (we were there for two hours due to how long our orders took to process and we didn’t order much between the two of us)
They don't manage their reservations well. And they don't care much for this so if this is key for you I wouldn't recommend a visit. Other than that, the food is really good and the service is good once you get to sit. I had to wait for more than 40 minutes even with a confirmed reservation. When taking to the hostess about it she didn't even apologize and said this is "normal" there.
Made a reservation for 7:45. When we got there, we were told it would be about 15 minutes before we got our table. At 8 PM, we were once again told it would be about 15 minutes before we got a table. At 8:25, we finally got out table.
To apologize for the delay, we were given a free appetizer and was offered free drinks (which we turned down as I am off of alcohol for a while). The appetizer was the pimento cheese and sweet potato chips - which were very good.
I asked the waiter his suggestion on my choice and he said to get the Nashville Hot Chicken. (I LOVE Nashville Hot Chicken). When it came out, it looked great, but it was super super mild (think regular KFC) and after I ate half of it, I got a really bad stomach ache that lasted for about 3 hours.
However, my date got the Monte Cristo sandwich and loved it.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. I will probably never return.
The food is always solid at Ida Claire, and I love the happy hour deals. Will definitely be back.
