   been coming to ogunquit for 20+ years and every year we drive 30+ minutes to kennebunkport just to eat at hurricane. Great food, great service, and beautiful view if sat in the sunroom. My family and I like to sit in the sunroom to watch the sunset over the water and it never disappoints.

   Your closing manager was delightful and Soooooooo helpful! We had planned a last minute trip to Maine fromSTL MO and she took the time to write down, give and share recommendations of things to see! The food was verrrrry good as well!    Lovely, calm, early dinner at 5:30. Great view of town and sunset. Seafood stew and beautiful autumn salad. Great service. Highly recommennd!

   Let me begin by saying the food was top notch. We had a dozen oysters…delicious and the waitress was very accommodating for southerners who love their cocktail sauce. We had catch of the day which was a perfectly cooked halibut. Got a cheesecake to go, which was delicious. Best part of the experience was the owner, Taylor, driving us to our hotel when we couldn’t get an Uber. Great guy. Great restaurant.

   This was a 3rd time here, last time was in 2021. Food portion and flavor has decreased and minimal portion. I’m 5’3, 115 pounds so it’s not like I overeat but I left hungry and $160 less.

   Hi Julie, thanks for telling us about your experience. I'm sorry to hear that you felt our portion sizes were not big enough. We have not changed our portions sizes over the years and are bigger than most in town. I saw your dinner receipt for a Garlic Shrimp and Salmon entrée with some drinks for $97.20, not sure where the $160 total came from. I suggest getting an appetizer if you're really hungry or one of our house-made desserts. I feel a 1 star review is a bit harsh for thinking our portion sizes have slightly changed. I will let my Chef know to see if he thinks we should be adding more rice or pasta to these dishes as the Salmon has always been a 7-8oz filet and the garlic shrimp has always come with 5 jumbo shrimp. I'm 5'9 170lbs and have never left hungry after one of our entrée.

   Dinner was great , I had the Haddock special and it was delicious. My wife had the filet and we split the two so it was like surf and turf for 2 which worked out great. The only problem really was a lack of communication between Open Table and the restaurant. It asked any special occasion when making the reservation in which I said Birthday but nothing was said or done when I was there? Not sure why Open Table asks if not communicated?
