About Iaria's Italian Restaurant
Iaria's Italian Restaurant was established in 1913 by Pietro and Antonia Iaria and is currently run by fourth generation family members, Matthew Iaria and Carla Russell. Entering Iaria's is like taking a step back in time...not much has changed over the years. The restaurant and bar both offer booth seating and the decor consists mostly of family and celebrity pictures. The Food: sauces, meatballs, sausage, pizzas are made in house and weekly specials are offered. The Bar: cocktails, extensive wine list and craft beer are all available. It is a popular spot for locals and celebrities. It is a great location for a small get together, business luncheon, holiday party or just a night out. The Iaria family looks forward to seeing you soon...

Iaria's Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The BEST Italian I've ever had. Iaria's red sauce is so so so good. I could drink it.
The antipasti salad is a delicious app and big enough to share. I've had the chicken parm, chicken marsala and spaghetti for my entree and never been disappointed.
If you live in Indy and haven't been to Iaria's - do yourself a favor and go.
We had the WORST service in all the years we've been eating at this establishment. So bad, that no tip was left. I'll pay for the food, which was excellent, but I'm not paying for no service. All of our food was brought to us by bussers. We sat for 10 min. after being seated before I got up & asked if our waitress could stop by our table. I have a list of things that went wrong that night if interested, this is just a few...
My boyfriend and I made dinner reservations for a belated Valentines dinner. We arrived a few minutes late, but the staff was wonderful and accommodated us! Service was prompt, friendly, and quality. Dinner was delicious (it was my first time). I would highly recommend this as a good laid back date location. It’s not tremendously upscale, but has a charm that only comes from being around for nearly 100 years. Date night win!
Family owned with excellent food; easily some of the best Italian food you can find in Indianapolis. Only drawbacks are that the place is small... so when it's busy and/or under staffed I can see that as a potential problem. I can clearly see that their waitstaff work hard though, so kudos to them. I made a special reservation including an accommodation and they tried to work with me, which I appreciated. If you like smaller family owned places on a regular day you really can't find much better for the price. As for big occasions this may not be the most romantic and/or quiet (although this view may be skewed as we were in the bar area). You can certainly tell they've earned their regulars.
I was surprised on how popular this restaurant was as the Friday night we visited it was extremely busy. However, when the food came out it was amazing. I immediately understood why they get so much business. The owner even came out and greeted us , thanking us for visiting. A small gesture, but one that made us feel at home.
I have visited Iaria's for the past 60 years and hope they never change their charming atmosphere. I will have to say my chicken was a little dry, but very flavorful. Others at our table were very pleased with their meal. The original Iaria's were godparents to my Aunt, so I feel a connection.
Arrived for a 6:30 reservation and finally seated around 6:45pm. Had a group of 12 and they got us seated, server took drink orders, and then did not see him for food orders for another 15 minutes. Think they were overwhelmed by Devour Indy and how many people came in. Appetizer and main entree very good, and worth the wait.
Love the atmosphere and service. Food was just so-so - nothing outstanding, though the chicken piccata was better than lasagna or spaghetti. We loved the tradition and the people there, and prices are great, but we have had better Italian food elsewhere, so not a return destination for us.
The food was good and the atmosphere was cool. Service was pretty good. I rated the noise level moderate simply cause there were a couple of big groups that made it noisy. The meatballs were slammin. The red sauce was good. The grouper was good except it was drowning in a pool of sauce which would have been better on the side as a dipping sauce. My wife had linguine Alfredo that was tasty. A real cannoli was great. I look forward to trying different dishes. Didn’t look much from the outside, but definitely my kind of place on the inside. Good place.
The food at this restaurant is always very good and hot when it is served. We enjoy coming with friends and family to enjoy a delicious authentic Italian meal. It is a fancy atmosphere but it is just good food. Our server was very attentive and we got our food in a timely fashion. It is located close to downtown and is very easy to get to off Fletcher Avenue exit.
