Dinner: Tuesday - Friday: 5:00pm - 9:30pm, Saturday: 4:30pm - 10:00pm
Our first choice. Fabulous family, Iaria’s, been going there for 45+ years! Always a Great time, Friendly staff, service exceptional; all food, beverages are excellent.
Fantastic food with great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Meat balls, pizza, cheese cake......:Thank you
Enjoyed our dinner however feel that the quality of food and wine has slipped from our last visit a few years ago. Marinara sauce was bland and House wine tasted like box wine. Servings were enormous! Minestrone soup was outstanding!
Amazing food and service as always!!!! Love coming to this homey Italian fav!
The food was FANTASTIC and enjoyed by everyone in our party. We arrived about an hour earlier than the rest of our party and enjoyed visiting with Dominique at the bar...had a beer, wine cooler and wine. Good stuff!
Thanks for the fun evening, the great service and even greater food!
Food was amazing & authentic (as good, if not better than anything I had in Italy!) Also love the history behind this place.
The food is always excellent. The cheese tortellini is my favorite Italian dish that I have had at any Italian restaurant. The service was excellent as well. The feel of the place is more like a diner and the bar area is in a separate room that has more of a pub atmosphere. The place is always very clean and the servers are always very friendly.
Excellent food and service!
I’d read and heard good things about this restaurant and came to experience firsthand.
Unfortunately I will not be returning. I reached out to management before posting this and have had no response.
- first and foremost my OpenTable reservation was made but it too another 45mins before a table was ready for us.
Don’t come here if you’re in a Rush.
- no service for 10 mins. Finally flagged down Honey our server. Ordered wine...but never came. I just let it go and it wasn’t on the bill.
- apps were forgotten by the kitchen or never ordered by server. Finally calamari arrived: it was soggy and almost half cooked. Returned item
- entrees were bad. Chicken Parmigiana was burned and meat tough. Veg side was literally raw carrots and soggy angel hair sitting in pasta water and very sweet tomato sauce. Chicken piccata was ok but sides were bad
- asked for check several times. More waiting.
Honey was nice and apologetic but clearly was too busy for us and had figure out what the kitchen was doing.
Sorry but not recommended
First timers, we like local establishments with authentic recipes and found it all here. There are 2 sides to the restaurant, bar and restaurant side. We did not go to the bar side. Although the main dining room was noisy, due to a small area and a lot of people, we found the atmosphere fun. It was a little pricey, however the entrees are almost family style, one entre can definitely feed two. Service was really good. We will go back.
Casual and delicious Italian food.
We arrived about 30 minutes for our reservation. The host was very nice and happy to seat us right away as they had tables available. The restaurant is well cared for and you can see the pride the staff has in the place. Our server was kind and knowledgeable. He suggested appetizers and even helped me pick out my entree. Food was rapid on a very busy night. The place was full and loud! Great energy. We had the calamari and mozzarella, both served with tomato sauce. I had the veal picatta which was very good. Another guest has the chicken Marsala and said it was fantastic and very juicy. The kids had a pizza and tortellini pasta with the pink sauce. They loved it! Some tiramisu and we were out the door. Great stuff!
Food was amazing-as always. Service was great and the pomegranate cosmo was out of this world!
The food was amazing, very authentic Italian! Our Waiter, Barry, was so friendly and inviting. Due to our great experience we will definitely be back often for more date nights!
Once again the restaurant lived up to my expectations. I took a friend who had never been there and she loved it! She cleaned her plate which is really rare. The place was lively, the meals were perfect and the staff was great! I'll be back sooner rather than later.
Excellent waitress was very sensative to my wife’s gluten free needs.
If you want the best Italian food in indy, then this is the place. The staff are phenomenal and the food is just as good. Dee, Dominique and all the staff are the absolute best! Won't eat Italian food anywhere else!
Someone at the desk of a local hotel sent me to Iaria's 5 or 6 years ago. I am in town 2 or 3 times a year. Every trip I eat there at least once if not twice. This is my go to spot in Indy.
Another great evening of great food. Fun time when really busy and handle crowd easily. Dominick was a great server in the bar room.
Great food as usual. My family and I have been coming here for years.
An old favorite for local Italian food. The chicken piccata is bursting with lemon flavor; capers are an additional charge. The blue cheese dressing is the best!
Great food, great staff, overall great restaurant. Will be back
Excellent experience. Easy to make a reservation on Open Table. We arrived early and were able to be seated early. Great "old school" family restaurant feel (we avoid chains). Staff was excellent despite being flooded with runners "carbing up" before the half marathon.
Classic old school Italian, done right
Enjoyed my first time dining at Iaria's. Great atmosphere...close seating to others so expect to hear conversations going on around you. Very family & group friendly. Great place to enjoy new and old company. I ordered a basic meal of spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were VERY good! The pasta was nice and hot which I appreciated. The sauce needed a bit more spice for me, yet was savory. I added some red pepper flakes and was good to go. I ordered their homemade Tiramisu. It was PERFECT! I would enjoy my date taking me there again!
Iaria's is a gem in Indy. The meals are what traditional Italian should be!
Love the atmosphere, and food, except my antipasto salad (we paid the extra 4.00 for) got to the bottom of the bowl and there was part of a plastic bag at the bottom. I brought it to the attention of our waiter Dominick, his comment was "that's not good", and left with the bowl. But did not take the 4.00 off the bill, which I expected, but it was our Anniversary and I did not wish to comment at the time. But after Dominick did bring out a slice of Tiarmusu to help us celebrate our anniversary. Also the table next to us got bread on their table, but we were never asked if we wanted any. This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, and I hope these were just isolated incidents.
Joe, service was fab. Food was fresh and hot. Nearly more than I could eat and the Lemoncello cake is to perfect!
Another great night out!
Awesome food and helpful staff. Ordered that Drogatta and thoroughly enjoyed it...portions are huge.
Simply the best margarita pizza I’ve ever had. My wife and I shared and she agreed with this assessment. I ordered the veal parmigiana and it was excellent. I opted for a side of angel hair with red sauce which was also great. The pasta has a fresh taste you don’t get at many Italian restaurants. My wife got the grouper piccata. She loves anything piccata and said the fish was cooked perfectly. Service was ok outstanding even though it was a crowded prom night.
I’ve been looking for an authentic no frills place that just focuses on the food and this is it!
Made reservations due to reviews on internet. Got seated on arrival and service began. Food was good and service was also. Will return when in Indy.
Delicious classic Italian dishes, tasty drinks, great service even when busy. Recommend reservations on weekends.
Our waitress was excellent! Its a neat vintage place. Average prices.
Very authentic Italian restaurant. The servers are friendly and great. And the food is absolute perfection!
Very large portions
We had a reservation and got seated immediately. The waiter had several tables but he never seemed rushed when he came to ours. The lasagne was ‘ok’. We’ve had much better. The meatballs were nothing to write home about. The cheese tortellini was good and filling. The fried mozzarella appetizer was very tasty ! We are not itching to return but all in all, pretty good.
We went for a family birthday party, made reservations and everything was ready and waiting when we arrived. Food, drink, service was all fabulous! Very attentive staff, and of course the red sauce is to die for.
We always enjoy the bar area and are never disappointed in the quality and taste of the food!
