Ichiban Sushi Asian Bistro Ratings and Reviews
The service was poor .we had a new waiter that didn’t know the menu and didn’t know how to take our order. She got all 4 of our drinks wrong . We order 3 full sized platters of sushi as appetizers , and one orange chicken with fried rice & one general toas chicken as our main course. We watched our sushi sit on the counter for about 5min. Then all our food came together appetizers and main course. She got our order wrong and brought us two general toas . We had no room at our table with the appetizers and main course .out group just didn’t have a nice time because of our server.👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
It was just ok. Their customer service could've been better. Once your food arrives, the server doesn't come back. My son didn't like his sauce and I ask just for a different sauce... you would've thought I had asked for a free meal. This was my first time going and I probably won't go back.
Previously eaten here on my way to southern Maryland and typically order sushi. I decided to try their Thai selection and it was excellent! First, the Tom Yum Goong soup is very spicy but I like it that way! The Thai Shrimp Basil with eggplant was delicious with fresh green, red and orange peppers and baby eggplant! I'd order again! So glad I tried something new!
Went here for dinner with my boyfriend. He got various sushi rolls and I ordered Pad Thai. We both have high standards for the items we ordered since we both love them so much. The food was simply OK. Wasn't bad, just not what we expected.
While the service seemed decent, they forgot to bring my food out and I had to wait for a while. That also messed up my perception of the restaurant.
I'm not sure if we will be back here.
Service was good. Food was just ok. Order the orange beef. Had to send it back because beef was extremely tough not to mention had absolutely no seasoning save the sauce. Husband ordered sesame shrimp and that was ok - ended up getting it instead of orange beef. Had Shrimp Spring rolls and calamari as appetizer. Calamari was also tough and tasteless. I would not return.
Food was very delicious and alcoholic drinks were great. Food came out pretty quickly and servers were attentive with refilling water and clearing the table. I wish the servers explained the menu, especially the sushi menu. Our menus were given to us to view and the server left for the next task, put in appetizer, order drink and order entree. Server could have engaged us more about the menu and specials but they did assist when we asked. We are inexperienced sushi eater. We were happy with menu selections that we chose. Next time, we may try sushi.
We went to Ichiban for my son's birthday. The hostess was pleasant and courteous, seating us right away. However, the dining experience changed dramatically once the server arrived. Our server seemed irritated with us from the time we placed our drink order. At one point we politely asked for an additional root beer and she shook her head and walked away. The food was disappointing as well, of seemingly poor quality, with the exception of the sushi which was pretty good. After leaving the restaurant though several members of my family, including myself, fell ill with stomach issues. We do not plan on returning to Ichiban.
Friday night, busy glad I called ahead, place seems confused.... my friend requested no mushrooms in her dish, the server said fine, food came (not all together either) and there were mushrooms...waitress said "oh sorry, can't you just pick them out?" Not a nice approach. Small place got loud quickly, kind of felt rushed, but it was Friday night
I have been here many many times and am always impressed. The sushi and Thai foods are amazing. My friend and I tried something from the "wok" menu and were not impressed. It was not very tasty and did not have a distinct taste does the multiple other items we have tried.
Not sure if it was a fluke but I will be sticking to the sushi and Thai menus.
Noticed that a section of the restaurant was probably very suitable for folks who want to eat sushi have a drink and watch TV. Nice.
We sat in their upper level which overlooked the sushi bar. Other diners apparently appreciated the TV. We enjoyed our meal - food was plentiful - had a lot to bring home. Sushi entre was served on a huge platter and I was full! However, the sushi selection was standard - my son chose specific sushi items which were excellent.
Food was good but the service was poor. We were a party of 8 and the server expressed no delight in serving us...not a smile or even introduction. Drinks were never refilled. We were surprised yet grateful for the "thank you" from the hostess as we left the restaurant.
