Our second time dinning at Husk and very happy with our experiences. Great food and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Went for dinner - probably better for lunch to get your favorites at a better value. LOVED the bread and any dish with rice. Everything else was good but it was the rice dishes that were incredible
Absolutely amazing. They had customized menus for my birthday. They split the entree before it made it to the table. The food was excellent.
Excellent food and experience. Went for our anniversary and didn’t disappoint. Will be back!
Amazing! Sean Brock is my hero.
Amazing place in every way
Everything was nice, my appetizer was good but needed a bit more flavor. My entree on the other had was amazing!
Husk is one of my favorite restaurants and it never disappoints. The food is excellent as is the ambiance. And the service is spot on! Can’t recommend it enough.
The New York Strip was exceptional. Hard to get a restaurant to do rare properly. Great presentation as well.
Our family really enjoyed the dining experience. The menu was southern cuisine that was above any other experience we have had. For our late lunch we enjoyed mushroom toast, a meaty pork belly sandwich, perfectly done fried chicken, and a side of cheese grits (the table shared). We look forward to returning.
Unfortunately we were excited to eat at Husk. However we found the experience less than thrilling for an overpriced meal. We ate at several other top restaurant in SC. Would not recommend Husk. All hype no substance just an inflated bill. True dissatisfaction.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and to our delight the menu we received had
Happy Anniversary written on the menu. We received two glasses of complimentary champagne and were not charged for desert.
Good service and the freshness of the food ingredients was noteworthy.
The shrimp and grits, are a must! The fried chicken was wonderful as well. Inventive cocktails, an all around great dining experience!
Unique menu items all served with a Southern twist. Highlights on the small plate was the fried chicken skin and the ribs - both were awesome! Service was on point. No desert. Great evening, a truly excellent meal, will definitely return when next in Charleston.
We were seated in an area with two very loud couples who choose to seat their equally loud children at their own table. Additionally, I was not informed they were only serving brunch - no lunch menu which was not what we were looking for at all. Waitress was apologetic but we were disappointed as we had heard great things.
Husk is a superb and unique dining experience! The food is beyond the description of mere words. MUST check out the bar next door! Husk, Charleston is a must!
We had Sunday brunch. My first time at Husk. I had the pancake topped with peaches and fresh whipped cream and sweet walnuts. Amazing. I will go for dinner my next visit to Charleston.
Highly recommend without reservation
We went for brunch and the cocktails and food were AMAZING! I had the savory french toast and the cinnamon bun bites. Meal was Perfect!
Not near as good as the reviews and other media says it is. Actually was a little disappointed with the food and the insanely loud noise levels in the restaurant.
We planned our entire weekend getaway around our reservation at Husk. Our dinner was just wonderful. The ambiance was casual and relaxed, but so warm and had a feeling of being somewhere special. It felt like eating at someone's home.
I had the steak dish with a "boursin" style cheese top and grilled veggies. Everything was cooked absolutely perfectly, and my steak just melted in my mouth. My wife had the catfish with the best sauce.
I don't think we were seated more than 10 minutes before I was texting photos of the menus to other friends and family to tell them we'll have to come back.
While never once feeling rushed or pushed, we completed our meal and were walking out the door in just 40 minutes. I think this was partly due to having a small party (2) right at opening (6:00pm) and only having 1 drink each. Truly terrific meal!
Fried chicken, as advertised, is quite good. So, was the crispy pigs ear wrapped in lettuce, the cornbread and the shrimp & grits. Service solid as well. Server knew the menu well and took the time to describe dishes and drinks. And, the pork fat honey butter is outrageously good.
Outstanding example of southern cuisine. Highly recommend a stop at Husk when in Charleston. Our drinks, appetizers, and meals were wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful and the ambiance was great. I look forward to going back.
Impeccable food and service! They even customized the menus for the our anniversary!
The meal was outstanding! Amazing blends of spices created a symphony in our mouths.
We had lunch at Husk and the food was amazing! The burger was the best I’ve ever had. Try one of their shrubs if you want something non-alcoholic and refreshing.
Was a guest with people who have eaten here and was excited to try , Menu changes everyday so that was something to look forward to , Just happened that night menu was not to my liking , What I ate food was good but limited selection for my taste . Also very upsetting such a high end expensive place has very strict pour measures on there drinks . For that reason alone I wouldn't go back .
We highly recommend Husk. It is quiet atmosphere set in an old Charleston Home. No TVs or other distractions. The food was excellent. For appetizers, my wife had charred broccoli with pork belly, Nicola potato, country ham harissa and feta cheese while I had roasted SC (South Carolina) mushrooms with smoked TN (Tennessee) brisket, whipped farmers cheese , crispy kale and sourdough. Our entrees consisted of Atlantic Grouper and confit duck leg. Both dishes where scrumptious. The grouper came with white acre and English peas , Hakurei turnips, sour garlic, dill and aged cheese broth. The duck came with pan fried cabbage, sugar snaps and baby carrots, and country ham with "XO" sauce. Note: the menu changes daily depending on what fresh produce is in season. The restaurant celebrates produce produced locally and the Chef/Owner Sean Brock has resurrected many heirloom vegetables and vintage recipes. There is an extensive list of spirits. I was attracted to the list of bourbons and wines. The next time we are in Charleston we will go back just to explore cuisine further.
This restaurant was amazing! While waiting for lunch, they brought homemade sesame rolls that were so light, almost like a croissant but not flaky, with their own tupelo honey butter. The shrimp and grits were the best I've had, light and cheesy in a curry broth with green onions and peppers. So delicious! We also shared the sausage melt and that was so incredibly good! Mild sausage and white cheddar on a hoagie roll. Our server was very helpful. I would definitely go back and highly recommend Husk.
Had dinner there for my husbands 60th Birthday. Food was outstanding! Great service. Beautiful place. Wish they would have acknowledged his Birthday in some form. I did let them know that when I made reservations.
Visited Charleston from Boston. Knew we wanted to come to Husk for our anniversary. Totally worth it. We hit up the bar first and had the punch and shrubs. At the restaurant, service was great. We were given customized menus that said Happy Anniversary and glasses of bubbly. Food was beyond amazing and delicious. Wished we could eat there again soon.
We waited over 15 minutes for a cheese plate with our coffee for dessert and when we asked our server where it was he was anxious to give us a bill to be on our way. No explanation or apology for the mishap. Unfortunate.
The food was excellent as usual...the service was aloof, almost as if they didn’t want to be too attentive or smothering.
Our waiter was excellent. The food we had was mostly lunch type food but was well prepared. We would definitely return to this restaurant the next time we are in Charleston.
The food was wonderful, the server was great; the total experience was awesome!
Our honeymoon visit to Charleston included a meal at the much acclaimed Husk. It did not disappoint. The service and food were outstanding. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Our water glasses were continuously filled without request. The food was plated beautifully and tasted oh so good. The menu changes daily as the food is locally sourced, so I suspect it’s based on what available and in season. Reservations are a must.
This was our first reservation in Charleston for our babymoon. We chose this place after recommendations from a few people. It surely exceeded our expectations. We had the oysters and pickle ear lettuce wraps for our first course. I don't typically like oysters but these were done very well. For our second course we did the NC chicken and the pork chop. So many great flavors all in one dish. We finished off the night with a chocolate ice cream sandwich and an oatmeal pie. The oatmeal pie dish gives you varying textures and flavors. Needless to say we will return here on future trips to Charleston.
Went for brunch - food was amazing! Bloody Mary's fantastic.
Our group of 4 had brunch there and ordered nearly everything on the menu. We had to take a lot home but it was great to try everything. The food is exceptional, the setting is lovely, the service is friendly and warm.
