Husk was great! We loved the atmosphere and simplicity of the food and ingredients.
The food was terrific and the service impeccable. A really fabulous dining and culinary experience
Amazing fried chicken and bread pudding vlovely service
Husk has fallen way down since the Shawn Brock days. Menu is limited, overpriced, and the portions are small. Even the bourbon menu has shortened. The only saving grace of the evening was our server. Spunky and fun
They could use a real infusion of creativity
Great food! Everything was delicious! Amazing!
Great food, ambiance and most of all service. Jeremy was outstanding and friendly. Highly recommend.
Can’t go wrong - a celebration of southern food and ingredients - one of the top 5 meals I’ve had in my life.
Our first visit here was following my son’s college graduation. It did not disappoint!
The experience for us as a family was fantastic. Shelby waited on us and was great. She knew the menu, both food and drinks, and was really patient with us. We didn't feel rushed and it was really nice to take the whole experience in at our own pace. We will definitely come back. We traveled from Dallas, TX and it was our first visit to the Charleston area. We can't wait to come back!
Incredible atmosphere and food quality! Highly recommend if you can get a reservation!
Living in their laurels. Not worth the price at all. Cooked perfect but taste is lacking
still another great meal at husk, server was helpful and knowledgeable which we needed to make our choices, such an interesting menu and look forward to our next visit
We had an amazing time at HUSK. Having arrived early and expecting to have a drink while waiting, we found that want possible during covid protocols. The hostess recommended a small wine bar to wait. When we returned we were warmly welcomed, congratulated on our anniversary and shown our table. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. The food and cocktails were tremendous. Balance was perfect while each component shone. Just wonderful.
Was seated in an out-of-the-way secondary location despite asking for outside table. Waiter Kailyn was attentive and made great suggestions on the lettuce wrap pork appetizer, as well as wine to accompany the meal.
The Grouper (with potatoes, kale, leeks and buttermilk broth and dill) was well cooked but the accompanying potatoes were not. They were hard. Kailyn took them back but replacement potatoes came back exactly the same! Management offered another entree or to take it off bill, which was way more than necessary, since the fish was perfect.
I opted instead for a make-good free dessert: lemon poppyseed cake with rhubarb and strawberries and rose granita, and it was outstanding. It’s been a long time since dessert was the best part of a meal, but in this case, it was.
Food was amazing! My wife had the grouper, I had the steak dinner. Very good portions, didn’t leave hungry or stuffed. Great attentive service. Made my reservation over a month in advance. Crazy, but worth it.
Food is fantastic, portions are on the smaller side.
The food was fantastic from top to bottom!
Food and service were good but the portions were ridiculously tiny for the prices.
We enjoyed our experience at Husk. Food selections were wonderfully unexpected and delicious. Maybe a tad bit slight on portions, especially the appetizer, but overall very good.
Service was ok, waiter seemed distracted paying attention to 5 tables at one time. We did feel a bit rushed.
We went into the adjoining bar for a nightcap and that was quite pleasant.
Food was good.
Server was excellent.
Shack/garage/bar we were seated in upstairs was very dark and cold. They turned up the lights at sundown but we were wondering why they hadn’t done that all night. We’re in our twenties and could hardly read the menu!
Very well organized operation from check in to get seated. Staff is very efficient. Tanya our waitress was very professional and top notch. The food quality was excellent. Appetizers were very good including salad, cornbread and a deviled pimento spread. Entrees including grouper and chicken were spectacular. Lemon poppyseed cake for dessert was very refreshing. Cocktails were also well prepared.
Excellent food excellent server! Bar was also fun! Great bartender!
Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food, the food was very good! Only reason I would not give it a 5 star would be the problem we had with dessert - it took almost 25 minutes to get our dessert - a slice of cheesecake and peanut butter pie. We asked twice where it was. That's a bit bizarre.
Went for an anniversary dinner.Doned on patio. Great venue and delicious food. We had duck confit and grouper. We enjoyed it more than The Ordinary. Short walk from our hotel (Vendu).
I made a reservation two months ago, and we were seated inside at a tiny little table in a corner that was not romantic on an absolutely gorgeous day. The food was very tasty, but they don’t even give you a piece of bread to go with your dinner. The dinner price was expensive, the portions small, so you don’t get much bang from your buck. Just another tourist trap I think.
Always amazing food snd service. Tried the fried chicken - juicy, crispy, with a slight kick-loved it. All of our choices and drinks were wonderful. No surprise! 😊
Great Mother’s Day time and experience.
I visited Husk for Mother’s Day brunch and our party was a bit disappointed by the menu options. Only one item (a baked pasta dish) offered an egg and there was really only one breakfast/brunch item on the entree list (French toast). I ended up getting the hamburger, which was tasty, but just not what I really wanted for Mother’s Day brunch.
The goat cheese tart appetizer was not good. Dry pie crust with caramelized onions that were flavorless, and then there were just tiny dabs of goat cheese around the plate for presentation. Very disappointing; however, my friend who drinks Old Fashions said hers were the best she had ever had. The main course (I had French toast) was delicious. We went for Mother's Day and there were screaming toddlers all around us so that took away from the nice ambiance. Overall I was slightly disappointed, but would probably give it another try for dinner.
I am from Charleston and have eaten at possibly all featured restaurants. They are all wonderful but Husk was something different and very enjoyable. Loved it and look forward to next visit!
not sure what the rave is about,, I always leave underwhelmed, its good not great,
We were disappointed in the service here, had to wait and flag down someone to actually get water after waiting for quite some time. When food was delivered, the staff person did not ask if we needed anything additional , just dropped and went, had to wait to find another server to get silverware. The flavor of the pasta was good, but it looked like it had been sitting under a warmer, and the French Toast was not cooked all the way through. NO one ever came and asked us how it was. We asked for seating somewhere else in the restaurant, and were told that the tables we wanted out on the patio were booked already and would be seated "Any Minute" yet more tables opened up on outside on the patio and the entire outdoor patio remined empty the entire time were there (bout an hour and half)remained empty the entire time. I thought the hype for this restaurant was not worth the frustration.
Food was good. However, we had a 10:15 am reservation and we got there at 10 am. They would not seat us until 10:15. When we went inside, there were plenty of open tables, so basically they made us wait outside for no reason.
We were visiting Charleston and knew we had to get to Husk. It turned out to be even better than we could have expected. All the food was fantastic and the service we got was outstanding!!
Amazing food and atmosphere. We kept a very late reservation just for a chance to try this place, and we were not disappointed. Everything from the cocktails to dessert was memorable.
This was our second time here - the first time being for Brunch two years ago. This time we came for a dinner date and it was a complete waste of money. Every dish was small and cold. When we declined to order entrees because of the food thus far, the waiter openly expressed his disappointment. It was awkward. Never again.
Celebrating our daughter’s graduation from nursing school. Perfect setting and wonderful food. Service and ambiance were both stellar
Husk in in an old house with great ambiance. Having separate rooms with small numbers of tables, allows for quiet conversations. The food is always the best locally sourced. The food preparation is perfect and delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.
We were very satisfied with the service and food at Husk. However, when I made a reservation and when I checked again today, 6:00 pm inside was the only option. We stayed until 8:00 pm and there were multiple tables available inside and outside. It was very disappointing as we wanted a later reservation. I don’t think we will be using Open Table again and just call the restaurant directly. since I’ve
