Though incredibly pricey, this was one the best meals we had in Maui. Really fantastic small plate appetizers, Inventive drinks, and great steak (we wanted a break from seafood... But they have great options as well.)

It took long to serve main dish, so they served us free tomato salad. It tastes really nice:) Although we couldn’t easily find parking lot, the manager helped us where to park. Overall, food was good, and the server there really helpful and energetic. But they were kind of busy to address our needs in time.

Our meal at Humuhumu was fabulous, but what made the experience extra special was our server, Christina. She remembered us from our visits to the restaurant last year, gave great recommendations for dishes, and her sparkling personality made the meal very memorable. If you go to this restaurant, ask for Christina! :)

Beautiful setting & great service. Seems there is no plan for diners facing into direct sun for an hour.... very uncomfortable! I suggest they seat diners according to their comfort not to the management! Service was excellent & food was almost as good as Mamas Fish House. One other comment.. we were asked if we were staying at Hotel & we were not..noticed a level of disappointment & not an extra note of welcome.

We arrived about 5:15p for 5:30p reservations. Lucky us! They asked if we wanted to have dinner in the bar area which directly fronts the most amazing view of the Pacific Ocean (see photo). The service, food and ambience was unbelievable. It was one of the most romantic and fun evenings we have ever had.

The food was delicious. My husband and I had filets. I had lobster and the tomato salad. We’re staying at the Four Seasons so hard to beat service wise, but one of the best meals we’ve had in Maui. Price point on wine (cloudy bay sauce blanc) was terrific. We’re headed to the Sunday brunch at the Grand Wailea.

3 of our party ordered the seared mahi mahi, and all 3 said it was the worst they had ever tasted. It was not seared at all and was in a cold flavorless broth. The clams weren't bad, but the rack of lamb (ordered medium) came out rare (almost blue-rare) and had very little flavor. The pina colada had so much caramel in it, it wasn't even a drink, it was just a dessert with overwhelming sugar. This place might be okay as a last resort if they had bottom dollar prices, but it was expensive and the food was pretty lousy. I would never recommend anyone to go here.

We enjoyed the best service this evening! We’ve enjoyed many wonderful meals while we have been in the islands, but tonight’s service was exceptional. It made our family meal together extra special.

One of the better restaurants on Maui! Definitely try the squash risotto!

Service was excellent. Food was very mediocre. Really has gone downhill. Brussels sprouts were cooked in some type of vinegar which totally ruined them and the ahi Tuna was served in a bland liquid which did nothing for it. Lamb was bland as well. If I had wanted fish soup, I would have ordered soup!

Really Disappointed in the selection of fish on the menu. There were more meat items and fish items to choose from. The steak had no flavor at all. The kids teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki flavor. And the two fish dishes we ordered we’re good. But if you want great seafood in Maui, go to Mama’s Fish House instead.

Great table with the lagoon and ocean views. Very nice setting. Larry was an unbelievable server. He recommended wines and food choice that went perfectly. Next time I dine at Humu, Larry will be my server.

First time to HumuHumu and very happy we found this restaurant. ( literally- found it - wandered all over hotel and directions given by staff were not very helpful. It’s definitely hidden). Once we arrive all went well. Fun decor. Good food. Our server was very friendly but slow to return between courses
We will definitely bring our children here as they will enjoy the decor

Absolutely LOVED our experience here! The ambiance, everything from the decor, the lighting, the music, the furniture... all was amazing!!! My meal was fantastic, and the portion was enough to feel satisfied! My daughter's kid's meal terriaki steak was tasty but the steak was a little tough (it seemed to be cooked a hair past well done). Kids don't usually notice stuff like that though!
I highly recommend this to anyone. It was very family friendly! For those of us with kids, it was fantastic to be seated near other children! The ambiance was perfect for my daughter's birthday dinner :)

Lovely dinner and service. Delectable fresh fish entrees were both excellent and great value. A few notes: the beet salad was comically small (and $18); the management needs to attend to the wafting scent of propane that never dissipated throughout the evening. The view and lighting around the restaurant was magical, and the winding paths through the hotel grounds provided the perfect after dinner stroll.

Our server Patrick and food runner Daniel were absolutely incredible. From the moment we sat down until the moment we left, they were amazing. Our server learned quite quickly what we had a taste for and was unbelievably helpful in picking dishes we enjoyed so much. Daniel was the man with all the answers, asking the chefs about certain details that helped us understand the multitude of flavors we were tasting across our dinner. Truly a spectacular night unlike any other I’ve had dining here!

The food is decent but they really need to do something about the stagnant pond surrounding the restaurant. The rest of the Grand Wailea has such beautifully kept water but this restaurant does not. It smells and looks cheap, not natural.

This is our first time in Maui & my wife and I wanted great food with an ocean view without a lot of noise.
We ate fairly early, (5:45 pm), so it wasn't too busy and we had as fantastic table looking over a lagoon with decorative flaming torches and the ocean was in the background.
Our waitress, Patricia was very attentive and helpful without being intrusive.
We shared a beet and goat cheese appetizer, I followed with the catch of the day and my wife had the mahi mahi. Everything was prepared beautifully with great taste and presentation. Bill including wine was $125.
Great place for an anniversary or a special date.
This was our view from our table
