As always, excellent sushi and service!
Extremely good, fresh food. Creative dishes and excellent service. Enjoyed the sake tasting flight; 3 small pours of good sake for $20.00. Fun place for a birthday or anniversary celebration. Not super nice décor, but comfortable. Former Mariner players from Japan have their signed jerseys hanging on the wall, so it can't be all bad!
I used to say that I Love Sushi was expensive but the best sushi place in town. After last night I will now say its just the most expensive sushi in town. They now have the thinnest slices of fish on their nigiri sushi that I have seen. Your better off going to one of the less expensive sushi places that have the track that goes around. You will get a thicker cut of fish and pay less. I am also disappointed that they did away with my two favorite rolls. The Ichi-roll and the lobster roll. I am not sure why they have made these cut backs. It always seams busy when I am there. I hope they read this review....
It’s just good, qaulity sushi. The staff is nice. It could be a little cozier, but it’s fine for a sushi restaurant.
I Love Sushi has chefs from Nagoya, Japan to facilitate original Nihon cooking. Thank you! All they need to do make Ryokan in Seattle. It would be a sellout!
Their sushi is consistently delicious, and their service is sincere and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant.
My favorite time is lunch...
Seems like it’s crammed into an old building around construction. But tell ya what, great sushi and sashimi, and excellent experienced service..
Our waitress was excellent. She was friendly, professional, and remembered that I called earlier in the day to see if t hey had uni available that night. The restaurant itself is quite tired - needs to be refreshed with new décor.
We go to I Love Sushi sporadically. The property is not showing its age gracefully. The entry is in particular need of renovation. It smells of mold. The food is competent but not to the level of our favorite Japanese places. Finally, portions are small and significantly more expensive.
We usually sit at the sushi bar and get the omakase sushi with the addition of the chawan mushi. The food is always delicious. Every sake we have tried, cold or hot, have been enjoyable. The service is always friendly and gracious. Always a good meal that we look forward to.
This visit was to enjoy free mini-kaiseki from our annual osechi purchase for 2018. The chef came to greet us after we completed the mini-kaiseki. Which was 5 stars in quality. Thank you! We ordered a sushi roll, seaweed salad, and chicken garage after the kaiseki. I Love Sushi really turned the food up a notch with chefs from Nagoya, Japan.
I Love Sushil location is very remote inside a business park. Hard to find. The restaurant is expensive for what value they provide. Servings of Sashimi is one piece per dish unless you go for the bigger entree options.
Terrible sushi. Used to be amazing. The spicy tuna rolls were made of mushed up tuna instead of whole pieces. Our mango rolls were ok, not great. Sushi did not seem fresh.
My family ( 2 children and 2 adults) spent New Year's Eve at I Love Sushi. We were offered seats promptly after our reservation. Service was courteous and the food arrived within minutes. We ordered the family dinner ( the New Year's Oseichi Platter ). It was excellent, we got the opportunity to sample a wide array of food items such as sushi, tempura, udon, small rolls, Kobe beef. My seven year old loved the udon. We were all satisfied with the tasty meal, with our polite waiter and the quiet environment. Thank you, I love Sushi. We will return.
The Bento Box was excellent, in general all the food was great.
Visited for Friday dinner. The server was very friendly and suggested hot sake (Ozeki) when we were considering more expensive sake not knowing that it was cold sake. The sake was great and cheaper! We had fried calamari for appetizer and sukiyaki and grilled mackerel for entree. All were great but the fried calamari were the best. They are crispy and sauce (white and red) are soo good.
Always great recommendations from the staff, and the whole menu is great. This is a regular favourite whenever I’m in Bellevue.
Great value for lunch!!!
This was one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to! Great service and amazing food!
New since my last visit: Take out case near front with some great sushi and salad options! Also, specialty rolls on lunch menu. The Isabel roll was fabulous.
It was our 23rd anniversary, and they were very nice. They got my order wrong, but the manager came out and apologized and did everything he could to make up for it, including a nice dessert. This is our favorite Japanese restaurant. When I need my sushi fix, we drive there from Federal Way. It's worth it.
Some of the best sushi in greater Seattle area
The sushi was really fresh and the rolls were very tasty. I travel to Redmond for work and would definitely visit here again.
Leon San in Sushi Bar was great. Had great selections of fishes from all over the world and Leon San prepared Sushi to be so so tasty. My favorite Sushi/ Sashimi place in the East side. Will definitely go back!!
This restaurant needs to be updated. Great selection of exotic seafood and authentic ingredients but ambience was gloomy and outdated
Great sushi and tempura. Good selection of food. Restaurant a little warm.
We had a great time there. Food was wonderful. Service is good as well.
very attentive service, outstanding fresh fish. i was really impressed. even though i was out for a low-key solo meal on a work trip
We go once every week or two and love, love love it. Always sit st the bar top and always order omakase. No soy sauce no additions you eat what they serve and it's amazing!!!!
Very fresh sushi. Service was excellent - attentive, helpful, great recommendations.
I've told everyone who loves sushi over the last 20 years this place was the best. Unfortunately, it seems as tho there must have been some changes. The last 2-3 times we've eaten here were a little disappointing. Our favorite dishes are no longer served and the food has become a bit "average". I still like the place. Just don't Love it. Very sad.
We ordered four "I Love Sushi Kaiseki." The food was not good (didn't taste and look fresh, definitely not worth $40), also didn't even look like the picture on their menu. Asked the waitress about it but he didn't really provide an answer. Both the service and food was not good at all. We have visited here before many times and referred others too. This time we had such a bad experience, will not recommend to others again.
I've been a frequent diner at this location. I Love Sushi in Bellevue on the lake has always been on the pricey side but the quality and service has been going down over the last few years. This last experience will certainly make me think twice before coming here again. While I would let slide the fact that cups of tea were not refilled even though the servers walked by numerous times, the presentation of a few plates of rolls that were not well rolled and falling apart had my wife commenting that rolls we had at a nearby conveyer belt sushi place were presented better. Then we got served Jalapeno Bomber rolls that didn't have Jalapeno garnish on the roll - the server even placed the dish and announced "Jalapeno Bomber Roll" :)
After bringing the omission to the manager's attention and mentioning the quality of the prior dishes, he apologized profusely and discounted our final bill. I appreciate the gesture but a higher end restaurant should not have had this happen to begin with.
Yuki was our waiter and he was amazing! Attentive, polite, and was also very upbeat. The food was soooo tasty. They even worked with me and my crazy gluten free dietary restrictions.
Thanks for such a great experience on my husbands birthday!
Decent environment. They ran out of certain kinds of sushi and some deserts. Difficult to be there for a relatively early dinner to find they are out of what you wanted to eat.
We're really starting to like this place. Food is delicious, great service, excellent atmosphere.
Great rolls and excellent service as always!Gonna try the Uni next time.
Very good Japanese food! Quiet restaurant. Highly recomanded.
Food was good as usual except my dessert. I love anmitsu, but what was in the glass container yesterday seemed too little compared to other times I had the same dessert. The green tea ice cream was about half the size, not a full scoop. I was a bit disappointed. It took a long time for all the desserts to come, too, as well as my husband's meal. Rest of us were nearly finished when his lunch was brought to the table. Our server was apologetic, but they should know that the regulars like us would notice when quality goes down and things are not the same.
