Back room is much quieter. Front room is prettier. You decide which is more important
Amazing hand made pasta. Incredible.
Food wonderful as always. Good wine choices too. It was a Saturday night and pretty crowded so a bit loud but we still had a great time and will return.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely but too noisy. We were screaming at one another in order to hear.
We ate at the bar and the bartender provided us with the finest service. She was attentive and considerate and professional. When we told her we were celebrating our anniversary she brought to us two complimentary glasses of sparking wine - a gesture we will never forget. The food was so excellent prepared in a way which left us wanting more. We have already recommended this restaurant to several friends
Chris is great. Very helpful!
Our go to restaurant every time we are in NYC. Great place
Showing my parents one of my favorite places!
Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I’ve been making my grandmas sauce and meatballs since I can remember and I’ve never had a place compare to it until now. Incredible food from the pasta to the meatballs to the bread, the sauce and even the dessert. Would recommend to anyone and can’t wait to come back next time in the city!
Service was awful. Food took a long time and was either over and undercooked.
Food not that good, pasta overly salty and no cheese in the ravioli
We really enjoyed our dinner at I trulli. I had their signature rabbit orecchiette and my husband had the zuppa. Bread service was also excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Seating in the garden was very romantic. I’d highly recommend it to friends.
The food, ambiance, service and price allthe elements were excellent. I highly recomend itrulli to anybody.
The wife and I were in New York for our annual U.S. Open trip. We always wanted to go here and we made a reservation. Her pasta was fab I had the bass fish and Caesar salad. The wine list is also excellent. Really enjoyed it recommend it to everyone.
The restaurant is a hidden gem in NYC. The pasta was very good, the waitstaff great. I have allergies and they were very attentive to them.
Uninspired and overpriced
My favorite restaurant in NYC, it never disappoints. Amazing food, equally amazing service. It’s like eating at your friend’s house who happens to be an incredible cook! Complete with the mom making the fresh pasta when you walk in!
Can’t wait to go back!
Love the restaurant. It was a bit crowded the other night so service was slower than usual. But the yummy food and good wine choices make up for it. Lovely on the back patio.
Great late lunch in the Garden. Comfortable despite the hot outdoor temps.
We had an early dinner after a Broadway matinee. Weather allowed us to eat outside and we had a table that was open to the sky. Service was excellent, food was great, vino reasonably priced for NYC. Not rushed through our dinner. Very pleasant evening. Look forward to our next visit.
Overall the food is good, not particularly inventive but solid italian main-fate. The usual tiramisu, the usual meatballs and calamari and some pastas. Well done but also very rich, you can feel the butter added that wasn’t necessary but makes it more ‘restaurant’. I just wish famous Italian Restaurants like this one would dare to challenge the usual American taste with more specific regional italian food (and I’m italian)
The pasta was delicious although very heavy. The meatballs were perfection as well as the Dessert. Our server was not attentive or friendly at all.
The food was decent but my Chicken Milanese was a bit undercooked, and I didn’t finish eating it. The meatballs and calamari were excellent! My Hemingway Daiquiri was also quite delicious.
Tried and true neighborhood fave with one of the nicest and weather protected, outdoor dining venues...
Patio nice. Guest liked her dinner. But they must have been down to their last bit of broccoli rabe because there was very little in my broccoli rabe pasta. It’s not like it is an expensive ingredient. Also waiter was over worked.
The orecchiette rabbit ragu & homemade ravioli in pistachio sauce are absolutely incredible. The orecchiette has a slight chewiness that you can only get with homemade pasta. The ravioli has filling that is very flavorful, most likely because of a healthy dose of Parmesan cheese mixed in with the ricotta. The pistachio sauce is also bursting with flavor. I’m definitely going back!
The atmosphere and decor is fine for a mid-level Italian restaurant, and the food is very good. However, the service was abysmal and the cleanliness of utensils and butter dishes was below expectations. They messed up my lamb and it was replaced with scallops. The manager had to end up waiting on us.
Delicious food excellent service and a nice ambiance
This is probably one of my favorite restaurants and dining experiences ever. You will not be disappointed
I have been dining here since someone introduced me to iTrulli in 2011. It is a fantastic place with great food and service. I have had the opportunity to travel a lot and for Italian food this place has nailed it. Never disappoints and I now travel 8000 miles to get there and I make sure I eat there when in New York.
We took our friend out for lunch to celebrate her retirement and to enjoy restaurant week. iTrulli is one of our favorite places. Our meal exceeded our expectations and the staff is always great. It was such an enjoyable experience.
We always try and have a meal at I Trulli once a year and this time we had a concert nearby at the Gramercy. So it was a no brainer to stop in and enjoy some of the best Italian food in NYC. Delicious drinks (Mai-Tai), apps and entrees (I had the chicken parm, my wife the scallops). Always fantastic. And it was my wife’s birthday so we were treated to a birthday tiramisu. A+!
Amazing Food ! Warm welcome ! Great Nicola ! Thanks ... see you very soon
A NYC institution! Been going there for 30 years. Wonderful outdoor dining garden. The Nonna hand makes the pasta every day. Excellent food, Excellent service!
Most certainly a destination for both after work and dinner gathering with friend both local and out of town with that encompassing international friends visiting. The ambiance, service and esthetic is very conducive to an enjoyable evening. That allows you to speak to friends that you see on a regular basis or intermittently. Always good for a revisit when dear ones are around.
Seems to have gone downhill. Food was mediocre and comparable to a chain restaurant. Grossly overpriced. Won’t be going back.
I have been family and friends here since the mid 90’s every time I am in NYC. The food preparation and presentation is amazing.
The pasta is brilliant
The bread also tasty.
Staff are so friendly, really good experience.
