Hunters' Tavern at the Tidewater Inn
I would recommend the restaurant to a younger person. It’s no place if you want to catchup and talk. Really loud. Food was fine, place looks great.
Thank you for dining at Hunters’ Tavern. We are glad you enjoyed the cuisine and ambience. While we do what we can to control the noise level, Hunters’ Tavern can get very busy during the weekends. You might prefer to dine with us during the week when we are less crowded, and therefore, more quiet. We are glad you had an overall positive experience, and we hope to welcome you back again soon.
My husband and I dined here for my birthday celebration. It was a Monday evening so not very busy. Our server was excellent, very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. My husband ordered the duck entree and I had the pork schnitzel. Both were very good. We would definitely dine here again.
Thank you for dining at Hunters’ Tavern for your birthday celebration! We are delighted that you had an excellent experience and enjoyed the cuisine. We will share your kind words with the staff. We look forward to seeing you at Hunters’ Tavern again soon!
Great time with delicious food. Very nice experience.

Loved it! The crab cake is the best!
Our waitress Becky was wonderful !!
Everything was very good! Oysters were great!
Thank you for dining at Hunters’ Tavern. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your meal and the oysters. We will share your kind words with Becky. We hope to see you again soon!
I had a very nice lunch there. Service and food were very good. The noise level wasn’t bad. I would definitely go back!

So loud we could hardly hold a conversation without yelling. After being seated for 10 minutes we had to go to the receptionist to remind her we needed a waitress. She finally showed and after serving drinks disappeared for another 20 minutes. We placed our orders which arrived quickly - the entree within 2 minutes of serving the salads. At the end of the meal she asked if we wanted her to plate our leftovers. Two of us said yes. She put the paella together with the short ribs in a single box - what a mess! On leaving we noticed the taproom was much quieter and seemed to have more attentive service. Would try that if I ever go back.
Thank you for dining at Hunters’ Tavern. We are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your experience. We appreciate the feedback and will certainly use it as a training opportunity for our staff. Hunters’ Tavern is a popular spot in Easton, and gets very busy on the weekends. We hope you will give us a second chance sometime to earn your five-star review.
Great night outside with friends. The only minor complaint....one of our guests has a serious soy allergy and specifically told the waitress 3 times not to put the dressing on her salad. Her salad arrived with the soy dressing on it and we had to send it back and wait while it was replaced without dressing. Otherwise we had a great time by the fireplace. Will definitely go back.
Thank you for dining at Hunters’ Tavern. We are thrilled you had a great night on the terrace. We apologize about the misunderstanding of your friend’s food allergy, and we are glad you were able to get a replacement salad. We are glad you had an overall great time, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Were able to sit outside on a quiet Sunday for a delicious brunch - the menu was diverse, something for everybody, efficient and friendly service
We frequent Hunter's Tavern and have a wonderful time. This was our first experience in the restaurant and the food was terrible. The Halibut was overdone and dry, the Duck was drenched in a Cherry Sauce to the point where the Duck was invisible. A wedding that was also there might have been a cause, but still unacceptable.
Thank you for dining at Hunters’ Tavern. We are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your meals. Excellent cuisine is our very top priority, and we are disappointed that we failed to meet your expectations. We appreciate the feedback and will certainly use it to improve. We hope you will return to Hunters’ Tavern so we can earn your five-star review.
Excellent food and service.
Waited for 30 minutes before a waitress acknowledged we were there. Eventually received food that was good. Restaurant manager was very good in responding. She comped the bottle of wine. Most likely unusual event. Will return again soon to see if any improvement.
The service was excellent, we really felt very special.
The Snapper Soup was absolutely delicious. The soft shell crabs were cooked to perfection and were paired with a delicious corn relish. Desserts were a great end to a wonderful meal.
We were a party of 14 and dined in a private room for lunch. Food and service were delightful. Everyone enjoyed their lunches.
Spent the weekend at the Tidewater Inn for our anniversary. Overall a great experience that I would highly recommend.
The food was EXCELLENT! Everything else was great too.
A really enjoyable evening. Dinner and a cocktail that we’re spot on. The service was perfect, we could chat and not be interrupted. I appreciate service that uses judgement It was a delightful evening with friends highlighted by good service and very good food and drink.
Love the SkipJack bar, the crab cakes & the meatloaf!
Very nice birthday celebration
The food is always good, and the service is pleasant. The only downside is the noise from the bar, but it ends early in the evening.
Some of the best food my husband and I have ever had.
We enjoyed a few different choices at Hunters' Tavern--corn cakes for an appetizer for both of us, Weinersnitzel with spaetzle for me, and short ribs for my partner. Both of us enjoyed our meals and would certainly consider returning here for a meal.
Overall a pleasant experience
Crab cake was delicious
Delicious food, nice spot and the best spicy margarita I've ever had. Yum!
We ate on the patio with a nice quiet atmosphere. Excellent crab cakes, turtle soup and cream of crab soup, service was great
I hosted my top sales people on my team for lunch and they felt pampered!
A great Sunday brunch.
Everything was fantastic! Atmosphere, food, service, variety of food that was offered, and so many gluten free options! It was a real treat to be able to order fried green tomatoes and crab cakes - both of which were gluten free!!! Excellent!!!
We sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful meal
Atmosphere is very nice. The food had excellent flavor, and we enjoyed everything but the calamari which was very salty. We had crab dip, calamari, chicken and waffle, ahi tuna, pork chop, and the petit filet. All were excellent, nicely plated, and perfect portion sizes. The food wasn't hot, but the plates they were served on were. We provided this feedback to our waitress and look forward to our next visit.
Two of us had a lovely meal near the window. My mom had the soft crab special and I had blackened rock fish both of which were delicious Service was attentive, but not intrusive.
My one suggestion is that having dined there several times, the acoustics are challenging. Granted I’m dining with my 85 yo mother Before and after hearing aids, crowded and not , there is a lot of ambient noise. I think they would do well to add carpet or other “soft “ fixtures.
Otherwise we Love Hunters Tavern and the Tidewater!! We are always greeted enthusiastically and warmly.
Great menu, good service, nice atmosphere,
The food was delicious and all four of us liked
Baked Alaska best I have ever had.
The fried green tomatoes were amazing but much too large for an appetizer. I couldn't finish those and an entree (wonderful crab cake) so I had to leave some tomatoes. If there had been a small fridge in the hotel room, I could have saved them. Too bad!
Party of 6 at 6pm We told the waitress we needed to be out by 7 for a 7:30 concert. She was very solicitous and got us out (after a very good meal) at 5 of. We definitely recommend this restaurant.
Best crab cake ever!
It's a bit of a trek from down by Princess Anne but twice now in the past six months I've had the pleasure of eating at Hunter's Tavern. There's nothing I can think to say but praise. The people are friendly and their tableside presence is the perfect mix of attention and discretion. The food is simply outstanding. Nobody who considers Maryland to be home should miss the snapping turtle soup, which is as much an icon of our state as crabs and fine Maryland Rye whiskey. The paella was a masterpiece as well, and my wife's meal still has her talking about it too. Thank you and we WILL be back!
Best crab cake in the Easton-St. Michaels area. Yes, even better than Robert Morris Inn.
Great food and service!
We elected to dine outside at Hunter's Tavern and loved the ambience. For dinner we had the baked crab cake and the Petite Filet Mignon with Bearnaise sauce, both of which were off the charts wonderful. I'm very difficult to please with both and must say neither could, IMHO be better prepared or tastier. Wait staff were very efficient and pleasant. Prices were on the high, but reasonable side and well worth the experience as a whole. The hotel is absolutely beautiful.
