hi one of the guests arrived while it was still the happy hour menu so they ordered a bunch of stuff when they told me that I was getting a steak sandwich I thought you would do something fabulous with mushrooms and onions and cheese & garlic aioli with herbs & thinly sliced tasty steak! But it was a too thick toast & a ugly slab of meat that I couldn't even cut through? Rob our waiter was perfectly lovely & that was the best part! Once in awhile I do enjoy having supper in 1979 Thanks

Could have been better. Steaks were dry. Bernaise was tasteless. Baked potato over cooked. We came in with our two boys and they sat us in an emergency exit corner with an exit door on one side and the bar keep supply on the other. They made my son get up and allow them in the bar storage three times. There were plenty of other open tables…. My boys go out all the time and are well behaved. It was a shame they judged us. We asked to move after all the disruption and the server told us “oh that doesn’t usually happen”. If the food was really good, I could looked past the table, but, with both combined it was probably our least favorite and over priced meal in Whistler.

Attention and help whilst deciding on what to order was of great help. Back home our meat cuts have different names and so all of the neccessary explanations were given to us!

Why do they ask if it was for a special occasion when they don’t do anything special for you? Told them it was for my wife’s 50th birthday and they were too cheap to even give her a piece of cake. When we declined to buy their dessert the waiter even have the nerve to say, “You do realize that you won’t have a cake to blow out the candles.” Even The Keg gives you a birthday cake! Not to mention how much we spent on steak at this place. We went there for the good memories we had many years ago and this was a big disappointment. No more Hy’s for us!
