Iaria's Italian Restaurant
Food was good. Service fine. Noise level was so high that couldn't hear our own conversation at the table. Same at a previous visit.
I love Iaria’s. Have been there for lunch many times but this was my first time for dinner. As usual, the food was excellent and service was good.
We enjoy the Devour Indy. excellent way to sample new menu items. The red sauce is great.
Happened to be there during Devour Indy and really enjoyed the special menu options. Coming into the dining room is like being in Gramma’s kitchen where the smells are wonderful.
Poor food. Chicken parm wasn’t cooked all the way. Good bread.
The best Tortellini I have ever had! If I didnt live 2.5 hours away I'd come back as often as I could! Great atmosphere and great prices.
we were seated at 5:40 our server welcomed us took our drink orders. A Family came in and sat down at table next to us the server gave them 100% of herself, took there food order brought them there soup and salad and never came back to our table to take our order or bring our drinks. At 6:00 we got up and left after letting the host know why.
Best Italian food as always, I moved out of town and haven’t been back in a couple years. Four of us had different items from the menu and everything was awesome!!
Good food, good service and a must stop when we are in Indy
Wonderful Italian restaurant. Sat outside on a beautiful summer evening. Great pizza, great service
Very, very good food! Greet service & a fair value for the meal provided.
Food was out quickly and tasted very authentic Italian. Salads are amazing as well as great pasta dishes!
It was “MEH” neither good nor bad. The food was good but the cheese inside my tortellini was cold so I didn’t enjoy it. The bread was mediocre and the olive oil served with it was tasteless. The service was terrific. The cannoli was excellent. I also enjoyed the spicy risotto balls served as an appetizer. The atmosphere was basic. I just didn’t find a need to return.
We hadn't been back for about 13 years. Was worth going back. Fantastic. Good old fashion Italian family food.
Every time my wife and I decide to have a date night downtown we choose Iaria’s. It’s great authentic Italian food, excellent atmosphere, and reasonable service. I personally always got the baked lasagna while my wife prefers the Ricotta stuffed tortellini in their creamy red sauce with two meatballs. I’m really glad we found this place and the fact that the business has been around close to 80 years speaks to the quality of experience you get at Iaria’s.
We had a really good experience. The food was great, service was great, and we didn’t have to wait a long time for food or drinks. It’s been that way every time we go. We appreciate having Iaria’s close by. It’s perfect if you want an authentic, old school Italian restaurant experience.
Our server was very knowledgeable and able to easily converse with us. We brought friends for their "first time" visit to Iaria's and really wanted them to like it - he helped make the experience very pleasant.
Outstanding meal and service. Will be back
As always great food and fantastic service from Dominic in the bar room.
We love Iaria’s! it Is such a friendly, cosy place with great food and service. They make you feel like home. They remember you the second and third time you go there. My kids want to go there all the time 😃 We highly recommend this lovely restaurant!
How wonderful to walk into Iaria's on a busy Saturday night and be seated immediately! Making a reservation through OpenTable is the way to go!
Our group of 7 went here and had a great time with good food!
Great food and service! It has old school Italian restaurant ambiance, nothing fancy but nice and clean and very friendly staff!
We were seated within a few min. We were sat a table back in a corner booth. (My fiancé is a bigger guy) The joining table had people sitting in chairs that were so close and we had to squeeze to get passed them. We both sat in the booth area (no chair) and my side of seat had the most UNCOMFORTABLE bar or something coming out of the cushion so I had to sit way to the left ( to close to the people at table next to us) or way to the right (my fiancé lap. The waiter we had was nice but made an extremely rude comment after my fiancé got done eating. Asked him if he even tasted it. And then winked at me like I was going to think what he said was funny. ( as if he inhaled it) He must have though he ate fast or because he finished his food. But he put what he didn’t eat on my plate so we could take it home. The sun was beaming through the window shining right onto our faces and where we were couldn’t pull the shade. The place was packed the noise was very loud we couldn’t hear one another talking. We have been here several times because we love the food.
We always have a wonderful dinner and time with friends when we dine at Iaria’s
Great atmosphere and at your service dining. They don’t skimp on anything!
Food was delicious and our server was fantastic, even though it was very busy! We really enjoyed our food and drinks
My wife and I went for our anniversary on a Friday night and sat in the bar area (on the advice of a Yelp reviewer). It was busy, but the good kind of busy (we could still hold a conversation and not be overwhelmed). This was our first visit, our server had great recommendations, and the food was amazing! We ordered the veal piccata, linguini with clam sauce, and the minestrone soup. I upgraded my pasta to the cheese tortellini which comes with a blend of the red sauce and the Alfredo (I’ve already said the food was amazing but I have to say it again). We don’t live in Indy but we’ll definitely be back!
They were out of two items that we ordered and then later told they didn’t have. Two of the guests did not like the dishes that they had. One particular was the grouper piccata. It was mush inside a overcooked breading.
The BEST authentic Italian food in the Midwest. HUGE portions! And the service made me feel like I was at my mamas house. Love it!
One of my favorite places in Indy. However, a little disappointed that we had a 7 pm reservation but did not get seated until 7:45 pm.
Must have been an off day for this restaurant given the other good reviews I saw.
I mentioned on my reservation that we are vegetarians and are celebrating my wife's birthday. The hostess seating us said they got the request and will be able to accommodate it. We also reiterated that to the person who took our order.
As you can guess where this is going, our pasta showed up with meatballs. Perhaps the worse part was when the plates went back, but got replaced rather quickly with another plate that didn't have meat on them. Since they can't magically cook pasta in 2 minutes, I can only assume they just scooped off the meatballs and sent it back.
Since we were in a hurry and it was my wife's birthday dinner, I chose not to create an issue. Clearly I wouldn't go here if I am celebrating a big event. Fair to say, they completely missed my expectations.
This is a lesser issue, but the hostess unnecessarily mentioned that we would be getting a birthday special dessert. I don't care that we didn't get it, but would have been better if they didn't tell us that upfront. Again, just feedback in case you guys want to act on it.
Wonderful service at a hectic time.
A different party had shown up with many more people than their reservation, and this party was dominating the service staff. However, our experience was still at the high quality we expect from Iaria's. All employees seemed to be hustling to accommodate the large party as well as the other diners. Our server explained the situation, and even though she apologized for the busyness, she provided exemplary service even bringing out free garlic bread to reward our patience. It was we who should have been rewarding her.
Great food. Can't wait to return.
I have been dining at Iaria's for years.
Rose was our server this time and she
was great. I am very detail oriented, so,
I noticed that Rose was too. When she
asked me what type of dressing I would
like on my salad, I answered "French" and Rose
said is that with an "F". She did this to make sure
I did not say "Ranch". She did a great jog. We
had the grouper, which I not previously ordered
and it was amazing.
Wonderful experience as always! Everyone enjoyed their meals
Wonderful......all you could imagine .
Great staff and food
Quality much less than what was recommended!
Iaria's was a great experience. Went there to celebrate my brother's birthday. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious...Perfect temperature to eat, tasty, and authentic. I would definitely recommend and will visit again!
Food was mediocre for Italian. Was expecting better from the pics and reviews of the food. It was as though the same marinara sauce was used for everything and the sauce was meh. Service was good, I will say that. They were also very accommodating. Not sure if I’ll be back.
Baby crying at another table while we were trying to have conversation at our table. Witness forgot my soup. 1/2 people
At able ordered garlic bread and it came stacked in a basket. Cheese stuck together. The others at our table received no bread with meal. Food was warm not hot. Asked for glass for beer waitress didn’t bring until half done with beer. Not our best experience at your restaurant. Not sure I would recommend to others. Disappointed
Iaria’s was the perfect spot to introduce friends to Indy. The kids and mamas enjoyed our meal as we dined outside.
Me and my kids can't wait to go back!
