Our sandwiches will be served on biscuits & we’ll have chicken & waffles on every menu. Brunch is obviously southern & will be a big part of what we do. The drinks are takes on classics like the Mint Julep but revved up & including a lot of house made ingredients.
The décor has a southern influence with antebellum charm & elegant polish, stated most clearly in our reworked air stream trailer parked in the garden for VIP reservations. The whole restaurant will feel like a quirky southern aristocrat’s home…just not exactly what you might think.
Great food and better atmosphere. Can’t recommend enough!
Fabulous as always!!! Great food, fun environment and great service.
One of my favourite restaurants in the area. Very cool ambience. Food is always beautiful with great flavor.
Loved the place! We ate in the Airstrean which was great fun. (Would be too hot in the summer.) Was loud inside the restaurant and patio was quite nice. Food was delicious!! Gave it 4 stars only because the server was slow and I had to get up several times to get his attention. He was preoccupied talking to servers inside. Would come back again.
Great! Good service, great food.
Ida Claire needs to work on improving their in tap beer list. They were out of pretty much all of the IPA's they had on their list and a few of the other types as well. The service was great, as was the food! However, that side of the experience was very disappointing! This is a favorite place of mine and my boyfriend's and we were sad that they were out of so many beer on tap options.
I’ve been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while. This was the perfect excuse since it was my turn to host the book club meeting. Ida-Claire is located in Addison, Texas close to The Improv. The group tables reminded me of giant cutting tables. The high chair allowed for even the shortest person they’re having a “ Tall” day. I didn’t have a drink but someone by me had a Bootsy Collins and she was really enjoying it. I was starting so I was ready for some type of appetizer. What I heard Ida-Claire was homemade cooking, and my eyes sparkled when I saw Ida’s biscuits. The plate came with bacon gravy, honey butter and house jam. I was expecting a nice big fluffy biscuit. The waitress arrived with four mini biscuits, but you could tell they were fresh out the oven. You want to make sure you have something liquid nearby because those biscuits. They were tasted but somewhat dry. I was really hoping for a giant biscuit like the ones they use for their chicken and biscuit sandwich. I loved all the pairings for the biscuit, and it’s filling as I popped my third mini in my mouth. I decided on the Muffuletta. My memory and what was delivered we’re on a different spectrum. I saw all this greenery on my sandwich. I expected an olive induced sandwich but not greens. I was glad it was useless iceberg. It studied my plate like my last Statistics test. Completely confused. It was nothing wrong with it and I shrugged and took a bite. Wow, this is good. It wasn’t just all on the Muffuletta all willy nilly but seasoned and complimenting the meats and cheeses. I took another bite and had a couple of sweet potato chips. Yum. My stomach had to be glowing “TILT!” I got the rest to-go. I thought to myself that was a positive addition to the sandwich, and it clearly referred the arugula on the menu. I totally missed and I’m glad I did because I would have made a dumb mistake and not ordered it.
Adrian is the best!!! Always a great experience at Ida Claire.
Great food and fun ambiance. Only downfall was the server. He blamed a big party for forgetting about us. Mac and cheese was yum but would’ve preferred enjoying it with my meal not when we had finished eating. He admitted that was his fault. I would return and hope for better service.
This was my fourth visit and I was again very please with my experience. It was the first visit for my guest and she raved! I will continue to tell others AND patronize this establishment!
I do recommend making reservations during busy periods.
Great food and service.
Bathroom was very dirty.
Our server worked hard.
Several employees just standing around talking.
Awesome restaurant, I hosted to business associates for lunch. We had table by entrance that was covered by the bartender. Service was horrible, had to go ask the host to get our waitress/waiter so we could order tea and appetizer. Another waitress ended up helping cover our table but overall it was pretty pathetic since no less than 3-4 waiters huddled close to our table at the front desk a large part of the time we were there. Not sure what manager’s thought process was having bartender covering what was obviously a dining table far away from bar but it was a poor idea at best.
I’ll go back because of the food, hopefully the service improves.
Food was great: choices and preparation. Service varied. Our waitress said she was training someone but, by the end, we wondered who was training her!
Food was great.
Bloody Mary wasn’t.
Service was goos
Mother’s Day dinner
Great food and great atmosphere ! Can’t wait to come back!!
Ordered the chicken and waffles. Chicken was great; however, the waffle was dry and over cooked. Ordered the grill chicken with brussel sprouts. Received broccolini. Both were quite bland. Sprouts were finally delivered. They were very tough. Others in my party also did not enjoy their food.
My friend liked her waffle&ribs but I didn’t like my chopped salad much. Was missing meat & the dressing was too sweet. The sauv Blanc was delicious. Waiter was nice but sometimes disappeared. It was busy.
Exceptional service and atmosphere. Ryan, our waiter, was amazing. Excellent food. My family enjoyed a delightful Mother’s Day. Thank you Ida Claire!
The food was delicious. The ambience is very eclectic. Beautiful outdoor seating. The service was slow. The waitress never came back to check on us. So if you could get past not being in a hurry and having a lot of time for conversation, you will enjoy this experience.
I loved it and will be back
Very eclectic atmosphere, food ok pricey, service ok maybe better at the bar
Horrible food. And thats what I remember mostly at this restaurant. Was my besties birthday and each and every food item ordered was cold. How can you serve sweet potatoe chips that are soggy and cold? How can you forget to serve gravy with biscuits and when asked for you send a cold gravy? Great server we had which was the saving grace. It was not severely jam packed at that hour either so I truly do not understand why and how can you go wrong on each food item. And yeah the cake that we ordered was lumpy and tasted uncooked.
Fun, eclectic setting with good energy! Reception was not the best...we were early for our reservation and needed to wait for our table - no problem. But after about 20 minutes wait, they began to seat people who had come in AFTER us. I went up and asked about our wait and was told that the people seated had a reservation. I retorted that WE HAD a reservation and had already waited for 20 minutes - 10 minutes PAST the reservation time. We were quickly seated, but I got the feeling that reception had forgotten we existed. Our waitress, Shelby, was AWESOME, attentive and personable. Food was unique but wasn't up to the hype of the environment, in my opinion. I expected more. The Crawfish Beignet is actually a hush puppy, Shrimp & grits were salty and missed the mark of the simplicity of this southern dish. I'm a former New Orleanian who LOVES shrimp & grits though. We may return for lunch. It would be a fun place for drinks, but at $10/drink, not too many! :)
I love this place, the food and usually the service. Unfortunately this time I had a server that was not as great/attentive as others. That’s why I’m not giving 5 stars this time.
I've been to Ida Claire a few times and it never fails to satisfy. My husband and I came for brunch, and as I have never had fried green tomato's I thought I'd give them a try. They were excellent as was the chicken and waffles and the chicken and biscuit. Everything was great from the coffee and the service. I always love this place!
The service was top notch. We had a party of 12 and our waiter was very attentive. And, the food was delicious.
I felt like we were a bit rushed, as it was Mother’s day weekend. I understand the wait staff is highly motivated to turn tables on such a busy weekend, but not when the kitchen isn’t even getting our plates out to the table in a synchronized manner. Food and atmosphere is awesome.
Food was great. The atmosphere is noisy, which made talking difficult.
Wonderful food and service and the atmosphere was great for meeting up with an old friend :)
Love this Gem!!! Great southern inspired food with lots to choose from! From appetizers to main courses, you can't go wrong... try them all if you can! We had a party of 15 and it was not bad. Although it was hard to communicated across the tables, it still was a very enjoyable night! The drinks were delicious and the service was spot on.
Exceptional food and simply a great experience!
We had an amazing dinner here for my birthday. They have a great patio and it was the perfect night to sit outside. Food was great and service was quick. Pimento cheese dip and beignets were wonderful starters. I had the chicken in a biscuit which was incredible. It was a wonderful dinner and I will definitely be back!
We had to wait 10 min. for the table to be cleaned. Finally sat down and had to wait an additional 10 min. for a server w/ water. Ordered as soon as the waiter arrived to avoid any more waiting. We asked for biscuits and drinks prior to main dish. Had to wait another 10 for the one beverage that wasn’t water, then after an additional 5 the waiter asked if we’d received the biscuits... we said nope and he went to find out where they were, which took another 5 min. Reservation was at 11:45am, and we left at 1:00pm, most of time in a holding pattern. Food is exceptional but I simply have no interest in waiting like that. It’s unlikely we will return.
Nice atmosphere, food was good, but overpriced for what we got. Ladies room was out of toilet paper.
I would recommend Ida Claire, but, be ready for extremely slow service and mistakes on your order. Not sure if it was the wait staff or the kitchen sending things out incorrectly. The catfish poboy was very disappointing for the price. The shrimp and grits where delicious and so was the wood grilled chicken. Spoke to management about the poor service and no explanation apology was given.
Great spot with incredible food and a really cool ambiance. Sat outside on the patio and had a really great brunch
This place is frikin' delicious! I've eaten here a couple times and have gotten a different entree each time, and its been consistently delicious. Highly recommend!!
Excellent food and service
Food wasn’t really southern like it advertised. I ordered a drink and we asked the server if it had tobacco syrup and he said no but when I got it, it was terrible and tasted like I was drinking out of an ashtray. Also server wasn’t really polite and reordered alcoholic drinks without asking us and a few of us sent them back. My food seemed like it say there getting cold for a while and a few other of us said the food was soggy and had no flavor to it. I won’t be going back.
