The service was excellent and friendly. The “Italian Villa” decor and ambiance was cozy and inviting. The food was authentic fresh Italian and very delicious. They added a candle to my husband’s lava cake when we told them it was his birthday and brought it out lit. Mid-week it was fairly quiet and we had a nice family booth. We’d recommend for a special occasion.
Food was good but service was way too rushed.
I have been here a number of times. Consistently good food and friendly staff. They have a full bar, so a generous selection of drinks.
Great service. A very nice place even when crowded . My date and I enjoyed the food very much and were very happy that we were able have a good conversation where we could actually hear one another. Pretty sure we will be back.
I have not been there for a long. The salad was good and the service was excellent but I did not think the food was a good as I remembered it. However, It may just be due to what I ordered - Spaghetti Pomodoro with meatballs. My wife's order of Wild mushroom and kale tasted better to me.
iGatti is one of our "go-to" places for a nice dinner out. We were there prior to going to a concert. The food was great. We had the gnocci, beet salad, saffron risoto with prawns and the chicken parmesean. All were great. There wine list is very good, but we gave up wine for Lent, so we didn't order any this time. The service was very good, too.
Slight hiccup with timing on the food delivery but they comped a glass of wine to make up for it. Food was simply prepared and very tasty. Italian classics menu with a few steaks thrown in for variety.
The ambience was perfect. The food was great. However, the options for wine were limited. Our server rushed us a bit too much and interrupted the conversations so everybody got a bit annoyed.
Service very good. Attentive without feeling like being hovered over. Food delicious. Portions adequate, except for dessert. Skimpy for the price. Would have been satisfied with a little bigger scoop of ice cream.
Everything is good about this place - our favorite restaurant!
We celebrated a great valentine’s Day at IGatti!! I had not been there in years! Thanks to Open table for suggesting it!! We will definitely be back!!
Every one was so helpful, and sweet. The host was excellent. Food wonderful.
My queen of hearts and her friend had a wonderful time. I felt safe them them there to enjoy . Thank you for making it happen.
We arrived to dinner to discover the menu was significantly more expensive than the online menu we used to chose this restaurant and book our reservation. The staff would not honor the online menu prices. That's just bad customer service, so we left.
Fabulous service and food. A gem of a place for lunch or dinner.
This has become one of our favorites in the area. It’s a neighborhood gem. The risotto is consistently delicious!
As always, the dining experience at I Gatti was wonderful. The staff is gracious and attentive without being overbearing. It is our favorite place in Los Gatos!
Loved the food, ambiance & service!
Everything was great but parking can be a chore. Great wait staff and fun to talk to them.
My only problem was parking at lunch.
The lot they once used is no longer available.
Maybe because it was Friday.
Lovely place for a lunch, nicely prepared pasta (spaghetti is homemade). The waitress was accommodating and friendly. I definitely would recommend it for good Italian comfort food
This has been a favorite for many years. Last time was very disappointing.
Very nice place to spend time with friends and family
This has become one of our local favorites! Great food and staff. Never disappoints!
Every thing was prepared perfectly and the service was prompt and attentive.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent food. Best tiramisu in town
Very cozy dining place, love their food and the service
Fabulous can’t wait to go back!
Wow, not sure why I have never had a meal here before tonight. Have lived and worked in Los Gatos for over 25 years and this is the first time dining at I Gatti. All I could think about during dinner is why? Why haven’t I been having great Italian meals here before tonight? Well, the good news is I found a local Italian restaurant that has great food and exceptional service! I had the Pear Carpaccio Salad and the Penne Bolognese, both were exceptional. I recommend hitting the Penne with chili flakes and Parmigiano-Reggiano liberally. I paired the meal with a 2009 Dana Estare wine...heaven. Also, one of the best tiramisu I have had outside of Italy. It was lighter and more flavorful than any I have had in the States.
Seated immediately for our reservation. It was a holiday night so service was a bit slow all around. Halibut entree was divine and our waitress very pleasant. Enjoyed a delicious martini, but it was not very cold. Still one of our favorite dining places. :)
As usual, the food was excellent. AND as usual, the service was NOT good. I have been here with my family no less than 15 times in the last three years, and the service is consistently poor, but we love the food. The water/bread guy is always on point however. The food comes out swiftly, so it is just the waitstaff. I don't know why we have to wait for the water guy to pour our third glass of water before we even see a waitperson. They often forget to ask us if we want pepper with our salads...or we ask for a glass of wine and it takes 15 minutes, sometimes getting it after our food is served, etc.. overall, it is really the lack of attention or sensitivity to the people they are serving. And like I said, this wasn't the first time.
Dinner was delicious. Chicken Parm is the best. Love this restaurant because the menu has a variety of foods and even some wonderful vegetarian options.
The food is delicious, perfectly prepared and presented.
The food was exceptional as always. My second Watermelon cocktail tasted off but otherwise all was good. We love I Gatti!
After making reservations for 7, our table was ready upon arrival. The service was great except when we asked for more bread and butter, and water. We had to ask several times before getting it. It may have been because our server was at several other tables, and we maybe asked the wrong people, but you would think there should have been some communication between them.
We always enjoy igatti on our way to the theater. Warm, friendly and always tasty!
We had the nicest evening imaginable on Saturday night at I Gatti. We arrived an hour early (!) and were still warmly welcomed by our hostess-- what a pleasant thing that always is! Hoping to find a spot at the bar for a drink before the last member of our party arrived, we saw quickly that the bar area was very busy on a Saturday night, but what a nice surprise! Our reserved booth was ready for us an hour early, by chance! Our waitress was friendly, engaging and attentive from start to finish; our drinks were terrific (a Manhattan that seemed off just a bit was quickly re-made, no questions asked!); and our meal, when it arrived, was tasty and quite delicious. The atmosphere overall was festive, fun and not too loud. Every table was full and seemed happy, like ours, and we all agreed that we could come back to I Gatti if possible-- and sooner than later, except that we're all Jesuit priests in formation and this was a special night we were treated to-- which could not have been better! The evening was a joyful reunion of old friends and we left satisfied and very grateful.
Disappointing and overpriced. Based on earlier reviews I guess we had higher expectations. iGatti is a mediocre Italian restaurant in a quaint downtown Los Gatos. The setting and ambiance are wonderful - just what you would expect looking at it from the outside. Unfortunately, the service was slow (I honestly felt like we were invisible) and the food was bland. Given how much they were charging for basic plates (i.e. $27 for a tasteless Chicken Parm), we expected more. If you are looking for a great Italian meal, go a few doors down and try the Butternut Squash raviolis at La Pasteria.
We had a reservation at 6:15. The restaurant was empty but they wanted to seat us outside (it was freezing cold). They said the inside tables are reserved, I asked for whom because we had a reservation as well. After some back and forth they finally agreed to give us a table inside. Bad experience.
We greatly enjoyed everything about our meal!
One of our new favs in the Bay area! Great food and friendly staff, nice decor as well. Will definitely go back!
