Had very delicious steak and a great singer and great service
We really enjoyed our dining experience at Hy’s. The valet parking, great personal service by the staff was great. There was a live musician there, but he played softly, so you could hear it, but enjoy conversation at your table & not have to scream at your seat mates. We will definitely return!
With all measures – superb! As many of the reviews noted, this is an old-school throwback to the 1960s and 1970s steakhouse. Service was done by thoughtful and attentive team. Stuart, in particular, was outstanding.
This exceeds my previous favorites of Gibsons in Chicago and Bobby Vans in DC… Extremely high praise.
The table side Caesar salad was a delight. The T-bone steak was humongous – definitely enough to share for two. No need to order a side – a potato and a small amount of vegetables come with the steak.
Good not great
Nice atmosphere, service and taste.
We visited with families Lu including kids
Valentine's day dinner held on our Saturday due to work and availability of our babysitter. Nevertheless, I think it's better to go later in the days of the actual holiday/event since knowingly the place would be pack and crazy busy. And I believe we wouldn't have had an exceptional service we had on Saturday if we went on Vday. Service and food just as expected: Above and beyond.
the waiters are very personable, helpful and professional in what they do.
the food as always is great. the presentations of our veggie salads and the
banana flambe were awesome. plan to return with our children so they can
experience the great service and foods as well as the liquor beverages.
Hy's has been one of my favorite restaurants of all time. They just do everything right. Old school service. Attention to detail, great food, great quality and a nice setting. I also left stuffed to the gills. We had the table side caesar salad, I had the delmonico and my wife had the fillet. Both were cooked to perfection. I ordered 3 different tasting sauces. The sauces were great but honestly the steak was so good, it didn't need any sauce. Cheese bread was tasty as always. They gave us a nice dessert for our anniversary and a complementary picture. The coffee is great as well. I will certainly be back for more.
Steak is overpriced and so-so at best. Prime rib was better but nothing special. Caesar salad prepared at table was barely edible.
Have to say the strawberry something cake they say was complimentary was pretty good though.
Great service and amazing food! My husband definitely enjoyed his birthday dinner. Thank you, Hy’s!
Sara who served us was excellet
Excellent food, service and ambiance! Our favorite restaurant for over 30 years.
Mike, Brett and the rest of the foh were amazing! Best service and great hospitality!
Love it here it is our usual valentine stop!
Hy’s was a fabulous destination for Valentine’s Day dinner. Definitely a fun fancy option for two love birds to dine on this day! Definitely don’t miss out on the dessert!!
As always, absolutely the best restaurant to celebrate a very special occasion. Will continue to come here! The food and service are superb!
Our stay was wonderful! The food was delicious and hot, the servers friendly, and we got to sit in the same seat as we did last time we came! The table next to us were louder than others, and used profanity In their regular vocabulary. Other than that, it was wonderful.
We enjoyed our dining experience here! The food was fantastic! Would definitely go back
Food and service was excellent. 4 star because there was a woman peddling roses. Like she came in off the street and they just let her. I couldn't believe it, very tacky.
Best steak anywhere.
This is my first trip back to Hy's since probably the late 90's. I chose to take my honey there for Valentine's Dinner. The upstairs dining area has been tastefully reappointed. The food was as enjoyable as I had remembered. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection and generous. My New York steak was tender and juicy. The ambiance was quite romantic with the live vocals of Audy Kimura playing in the background. Overall I would give my experience a 9 out of a 10. 10 is reserved for an establishment that knocks my socks off. This was close.
Hy’s exceeded our expectations in every way. I know our party was a bit distracted and slow to order. We even had an elderly guest that fell asleep for a second. The staff was so patient with us. I can’t say enough for the delicious dinner and dessert. You know you’re in for a treat when you walk into Hy’s.
We will be back.
Hy's you never let us down! It was perfect except for making my son change his shoes. He had very high end sandals on and they called him out on it embarrassing him in front of his gf.
Pre Valentine dinner. We both enjoyed the service, food, ambience, & value including the knowledge of our server;
Daniel who provided the best service we have had in quite awhile in dinning out. The Steak was the best we had as my wife truly enjoyed every bite and w/ the side dishes we had was also very tasteful. The Dessert was quite delicious too. We plan on going back there when my son comes home for a visit. We can’t wait. We both
highly recommend this restaurant for an evening out for a super wonderful dinning experience you will never forget.
thank you very much!!!
I frequently dine at Hy’s, they were especially busy the night I went so I was trying to be understanding but food service took way longer then normal. My salad came out fairly quickly but it wasn’t up to the normal standards that I’m used to, I normally get the table side Caesar salad but upon the recommendation from the waiter he suggested that I just order it from the kitchen as he said that it’s exactly the same as the table side Caesar salad but comes out a lot quicker. The Caesar salad I received looked like someone just threw it on a plate and sent it out, nothing like what I would expect from Hy’s especially when on average I dine there at a minimum of once a month. Then I waited around 15-20 minutes from the time I finished my salad until I got my main entree, all the while I felt a little neglected by my waiter and staff. All in all, I still like Hy’s and will go back but I’m extremely disappointed in this past experience especially when we went there to celebrate my birthday,
