    Four of us ate in the fine dining side of the restaurant. The menu was interesting and wine list Ok and not too pricey. We shared the smoked trout appetizer and a couple salads. All were good, salads a little small for the price. For mains we had the ravioli, salmon, and short ribs. All were very good, and the risotto with the salmon was excellent. For desert we had blueberry crumble and pistachio creme brûlée.- both quite nice. The prices were a little high but this is coastal Maine so that is to be expected,. Our biggest complain t was the noise level. It was a Friday evening before the season really gets going, so the room was 75-80% full, but it was almost impossible to have a conversation. I can't imagine what it is like in the middle of the summer. My impression is the tables are too close together- we had to squeeze to get to our seats- and there is no sound dampening. As a result everyone has to shout to speak to their dinner companions. The result is bedlam. We liked the menu but we would not return because good conversation is as important as the food, and it really wasn't possible.

    Dined here many times, today, Mothers Day, they were very unprepared. Ran out of eggs at brunch and we were served French fries instead of home fries. Service was very slow(not our servers fault) this was very unusual for Hurricane.

    Experience was not good! Oysters Rockefeller was made with no effort at all to detail. Just a little piece of spinach and a toss of breadcrumbs. Total failure. Lamb chops were not delivered medium rare. Chef is trying to be creative but sacrificing taste. Grilled endive may sound interesting but what about taste! Menu very descriptive and appealing sounding but doesn’t deliver. After being a patron for many years won’t be coming back.

    Love the onion soup and house salad with pistachios and roasted shallots. It’s been a decade since I was last there and I won’t wait so long again.
