Need to book at 10:30 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
I Trulli is cozy and authentic. The food was very good Puglian (southern Italy), prices are fine, and it's cozy-- no loudness. You can have a conversation over dinner. Highly recommended
Went there pre-concert at MSG. Food is always outstanding and Fresh. Love the rabbit dishes and the panzerotti. Wines are priced reasonably. Cocktails are good but a bit pricey for the shelf level. Stick with the wine.
Truly authentic, high quality homemade food.
I grew up in an immigrant Italian home with homemade pasta and nonna doesn’t disappoint....even the cheeses are authentic from the homeland . An absolute must when in NYC
Wonderful warm ambiance, great service and outstanding food !
Went for Valentine's Day dinner and were given a special menu (4 courses, $78) of which the first course was a couple of tiny crostini. I don't know of any restaurant where two crostini counts as a "course". The food itself was sloppy and could not be finished. The manager was called and he offered to replace the food. We said no. The check showed some acknowledgement of the issues and we were charged 50% on ONE of our meals. We went to this restaurant because we know it is an old standard that used to have a glowing reputation. Today there is no attention to detail and no sense of creativity. They are just mailing it in now. We were very disappointed.
Door personal was very unfriendly and seated us to the possibly worst table (right next to the AC)
We went for their Valentines menu and it was delicious and so enjoyable. There were plenty of choices for each course.
Had a wonderful lunch and very happy we found this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. Highly recommended.
I have been to I Trulli many times throughout the years and have enjoyed the food and the experience. This time however, I found the menu uninspiring, lacking in choices and the food merely so so. As some would say, meh. For such unextraordinary food, the prices are extremely high and so the overall dining experience was definitely not worth the price. I have had far superior Italian food at other restaurants in my Murray Hill neighborhood. The service was efficient but very perfunctory. My dining partner and I were hugely underwhelmed.
Best Italian in all of NYC
Our go to place when we are in NYC. Never disappoints!
Everything exceeded expectations. Food, attentiveness, atmosphere I will be back many more times in the future
Excellent Resto Week menu. I do not need Resto Week to come back again.
Ravioli and pasta were above average. Sauces average; need more spice
Chicken Parm was diner quality. Breading thick, sauce and cheese mediocre. $34 price tag completed the trifecta.
Back room was cold and drafty.
Many better quality neighborhood options...at a much better value. Will not return.
I am a google local reviewer and have spent a lot of time in Italy both personally and for work. I have a deep appreciation for Italian food and the various regions. From an atmosphere and ambiance perspective, I Trulli came across as old and a neighborhood place. Don’t get me wrong, neither are bad. It’s just a matter of preference. When my wife and I went it was restaurant week so the atmosphere was a bit hectic and felt a bit rushed and transactional. Our appetizers, the meatballs and the calamari, were both good. Unfortunately, our pasta was mushy, at best, and we had to send it back. Even the table next to us who have the same pasta sent it back. The owner was surprised and a bit defensive and kept saying that it’s supposed to be that way because it’s fresh pasta. I beg to differ. Not the best experience. I won’t be going back.
The space and the food were quite good. My friend and I both felt that the waiter was rushing us and that was not pleasant. Interrupted us several times when we were conversing
Charming setting, delightful waiter, substantial portions - try the meatballs for sure. Bronzino was delicious, molten chocolate cake was decadent and the coffee was the best I've had in quite some time.
Go - and say hello to Nonna making pasta at the bar.
Great food and service. Would go back in a flash!
We went for a Restaurant Week lunch and found it very pleasant. We will be back!!!
We enjoyed our meal at I Trulli very much. We chose the Restaurant Week menu, so the food was very good and the prices were reasonable. Also the fireplace was lovely, and the service attentive.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Food and wine very, very good. The Bar Lady was very knowledgeable, friendly and sincere. A memorable night.
Restaurant Week menu was delicious! They knew we were celebrating our anniversary and gave us Prosecco and a delicious slice of ricotta cheesecake. Amazing service as always!
I’ve lived in the city for 10 years and I can’t believe this was my first time there. Absolutely perfect experience, from food to service and ambiance. Will be going back very often from now on.
Food was good.
Noise level very acceptable.
I love I Trulli, and usually my only complaint is how noisy it is. Remarkably, at lunch the other day, it was nearly empty...not good for them, but certainly made for a lovely, quiet lunch. Food was fine, as it always is, and some touches of rose to excellent.
Very tasty food and wonderful restaurant week menu. I really liked the short rib and the décor.
Excellent service. Very good restaurant week selections.
Beautiful dining room with working fireplace. Service was professional and warm, food was good.
Ravioli, chicken parrm, and other pasta was all served to our party, and enjoyed by all.
Went for a casual dinner with a couple of friends. Server was alright, not exceptional but when we asked for Tabasco sauce, he said they don’t have it but there was a bottle right at the counter, which we pointed to. Starters was quite decent but the three of us made the unfortunate decision to all order the Clams Linguine.
Pasta was quite undercooked and barely edible, there was more shells than clams, and the white wine wasn’t cooked off fully, felt like the kitchen did it in such a hurry and the restaurant wasn’t even half filled.
We didn’t make a fuss but when asked we did give our comments politely. However, when the proprietor or the host came over, it felt like he was just doing his rounds (the body language was impatient) and when we explained the above, we could barely got past the “our pasta’s a little undercooked” and he was just going on about how it’s Al Dente - in a condescending manner, like I’ve never had al dente pasta in my life?
I didn’t bother to comment anymore afterwards because he was so defensive, afterall what’s the point. I gave two stars because it was inedible - but I wouldn’t go back there for sure. Disappointed.
Excellent food and service. Space is nice and staff well accommodating. Will be coming back.
The food was excellent. The staff attentive. It was our first visit and it won’t be our last. We visited Puglia recently, so the evening brought back wonderful memories of a wonderful trip. “Authentic” is the word that comes to mind.
It was perfect
Much more unique choices of pasta and other dishes than most Italian restaurants. Good options for wines by the glass too.
Service was friendly, food was good although the portion size for some of the dishes seemed to vary considerably. Handmade pasta was excellent. Cozy atmosphere, located conveniently close to the repertorio español!
Best Italian restaurant in NYC! We sat at the bar and Daria took great care of us 🖤
Nicola has created my go to place for real Pugliese (my ancestral region) food. Rabbit, fave e cicoria and great primitivo is all I need. Could use, like all Italian restaurants in the U.S., some grappa barricata. My only wish.
Service was great. We loved the ravioli the best. We made reservations for 6 pm then, realized we were running late, I change the reservation time and it was really easy. Parking was fine. We found parking across the street plus we got 20% off since we were going to see a show. The service was great!!!
Wonderful food. Pasta is a must have, planning to return!
We really enjoyed our dinner but the table are close together. We were on a romantic date but the waiter and the food made up for the location of our dining experience. We had the rabbit and it was amazing!
Very attentive service for the most part. Food was delicious. Wine was fantastic. Very happy
