Husk - Charleston
Great food with an authentic southern flavor. Beautiful building and the food was plated like art.
Great dining experience at Husk. Everything from the food, service and ambiance was a must try. We could only get a late reservation but it was well worth the wait.
The whole experience was a disappointment. Food was mediocre - ribs appetizer was tough and way too smokey, the faro mushroom side dish was so smokey we couldn't eat it. Our server was efficient but impersonal. My husband had an upset stomach after the meal. I'd recommend trying one of the many other options in Charleston.
PHENOMENAL!! Best meal we've had in a very, very long time!!
I would recommend and look forward to dinning here again.
We brought our out of town guests, who were given 3 choices.
Once again, Husk exceeded our expectations. They are still talking about how delicious their Sunday lunch was!
Delicious burger! Small menu
Always a great experience. Great service too.
Such a lovely experience! Delicious food, lovely staff and ambience!
Oysters were very good but the pork chop was very fatty and contained a lot of gristle.
Flavor was good but over a third of the chop was inedible.
My wife's tilefish was good and again very flavorful but the sweet potatoes were almost raw.
Pecan pie was very good.
I would probably not return, there are too many other good restaurants
Had the roasted oysters for appy.. there was so much pepper in them it was really not enjoyable at all. Tilefish for dinner.. the sauce it was in was very bland.
My husbands tenderloin he stated was just 'ok' - not great. He did enjoy the ribs for appy.
Amazing service and food. I’m so glad I finally got to eat here. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it!
The food and service were excellent and it’s loca in a gorgeous historic Charleston building.
We were disappointed with the vibe upstairs.
Need to lighten that space and spruce it up
Outstanding meal! Our server was incredible and you can really tell he enjoy's working at the Husk and that truly matters! The menu was phenomenal and may I suggest the fire roasted oysters, because wholly moly they are the best I've EVER had! Kudos all the way around!
Nice place physically. Pleasant , efficient staff. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Brought us some honey and hot sauce and said” try this on your cornbread it’s my favorite”. It was amazing. Food is interesting and inventive.
We had an awesome experience! Go here!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The wait staff were attentive and polite. Our food was nicely presented on the plate and we enjoyed the flavors in our meals. Thoroughly enjoyed the pecan tart with orange bourbon sherbet to finish our meal!
Always a hit on our visits to Charleston and pimento cheese always seems to play a part.
Gathering of old friends
Went for lunch. Great service and food.
1st time to husk , expected a lot more. Wouldn’t make a point to return.
We were greeted warmly upon arrival and were seated in the upstairs dining area. Randy, our server, walked us through the menu selections and provided helpful suggestions. We split the fried cauliflower and little gem lettuce salad as starters - both were outstanding. My husband chose the chicken for his entree and I picked the tilefish. Both were OK - nothing outstanding - but adequate. We also ordered a skillet of the cornbread to share - cooked perfectly and served hot in a cast iron skillet. For me it was slightly too salty, but the texture was great. Loved the wine selection - especially the wine & soil descriptions and identifiers. The French press coffee was a great way to end the evening - the brownie dessert not so much. Overall the food was good, but the service and ambience were better and would bring us back.
It had come highly recommended but was quite disappointing. The chicken wings were good as was the bread basket. The homemade pasta was disappointing. The shrimp and grits was basic. The cocktails were good.
Everyone at TeamLogic IT of Charleston, SC is a foodie - HUSK does not disappoint! A special thank you to our gracious server!
I had very high expectations coming here. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. We tried four different drinks; they were all unique and well made. As for the food, we had two appetizers, two entrees, one of the table sides, and a dessert. All of it had lots of flavor, perhaps a bit over salted, but nothing life-changing. The most disappointing part was the value; we spent over $200 for two people. I think there nearby but restaurants offering a similar level of experience at better value.
Fabulous service and decadent, artful local cuisine. Husk was recommended to us, and we highly recommend it to others.
One of the best meals ever. Thank you!
Our food was delicious and service was excellent. Dining room was lovely!
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had, in any restaurant anywhere
I went to husk with a friend of mine for a 30th birthday celebration. We were able to sit in the front room next to the fireplace. We loved the food and the ambiance was lovely. Highly recommend the shrimp rice. So delicious! Not pictured we also tried the Swiss roll as a dessert. While the roll and sherbet were delicious, I wasn’t a fan of the sesame nuts that were with the roll.
I was so excited to eat at Husk but found the whole experience underwhelming in spite of all the build up. We arrived on time for our early eveninf reservation and were seated in the cramped waiting area despite almost all tables being open and the host standing at the podium. We were then escorted to a table upstairs was a bit inconsiderate as I was carrying a small baby (but maybe they didn’t want a family on the ground floor for appearances?) the server seemed bored and rehearsed. The food was pleasant but decidedly our least favorite that we enjoyed over our long weekend in town.
Food was excellent . We will be back
We especially loved the panzanilla salad
My husband and I were there celebrating the first day of our honeymoon, and Husk was perfectly on theme. We had reservations and were sat immediately. They had put our special day on the individually printed menus, which was such a nice touch. Between drinks, an appetizer, two entrees and dessert everything was perfect. The service and ambiance were also perfect. Thank you, Husk!
BEST DINING EXPERIENCE IN CHARLESTON
Our server Heath was extremely well informed and passionate
about his mission at Husk. Made our lunch experience memorable.
Going back tomorrow for dinner. We are having dinner at FIG tonite...
What a lovely place, Charleston!
Nick was very helpful and knew the menu well. Unique wine selections. Food terrific.
We were very disappointed with Husk, especially knowing that it was among the most highly rated restaurants in Charleston. We both ordered the Southern Fried Chicken (lunch menu) which was highly touted in several reviews we read before our visit. The chicken was undercooked, and extremely spicy, akin to Buffalo chicken wings which should have been listed on the menu. We sent the undercooked portion back which was no problem, but unfortunately it was no better the second time around. The manager came over, apologized, and we were not charged for the entree. But interestingly enough, a diner next to us also sent the chicken back with the same problem, which would indicate that something is wrong in the Husk kitchen. We will not return to Husk any time soon.
We were so excited and booked way back in December for our trip. We were slightly disappointed with the food and service. The brisket sandwich was underwhelming and the appetizers were just okay. Our waiter seemed disinterested in us and was not welcoming compared to other servers we had during our trip to Charleston.
