    Very understaffed and therefore, slow for happy hour. Bartenders were also waiting tables. It took over an hour to get our food.

    Started with drinks and appetizer. Server delivered drinks and disappeared. appetizers were delivered by another staff member. Soup was luke warm lots of crab. Had hoped to order bottle of wine with entrees, server is missing staff clears the table. 20 minutes later entrees arrive asked for server to be found. Entrees salmon is overcooked and dry scallop in the middle grit. creole shrimp lacks the creole no heat. Server arrives 10 minutes later we order glass of wine at this point. Server never asks about food, even though 80% is still on the plates. We would never go back. The tidewater house to stay in was great Chris B

    Honestly, we have been visiting Hunters for a while. Only in the last few times the food was not worth it. I hade the filet mignon, puff pastry, carrots etc. Everything seemed to have been prepared in advance. The filet was barely warm, the puff pastry was rough and hard, carrots old and nearly cold. The place was not packed and wait staff was plentiful. We may look at another alternative considering it was the second time we were not happy.

    We had eaten here previously and the service lacked but we attributed it to being busy. I had made a reservation for early Saturday evening. Restaurant was nearly empty three other tables of guests either eating or finishing up. We waited and waited. Our water glasses were filled and no one ever came to check on us. We left after about 25 mins. After this being our second time with poor service we will never be back. We couldn’t figure out why either? The hostess didn’t seem to care which whatever I wouldn’t have either as a 16 year old - the girl who filled our water was apologetic but that’s about it. It was my husbands birthday and it truly dampened our evening. We ended up at the Wardroom and that was fantastic - they also were go good to us. So we will never be back to hunters tavern they clearly didn’t want our money.

    Excellent service. Thank you Sandra. Oysters were horrible: basically no oysters in the oysters. Caesar salad wasn’t good. Not a lot of flavor in any of the dishes.

    Steak ( NY Strip) was very tough and chewy. Not moist at all. Literally couldn’t eat it . Was a terrible cut of meat . Baked potato was hard . Dessert ( Baked Alaska) seemed like it was a prepackaged dessert , not made on site , was dry and lacked any flavor . Will not be returning . Given the cost I expected a much better meal and was very disappointed!

    We ate in the bar area at Hunters’ Tavern. We love the atmosphere and the food was excellent. I had the crab cake which was delicious with French beans and mashed potatoes. The sangria was amazing!

    My dining partner has to eat gluten free and the options for him were fantastic - they even had a gluten free dinner roll for him (he couldn’t believe it). And the food was delicious, nice wine, great service. Thanks to chef and team!

    We had a birthday dinner for my daughter and son-in-law, it was a wonderful night. We started with a charcuterie board, it was plenty of food for 5 people. The entries were great, I had the best crab cake. My granddaughter who is 6 ordered off the Children’s menu, it was wonderful, the portions were very generous.

    A beautiful restaurant. Food and service were good. Food took a while come out do you do a wedding in held at the Inn. It was my birthday so that fact that it was noisy didn’t bother us. However, if you’re looking for a quiet place to eat, this is not the place. Our entire table would go back and we highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

    Service was slow….. after we were seated, we waited a good 5+ minutes before our server arrived. It appears that the servers worked on ups & not by sections - our server was handling tables across the restaurant both inside & outside. Food quality & taste were ok. Food was slow to come out of kitchen. Prices were a little on the high side considering the meal items. This was our first & last time we will frequent this local establishment.

    We told the server we had a show at the Avalon to attend. He literally took over 25 minutes to take our food order, and when it came to the table they delivered the wrong meal to one of us. He said he would put another order in but it would take a while. In the meantime, our original server came over to the table with the correct order and took the one delivered to us to another table.

    As expected, the meal was memorable and lived up to our expectations based on prior visits. The shrimp and scallop diane was to die for.... the filet mignon was perfectly cooked. Everything melted in the mouth perfectly. Our only concern was the wine pouring of the house red. Skimpy in comparison to other restaurants. Kudos to our waiter when we complained and when he brought the next glass of red, it was a bit more generous. We will definitely return for another meal in the near future.

    Excellent service and excellent entrees. We started with cream of crab soup and fried green tomatoes and enjoyed the meatloaf and crab cakes. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we took lots home but the food was delicious. Becky our server was fantastic!

    We are frequent visitors to Hunter’s Tavern in Easton Md. Whether you are dining inside or outside, the menu(which changes seasonally) is exceptional!!! The service is beyond superb and the dining experience always memorable. If you visit Easton for the day or are staying longer, if you don’t eat at Hunter’s Tavern, you are missing the best that Easton has to offer.

    Food was only so so. Ordered stuffed trout. Trout was dry instead of juicy. Best part was the grits. After reading raves about turtle soup was disappointed. Nice atmosphere and responsive service.

    We enjoyed 3 meals there over our weekend stay. All were very good and delivered to our table hot. All of our servers were very polite and courteous. I would definitely recommend Hunter’s Tavern to everyone who is in the area.

    Shrimp and scallops delicious. The rock fish was a small thin piece. Not worth the price. Gnocchi soup was very good.

    So this is a restaurant that is connected to a popular hotel in Easton, MD. My wife and I have dined here many times in particular because of the pleasant outdoor seating area. Last night we stopped by on limited notice using Open Table to make reservation and we were given a nice table and a nice young server. We ordered a bottle of wine and a shared appetizer before placing our dinner order. The appetizer came quickly and before we could ask for plates the server was gone. We used our bread plates which was awkward. When our entrees arrived the server cleared the bread plates but left the used cutlery. Again, he disappeared before we could ask for a fresh set. The food was very good and nicely presented though it would have been nice to match its quality with comparable quality service. That said, when the bill arrived I gave it a quick glance which I don’t normally do and noticed that I had been charged $25 more for the wine than the amount shown on the menu. I questioned the charge and was told that it was an error and that the bill would be adjusted. For these reasons I rated the experience at 3 stars instead of 4. Were it possible to apply a 2.5 star rating I would have done so.

    Always enjoy the Tidewater Inn, great history, wonderful intown old historic feeling. The food is good, can't say it is top drawer, but they do a great job. Great gathering spots for friends and to observe the going ons of Easton.
