Shuka Ratings and Reviews
This continues to be one of our favorite "new" discoveries. Excellent brunch options, and really tasty and copious portions. Friendly, and helpful service. Only complaint - which isn't unique to Shuka - is the noise level. But we'll out up with that anytime, given the quality of the food.
We used to live in Tel Aviv, and were expecting a more authentic experience. The food was just good, not great. However the service we got was pretty atrocious. Dishes came out of order and after long delays. We waited for appetizers to be cleared roughly 30 minutes. Wine glasses were under filled. Dishes were missing. We are locals, and have never had such terrible service at what is regarded as a nice restaurant. Its for that reason that we wont be back. We probably also wont be visiting the other restaurants under the same management
The focus here is on middle eastern cooking and fresh ingredients. Everything we had was fresh, well prepared and seasoned. Great wine list, good service. We had a long lunch and were never rushed or ignored. I’ve also beeen here for happy hour before which is a great value and fun.
Food and drinks were excellent. Artichokes were a must! Unfortunately, service was odd and a little off putting. There were two of us and we ordered 3 appetizers and an entree to share. Instead of pacing the food so we could savor and try each dish, we were brought everything at once - at an extremely small table. Not only could we barely fit food on the table but things got cold while we ate. We mentioned it to the server and he was really snotty - telling us that we didn't specifically ask him to bring it separately. Really? We need to tell a restaurant not to bring appetizers and entrees all at once? I'm not sure if they were trying to free the table or it was just a bad call? Anyway, I would definitely try it again, but would encourage mgmt to think about taking a little more customer-friendly approach to service.
We arrived a bit early for our 7:30 reservation. We didn’t get seated until 8:00 but we were provided a round of drinks for the wait which was appreciated. We had the Brussels sprouts and three different types of kabobs. Everything was delicious! Would definitely go again.
I brought friends from out of town who wanted to break out into a new food experience. Shuka didn't disappoint. They enjoyed the Mediterranean profile, as did I. I had the shakshuka which was well spiced, but not overly so, served with grilled bread. My friends especially loved the fries that came with the lamb burger. The bloody marys were delicious!
After having a wonderful brunch here several weeks ago, we decided to return for dinner. It was another wonderful meal, with attentive and friendly service. Dishes not to be missed - beer hummus, labne with harissa, skewers of chicken, and the cauliflower. And really great (and unusual flavors of) gelati. We can't wait to go back.
The food was amazing, we got a ton of great vegetarian options like the beet hummus and market vegetables. Only is complaint: our server was a little over eager, he would try to take away dishes without asking while we were still working. The food was so good we wanted to finish all of it!
Shuka offers an inventive Mediterranean menu with great food and good service. There were a number of vegetarian options and the portions were generous. I would highly recommend the restaurant to both business and social gatherings. The Happy hour had good drink options at the bar.
